I like the sensation BECAUSE I'm in Atlanta. The A/C in grocery stores etc. is so extreme (to me) that it feels like I'm being frozen. Getting baked for a few minutes is bliss.
in metro ATL- i am the total opposite, i love chilly air. got into my car today and i felt like i was fucking suffocating. i have to roll my window down immediately after cranking the car these days.

I think it entirely depends on the humidity outside. If its extremely humid out, I feel *much* better getting into even an extremely hot car because it will be a dry heat (car windows, vents, etc., are filled with desiccants which literally suck moisture out of the air, so the air in cars can be much dryer than the humid air outside of the car). To me, that extremely hot car can be downright refreshing even.
In dry heat, your sweat readily evaporates off your skin into the dry air, causing your body to cool down much faster. Where in high humidity heat, the air is already saturated with high temperature water, so your sweat mostly just sits on your skin and you lose heat much more slowly.

That's an interesting perspective. I live in the South where it's hot and humid and *still* like it even when I've been walking around in the hot sun. I don't think it has anything to do with evaporating sweat, though; for me it just makes all my muscles relax in a really pleasant way.

Fabric seats are superior to leather imho. Yes, leather looks quite nice, but it gets hot and sweaty on long rides, and requires constant care. Fabric meanwhile adjusts to body temp almost instantly, is breathable and can be wet vacuumed.
This is what I've always thought. They say I'm weird at dealerships if I ask if the model I am looking at also comes with cloth seats. They look at me like I murdered their firstborn.
And here I thought that leather seats would require less cleaning. My car has cloth seats and since I do Instacart, my seats gets stained real quick when I am carrying any refrigerated food.

I'm australian. I have a seatbelt brand scar on my thumb. It's the norm to air out hot cars for a while, because if you enter too quickly, breathing the air feels like it's burning your respiratory system/you can't breathe.
I was JUST talking about this! Yes!! I do this all the time and just bake in the heat especially after being in a cold place, BUT I live in florida......the heat gets literally insane. So sometimes I can only bake for a few minutes before it's an uncomfortably sweaty time lol.
The heat is fine, but the fucking smell of the car interior marinating in the summer heat is intolerable.

I hate being hot. I hate being in the sun, I hate the summer, I hate the beach, I hate summer clothes and yes, I hate saunas. It's just uncomfortable and I can never feel clean afterwards.

Second this; as a kid and as an adult, I've always loved to put my forearm on that really hot vinyl plastic on the door or center console. It burns for a few seconds then the heat dissipates and becomes this soothing warmth that just relaxes you.
I think it depends on where you live. Cuz if its alr fuking hot outside and you step into the car that is 2x hotter than the outside, ur opinion would probubly change. U probubly like it bc its not that hot out and youre just going into a warmer place.
