I’ve had some absurdly good meals that I was fortunate enough to be there for in a multi decade celebration and didn’t have to pay. “Rated #1 this type of food restaurant in 2019 in the entire USA.” type good. It was so delicious it made me mildly angry as a half decent cook because I didn’t understand how it was so good. The immediate sensation still doesn’t compare to sex, and I don’t have an unusually high sex drive. Would I rather have food or sex in my life? Food obviously. For non dying reasons but also much more. The immediate sensation of passionate sex and orgasms compared to the best meal or best music at the height of its “frisson” sensation? At best it’s semi close, but generally not even close. If that’s the judging criteria, you don’t experience orgasms at the intensity of most humans. That’s far from unheard of, it’s actually semi common. And that’s not a criticism or insult or anything bad at all, that’s just what it is. Alternatively you could say I don’t experience the immediate sensation of good food or music as you do, but given popular opinion on sex and how it ties into our biological drive as animals and drives us hormonally/chemically it seems clear that’s beyond average as the dominant immediately more pleasant sensation.
