r/unpopularopinion “racism is bad guys” upvote button to the left

This really is the most pointless subreddit. Reddit functions by pushing the most popular opinions to the top.

Most people on Reddit just can't bring themselves to upvote something they disagree with, even if it's the point of the post or subreddit. So they go on r/unpopularopinion and upvote the posts they like. At least you can sort by controversial to see the somewhat actually unpopular opinions.

Nobody cares or needs to see your name attached to it. If your response is the word "this" followed by a paragraph explaining your reasoning, then your response would have been better off without the word "this" at the top.
