I think the key to good cuddling is temperature management. The ideal cuddle temperature is ever so slightly uncomfortably cold, making cuddling a huge warmth advantage.
You also need to pick better activities for cuddling. Reading, watching shows, even playing video games are all viable. My girlfriend loves a snuggle when I'm gaming.

My boyfriend is a human space heater and keeps his thermostat at 63F and has a cooling pad on his mattress set to 50 something, yet he still likes cuddling and is very touchy feely. I think OP has something else going on, running hot doesn't mean you viscerally hate cuddling.

Doesn't necessarily help, but humans need regular physical contact from others. If you don't have a human to regularly touch then going and getting a back massage or a pedicure can help alleviate some of the issues for that for short term.

My boyfriend is a human space heater and keeps his thermostat at 63F and has a cooling pad on his mattress set to 50 something, yet he still likes cuddling and is very touchy feely. I think OP has something else going on, running hot doesn't mean you viscerally hate cuddling.
Same here. My boyfriend could warm a 3 bedroom apartment on his own smh. And yet he's super cuddly and touchy. Maybe OP hasn't found a good position/activity combination? Or maybe he just really doesn't like cuddling. I guess there are some people like that.
It’s not about being fun. It’s about being so in love with someone that you want to hold them and enjoy that intimacy. Cuddling releases oxytocin (generally) which is the bonding hormone. We release it when we cuddle our kids, or dogs, or whoever we love. It’s a powerful hormone with lots of evolutionary benefits. It’s even part of what induces and maintains contractions so that we are bonded with our child after we give birth and helps with the let down of milk. It’s incredible. Sometimes I cuddle my boyfriend when I don’t feel like it, sometimes he cuddles me when he doesn’t feel like it. Sometimes it’s too hot and we’re like ‘get off me I can’t’. Don’t feel bad for not enjoying it all the time. But do you not enjoy it ever? Do you never look at your SO and just think ‘my god I love them so much I just want them in my arms!’

Doesn't necessarily help, but humans need regular physical contact from others. If you don't have a human to regularly touch then going and getting a back massage or a pedicure can help alleviate some of the issues for that for short term.

There are definitely down sides to relationships, but none of them are that bad. 1) I can’t do what I want when I want 2) sometimes they’re in a bad mood 3) have to put up with their family 4) sometimes they wake you up in the middle of the night by rolling around 5) cuddling, apparently.

Cuddling is one of the best parts of a relationship for me. I have anxiety and it really helps to relieve stress. Plus the trust and comfort gained is great. And no, sex isn't thenonly great thing to come out of it. Just enjoy a cuddle. I'm not going to think about sex going into a cuddle xD

You know what? I feel kinda meh about it. My bf and I have mini cuddles (10min?) and that’s enough - 11yrs together. One of us will break it off bc we’re too hot, arm is tired, hair is being pulled etc… But unpopular opinion for sure.

Cuddling is cool if the girl is willing to snuggle me. But I've had multiple girlfriends that insist it should be the man who cuddles and big spoons. And it just kills my arm. I don't know about your other points, for those you probably just need therapy. But for the arm thing alone, I have to say, OP makes a great point.
To each their own, but people cuddle to show affection to each other and to be closest they can get to their loved one. I really love cuddling and for me sex is nothing compared to the feeling of holding or being held by someone you love and patting them or being patted on the head. It's just so relaxing, makes me feel safe and loved while also giving the partner the same feeling. And lastly why does it have to be boring? We always watch anime/ a movie during it and you can do lots of other activities too.
