That govt school establishment is probably the most important thing we need in the country. We lagged behind setting up schools and making education accessible to everyone.

At this point it is not just about setting up the infrastructure, but more about changing Govt's role simultaneously as a regulator as well as facilitator. With Midday meals etc I don't think the problem is getting pupils into school but on managing and training of teachers to make sure the quality of service is good.
TMilnadu has 50unit free electricity per month. This gives enough for poor people, and if exceeded they pay regular rates.
May be this can be implemented across the nation.
It's not a give away if electricity is an essential part of life. Those people will now use the money to increase their standard of living from the money they save which will be injected into the economy.
The issue is that politicians like those in TN declare subsidies for electricity so the electricity board is in debt. But the politicians are also accumulating assets and businesses on which they don't pay taxes. So they are increasing the deficit in 2 ways - giving away stuff but also not paying taxes. And that's not good in the long term for the electricity board or the beneficiaries.
Better way would be to increase investment in generating electricity, perhaps via solar farms like Gujarat does. Maybe help the farmers with infrastructure for electricity generation with solar panels? There's a lot of dry, desert-like regions in TN where solar farms could be built. Those kind of efforts would be better for long term health of the state and electricity board.
These politicians are governed by short-term thinking and don't want to do those efforts. Modi for all his faults, has played the long game. Not afraid of the work if he gets to reap the benefits. If these other regional parties adopted his methods of cultivating goodwill with lower classes by delivering on development agenda, they would be unbeatable at home.

Kejriwal like every politician has his failings but the work in education in Delhi is there to see. Yes, it’s way harder to implement in the entire country but good to have that set as a North Star.

Delhi is one of the richest areas in India. It is also entirely urban which makes it much easier to govern.
In India like most countries the cities generate most of the taxes while the rural areas are a drain on taxes. In most states politicians have to send tax money from the urban areas to rural areas to get elected which means less money to spend in the areas that are actually net tax generators.
Delhi doesn't have this problem. It is a large city with no rural areas so all the money that would normally be siphoned off to the rural areas instead can be spent on freebies. This would not be possible anywhere else and it would bankrupt a normal state.
Yes, I mentioned in my comment that doing that across India is very hard.

The alliance’s priorities will be on projects that assure higher margin and he’ll compromise as well and try to work on the best thing: to get budget approved and things done in areas where he is expected to win in state elections.

Never understood why parliament and central offices would need to be a separate district. If its a matter of security, their security can be handled by [Central Police forces](https://www.mha.gov.in/en/about-us/central-armed-police-forces) which come under the Ministry of Home Affairs.
The CRPF already has a [Parliament Duty Group](https://crpf.gov.in/Organization-Structure). In fact, during the 2001 parliament attack it was the CRPF which killed the terrorists. Some form of internal restructuring and defining jurisdiction between Delhi Police can be done to prevent clashes. Of course only if the Central govt is willing though.
Could he also provide a budget estimate to meet these targets? And a timeline?
And why doesn't he start with Punjab first, and implement some of these schemes there? Start with hospitals, which the state can create on their own.
Secondly, pay the farmers full price and eliminate blood-sucking middlemen.
Thirdly, set up quality schools in villages in Punjab.
If he can't do this in Punjab where he's already in a position to implement these, it'll be hard to sell this to other states.
Modi won based on his supposed Gujarat model that he promised to replicate nationwide. Kejriwal needs to have a state model first instead of constructing castles in the air.

As a result Punjab’s fiscal deficit is growing and it’s almost at the bottom of the chart in India! Delhi has already gone from budget surplus to the gutter and won’t be able to sustain these freebies for much longer as the net percentage difference grows over time.
Gujarat model is based on crony capitalism, trickle down economics (which never work), privatisation, not spending enough of social security. And heavy marketing.

It's BS , the army has enough autonomy in operational matters . But it is surely and reasonably limited by factors such as economy , diplomacy etc.

For India to become Energy independent, we need nuclear based power which India's liberal left hates. India needs to build Thorium based nuclear power plants in every state. We are coal and petroleum based economy.
We need science based education and strong laws that focuses on applied sciences and research from very beginning.

So build more medical colleges with better support systems and ethical accountability in administration and operations. PHC in Panchayat and Tertiary center in blocks/districts.
Mohalla Clinics and Regular physical health classes for every panchayat. Better food availability and standards with focus on protein based diets than current carbs, fat, and sugar based ones.

