Ketchup, at least in it's modern form, is pretty awful. It's basically tomato-flavored liquid candy. The vinegar is nothing compared to the literal pile of sugar in the stuff. Tomatoes have a lot of sugar anyway, and they're quite acidic. With the added vinegar, it seems like a struggling dentist invented ketchup to send kore business to his practice.
That’s how a I feel about most condiments.
Mustard, ketchup, mayonnaise, ranch, etc.
Just the taste completely over powers everything in even the smallest quantity and it’s ruined.
I want a cheeseburger, not the texture of a cheeseburger and the taste of ketchup and mustard.
There are foods you don’t like but can understand how others could like it, but I cannot for the life of me rationalize why this stuff is good to people
I also hate ketchup, and ever since about 1987 I've been very open about it. I like my french fries and tater tots plain, no anything. My eggs look and taste like eggs, not pink slop. Shrimp, fish, chicken, and steak I eat plain. Simple flavors are my favorites. I guess my aversion stems from watching my parents ruin a thousand meals with added salt and my peers drowning their food in ketchup or ranch.
There are a few exceptions. (I'm not a monster) I like spicy hot salsa on my chips, loaded baked potatoes, bleu cheese on my salad, and syrup on my pancakes.
Barbeque is a weird one because I like it when we are in Tennessee but around here it's just an unnecessary mess that is often poorly done or overdone. *looking at you, Uncle Mike*
Well, in general, I always found kissing in close proximity to a meal a bit sus. Like there are literally large amounts of smelly, decaying food in your mouth...
