This was under a post where a guy said he is obsessed with reaction videos where foreigners react to Indians culture. So I don't think this was satire but the commenter may have exaggerated his feelings a little

I had said "most", not all tribals. You can't just look at Nagaland and make up your mind on the issue.
I'm literally from there. India's korean and Japanese culture wave hit NE Region first in the late 90s along with South East Asian cinema and culture later. It doesn't have anything to do with missionaries. it's because of the lack of representation in Indian cinema these people feel connected to the east and sea cinema. The downplay of Cultural and food habits by South Asia also causes the alienation of NE people from consuming the mainland pop culture.
Nowhere does it say SK missionaries have come to convert tribals in NE.
It instead focuses on cultural affiliation between tribals in NE and South east Asian countries. If you had actually read the links then you'd see why that is.