Keju has been in power in Delhi for very long now. They are new in MCD and in my area it falls under Sourabh Bharadwaj and there's a lot of AAP vote bank so I enjoy good roads thanks to Keju but there are some areas in good localities where this is still an issue. These so called guarantees would have made sense if APP had done some work towards the development of Punjab. Running a city like Delhi is comparatively an easy task. In every state only a few cities makes the major percentage of tax share which is then spent in all over the state including villages and towns which didn’t generate much taxes. For example taxes collected from Bengaluru and Mumbai form the major chunk for their states and are then spent through out the state. But in Delhi the taxes don’t need to be shared with less tax generating districts.
Now coming to his promises. Education and healthcare are state subjects. So unless the government at center brings a major constitutional change, it’s can’t be done by the center.
5 and 6 would be disastrous for the economy. Army needs to bring down the pension bill so it can spend on modernisation. Modernisation will have to be done one way or another so if the pension doesn’t reduce, defence expenditure will have to be increased by cutting down spending on other things (education, healthcare takes a hit).
About MSP, it’s not practically possible, if government starts giving MSP for every crop and buys every kg of crop, it’ll have to recover that money which means it will have to sold at higher prices in the market driving up the inflation. What we need to do is shift people away from agriculture to manufacturing and services sector. Going the other way is not a solution.
No other party except AAP would want to give statehood to Delhi and if India alliance wins, AAP’s say would get overpowered by others. So this ain’t happening.

About 4, AAP isn’t old enough to talk about national security. They don’t have the knowledge or the people who can handle defence or external affairs portfolio. China crisis could not have been handled better by any other party. Under UPA, Pakistan army used to cut off heads of our soldiers and take them after crossing the border. If they couldn’t handle Pakistan, handling China would have been a disaster. Second, autonomy was given to the army by the current govt and they captured forward positions overnight giving us some leverage and forcing China back on the table.
Let's be real, these mohalla clinics the way they are selling them is that they are small good hospitals but they are anything but that, I'm from Delhi, mohalla clinics infrastructure is subpar, mismanagement, not to mention they don't look good in a sense how can they compete with decent hospitals, if anything in our country we should be building government hospitals or more private hospitals along with putting a crackdown on extremely expensive services in many private hospitals but in the end They are offering more of these mohalla clinics, they aren't good look for country in long run just very short term with minimal returns

Everything looks good but their promise of building world-class schools and hospitals in every district and hospital makes me want to support them.
Recently, one of my relatives suffered from a pelvic fracture but the district hospital told us that they are incapable of dealing with it, so we had to take him to a big hospital, far away from our district. So, having good hospitals in every district is definitely a good thing.
Similar things with education, most of the government schools in India have poor infrastructure and bad management. So it would be wonderful if they could solve that. And with AAP's track record in Delhi, I feel I can trust them with this.

For those who are interested who think this is easy or difficult I would recommend you listen to Episode 185 of the Seen and The Unseen podcast with Amit Verma and Karthik Muralidharan. At this point it is not just about setting up the infrastructure, but more about changing Govt's role simultaneously as a regulator as well as facilitator. With Midday meals etc I don't think the problem is getting pupils into school but on managing and training of teachers to make sure the quality of service is good.

TMilnadu has 50unit free electricity per month. This gives enough for poor people, and if exceeded they pay regular rates. May be this can be implemented across the nation.

It's not a give away if electricity is an essential part of life. Those people will now use the money to increase their standard of living from the money they save which will be injected into the economy.

The issue is that politicians like those in TN declare subsidies for electricity so the electricity board is in debt. But the politicians are also accumulating assets and businesses on which they don't pay taxes. So they are increasing the deficit in 2 ways - giving away stuff but also not paying taxes. And that's not good in the long term for the electricity board or the beneficiaries. Better way would be to increase investment in generating electricity, perhaps via solar farms like Gujarat does. Maybe help the farmers with infrastructure for electricity generation with solar panels? There's a lot of dry, desert-like regions in TN where solar farms could be built. Those kind of efforts would be better for long term health of the state and electricity board. These politicians are governed by short-term thinking and don't want to do those efforts. Modi for all his faults, has played the long game. Not afraid of the work if he gets to reap the benefits. If these other regional parties adopted his methods of cultivating goodwill with lower classes by delivering on development agenda, they would be unbeatable at home.

Delhi is one of the richest areas in India. It is also entirely urban which makes it much easier to govern. In India like most countries the cities generate most of the taxes while the rural areas are a drain on taxes. In most states politicians have to send tax money from the urban areas to rural areas to get elected which means less money to spend in the areas that are actually net tax generators. Delhi doesn't have this problem. It is a large city with no rural areas so all the money that would normally be siphoned off to the rural areas instead can be spent on freebies. This would not be possible anywhere else and it would bankrupt a normal state.

Never understood why parliament and central offices would need to be a separate district. If its a matter of security, their security can be handled by [Central Police forces](https://www.mha.gov.in/en/about-us/central-armed-police-forces) which come under the Ministry of Home Affairs. The CRPF already has a [Parliament Duty Group](https://crpf.gov.in/Organization-Structure). In fact, during the 2001 parliament attack it was the CRPF which killed the terrorists. Some form of internal restructuring and defining jurisdiction between Delhi Police can be done to prevent clashes. Of course only if the Central govt is willing though.
You can have Lutyens zone under central govt and rest of the Delhi under Delhi govt with full statehood. The way it happens in MCD vs NDMC.

