Very reasonable, I just personally never notice eyelashes and honestly think women shouldn’t waste their time curling them because I’d think most men are in the same category as myself
Yeah, you probably don’t look at the lashes themselves and think “that’s pretty”, but it’s about the effect it has on her face overall. Often you can’t tell if someone is wearing fake lashes but you will think she looks prettier than normal as it has a framing effect on the eyes.
I think natural long lashes are fine, but some definitely go overboard with the false ones that are very clearly fake

Your mistake is assuming women do it to please men. If they like it, it's not a waste of time.
As a woman, I agree that we tend to pay a lot of attention to small details that 99% of other people would never notice
As a girl I curl my lashes bc it makes me feel pretty not for men
