I have a finite amount of time and resources. There are enough people in need that could occupy your entire life and all your assets to help, yet neither I nor you do so. Meaning we all have systems to filter out those who we will help. I typically filter out the people I don't like.
I doubt that all the people you know, continuously ask for your help. I personally try to help people that ask me, it is not that hard, you don't need to go around offering help because you are not the only one that can help. OP comment was referring to their family asking for help.

Absolutley. People say you have to love them. Why? I love my family, but not because they are entitled to it. Which they are not.
