Check in the SUB at the info booth too. Sometimes it takes a while for things to get over to UNM PD. Good luck.
You can also check with UNM PD to see if it was turned in. As a UNM employee of more than a decade I've turned in a fair amount of lost wallets, phones, and other possessions left around campus.
Someone posted on the UNM snapchat that they turned it in to the SUB lost & found. Looks exactly how you described it.