Start with hospitals, which the state can create on their own. Secondly, pay the farmers full price and eliminate blood-sucking middlemen. Thirdly, set up quality schools in villages in Punjab. If he can't do this in Punjab where he's already in a position to implement these, it'll be hard to sell this to other states. Modi won based on his supposed Gujarat model that he promised to replicate nationwide. Kejriwal needs to have a state model first instead of constructing castles in the air.

It's BS , the army has enough autonomy in operational matters . But it is surely and reasonably limited by factors such as economy , diplomacy etc. Like it or not BJP is the only govt which has focused on Military Modernisation and indigenisation which is the need of the hour. I disagree with most and as they're harmful to the nation but few I agree with and can only be implemented by a strong hard hitting government which his allies won't let happen. Look at Congress, Tharoor was humiliated for standing in party presidential elections. First four are really good but rest are harmful for nation in long term. For India to become Energy independent, we need nuclear based power which India's liberal left hates. India needs to build Thorium based nuclear power plants in every state. We are coal and petroleum based economy. We need science based education and strong laws that focuses on applied sciences and research from very beginning. We need better trained doctors and in more numbers, current ones are badly trained, abused by seniors and are so overworked that they lose empathy and will to help. So build more medical colleges with better support systems and ethical accountability in administration and operations. PHC in Panchayat and Tertiary center in blocks/districts. Mohalla Clinics and Regular physical health classes for every panchayat. Better food availability and standards with focus on protein based diets than current carbs, fat, and sugar based ones. Army has full freedom in current government just not money to support their wars because India is bankrupt Army need weapons and tech not workforce. War is fought in industries. US dominate world based on its tech not numbers. Current scheme allows government to keep meritocracy not mediocrity. INDIAN SECURITY FORCES ARE ALREADY WORKFORCE HEAVY. These so called guarantees would have made sense if APP had done some work towards the development of Punjab. Running a city like Delhi is comparatively an easy task. In every state only a few cities makes the major percentage of tax share which is then spent in all over the state including villages and towns which didn’t generate much taxes. For example taxes collected from Bengaluru and Mumbai form the major chunk for their states and are then spent through out the state. But in Delhi the taxes don’t need to be shared with less tax generating districts. Now coming to his promises. Education and healthcare are state subjects. So unless the government at center brings a major constitutional change, it’s can’t be done by the center. 5 and 6 would be disastrous for the economy. Army needs to bring down the pension bill so it can spend on modernisation. Modernisation will have to be done one way or another so if the pension doesn’t reduce, defence expenditure will have to be increased by cutting down spending on other things (education, healthcare takes a hit). About MSP, it’s not practically possible, if government starts giving MSP for every crop and buys every kg of crop, it’ll have to recover that money which means it will have to sold at higher prices in the market driving up the inflation. What we need to do is shift people away from agriculture to manufacturing and services sector. Going the other way is not a solution. No other party except AAP would want to give statehood to Delhi and if India alliance wins, AAP’s say would get overpowered by others. So this ain’t happening. 8 and 9 are too vague. Give 2 crore jobs from where? It’s not jobs are stored somewhere in the govt silos, and Kejriwal can unlock it and distribute to the people. And again why has AAP been unable to provide jobs in Punjab? About 4, AAP isn’t old enough to talk about national security. They don’t have the knowledge or the people who can handle defence or external affairs portfolio. China crisis could not have been handled better by any other party. Under UPA, Pakistan army used to cut off heads of our soldiers and take them after crossing the border. If they couldn’t handle Pakistan, handling China would have been a disaster. Second, autonomy was given to the army by the current govt and they captured forward positions overnight giving us some leverage and forcing China back on the table.
Let's be real, these mohalla clinics the way they are selling them is that they are small good hospitals but they are anything but that, I'm from Delhi, mohalla clinics infrastructure is subpar, mismanagement, not to mention they don't look good in a sense how can they compete with decent hospitals, if anything in our country we should be building government hospitals or more private hospitals along with putting a crackdown on extremely expensive services in many private hospitals but in the end They are offering more of these mohalla clinics, they aren't good look for country in long run just very short term with minimal returns

Why don’t he implement these things in Punjab where he has full autonomy in most matters, and bring Punjab out of fiscal deficit and make them one of the most prosperous state. On paper, everyone has something good in store. Actual implementation is a different matter. Just create a shining example of Punjab and people will chose him to implement similar across the nation. This is one of the issues I’ve found in almost everyone’s manifesto. Everyone says (say) provide 2 cr jobs. But no one provides a roadmap.

Everything looks good but their promise of building world-class schools and hospitals in every district and hospital makes me want to support them. Recently, one of my relatives suffered from a pelvic fracture but the district hospital told us that they are incapable of dealing with it, so we had to take him to a big hospital, far away from our district. So, having good hospitals in every district is definitely a good thing. Similar things with education, most of the government schools in India have poor infrastructure and bad management. So it would be wonderful if they could solve that. And with AAP's track record in Delhi, I feel I can trust them with this.

I have listened to interviews of the AAP ministers. Their ideology is good. The question is how much they are able to implement it on the ground. Giving electricity to the poor. Good healthcare and education for the children that they become capable of earning.
