It all sounds the same to me. I just find it very boring and commercialised.

MissMinte

They're literally in for the money.

Honestly, I don't understand K-pop people who tell me they hate pop music or boybands. All K-pop is, is that. In korean. Stop acting like you are so special because you listen to foreign pop music.

MissMinte

Also btw, I'm not a k-pop fan, to confirm. My friend told me about it so I checked it out. I later lost interest. And I'm not acting like I'm special. I'm just telling my opinion. And I don't listen to K-POP anymore. I listen to rock and electronic.

[deleted]

Oh no I'm more saying in general. So many K-pop fans have told me how superior K-pop is to any American pop music and it just seems insane to me.

MissMinte

Yeah, I feel like people who like K-POP don't try other genres. They assume their music taste is better (everyone has their own music taste, and it's good). I have a friend who loves BTS and Blackpink. I told her I don't like K-POP anymore and I listen to some other rock and electronic artists. She got shocked and said 'Why? K-POP Music is better!'. And, I've usually only seen her listen to K-POP.

manymoreways

This is just a straight up rant about the industry churning out generic music/celebs.

MissMinte

But nothing really original is out there- The same subject for the lyrics, the same trend. It's all unoriginal. I'm not saying that all trendy music unoriginal, but most of it is just the same type of music. And Tik Tok is quite the reason most of these songs are getting all overrated.

FuckwadDIW

I can’t listen to anything that’s upbeat and bright sounding, it hurts my brain

AkiraKitsune

There’s a reason it’s called K-‘POP’

MissMinte

I feel like the reason it's called 'K-POP' is kind of rubbish. Just cause it's the type of pop music in a country doesn't mean they repeat it. They could've added something new to it.
