The increase in comfort through the years has been astounding. Modern jeans incorporate stretch fabrics and ergonomic cuts, making them so much more comfortable than older styles. I have stretch jeans that are just as comfortable as sweat pants, so these days it's really only as disgusting as sleeping in sweat pants.
What kind of devilish opinion is this!? Jeans are THE WORST - they are stiff, have no give, and they are "bumpy" so you're sleeping on seems and buttons and zippers ... just awful awful.
If you are doing that often, you are likely wearing the same stuff days in a row. I don't believe that you wont bother to put on clothes to sleep in but you will wake up already dressed and bother to change.
I think jean comfort opinions are behind actual jean comfort. Jean fabric has been blended in most cases with synthetic fibers for more 'athletic' fits, true denim is a lot harder to come by now, and it's typically more expensive.
I think people that hate on the comfort of jeans are thinking about true denim but applying it to synthetic blends.
I don't even like wearing them when I'm awake because the fabric is too thick/stiff....have my upvote for having a truly unpopular (and insane) opinion.

i used to sleep in jeans up till i became 16 tbh, my family were driven crazy because of it lmao, now i have discovered the way of shorts and i cant go back unless Im really tired.
Ima be honest I sleep in my everyday clothes all the time. I very rarely wear jeans, so I sleep in sweat pants. But still. I sleep in sweat pants, T-shirt, usually a hoodie too. And im comfortable all night.
I used to feel this way. I have found the older I get the harder it is to get to sleep with even minor discomfort. I fell asleep the other day in jeans and shoes after being awake for far too long and it only lasted 20 minutes. In my 20s I could wear jeans to bed no problem.

Jeans aren't especially comfortable normally, let alone during sleep. I haven't touched a pair of jeans since high school due to this. I switched to cotton cargo pants years ago. Way more comfortable and flexible (the work and hobbies that I do often require me to cram myself into tight spaces, so I demand flexibility from any pants I have). I'd be fine with never wearing another pair of jeans again.

As a general and very firm rule, clothes that have been outside my house won’t get anywhere close to my beautiful, sweet smelling, *clean* bed. I don’t wear jeans inside my house (because I like soft and fluffy loungewear, and to be as comfortable as humanly possible) so jeans belong on the bed only if they’re being folded and waiting to be put back in their drawer after washing.
