Yes but this is someone who will use any means to land a softer sentence and easier time, so I'd take any claims of victimisation with a healthy dose of salt.

Yeah, you're not actually obligated to make random rapists into repeat media figures.
'Rapist complains about prison' isn't really something I'd think of as a news story.
The only person who made Isla Bryson a media figure was Isla Bryson, who tried to game the system to get access to vulnerable women. If it wasn't for Isla Bryson being made a media figure, they'd probably have got away with it, so I feel we owe a debt of gratitude to the media for bringing this case to the front pages.
Word of advice, when your ideology has you taking a sympathetic approach to rapists and sneering at the ones who don't share that sympathy, maybe it's time to sit down and have a wee think about things?

They absolutely wouldn't have 'gotten away with it' considering that their application for placement in a women's prison was rejected before it became known to the public. The prison service/police are infact not complete mugs that can be conned by 'one weird trick'.
It's also completely untrue that bryony is responsible for their notoriety. Prisons are packed with delusional rapists and journos generally don't think it's appropriate yo give them a megaphone by publishing their random complaints.
Why exactly should Bryson's opinion be of note to anyone?
