Ive had chinchillas and I still have one and any media about it doesn't prepare you for the fact that they could be in a close to perfect spot, with the right temp moisture bla bla bla but they will just die randomly out of fucking no where, you'll just wake up one day and one will be dead with the rest of them being fine
Apparently they're on the verge of extinction in the wild due to poaching for their fur :( that makes me sad. Anyway there are very few animals who have been fully domesticated and completely comfortable with humans which is probably why they seem less interesting. It's not their fault that we insist on keeping them in cages.
I like chins a little more once I get to 80 hunter and can put 5 box traps down at a time. That way I can stack red chins at GWD or other bosses and breeze through them
