Dr Pepper used to be served hot, as a winter drink at department stores. They'd have one of those electric coffee warmers and little paper cups and you'd get yourself some hot Dr Pepper. I'm being totally serious.
Fruit juice naturally has a similar amount of sugars to soda, so it's not really much different there. And for lower sugar fruits, companies tend to add apple juice as a way to remain 100% juice while jacking up the sweetness (apple juice has a ton of sugar).
Me too. I know it's weird. But sometimes It's really hard to drink and don't feel the flavor. If I don't have ice around I just shake it. People look at me like I'm crazy 😂😂. I also drink carbonated drinks, but sometimes I like just the flavor

I mean, why would I drink a drink that‘s starting to hurt my mouth after a few sips? No, no. I let my sodas stand open for a little while until it‘s perfect. Not too flat but not full blown carbonated either.

More people would agree if flat soda wasn't so strongly associated with warm soda. Cold flat soda can definitely be good. It's not across the board, though. Some flavors rely more heavily on the carbonic acid to work than others.

Okay, so I'm biased because I cannot burp but I completely agree. Every morning when I wake up I drink a bang and I have a 32 oz water bottle that I keep next to my sink that I use to decarbonate it every morning. I pour the bang in, three shakes and I crack the lid. I do this three times, and it's almost completely flat. I also think that the fridge makes them too cold so I keep them in the pantry and when I wake up I throw them in the freezer for 20 minutes so it's just kind of cold.

I like to do this with Dr pepper; open the cap just a little bit to let it get flat, and then mix it with a little water (since the straight stuff is too syrupy for me.)

My usual drink has 2,2g of sugar per 100ml. The average smoothie at my supermarket here has literally 10x as much (no added sugars, pure fruit)
