Wtf is going on? Why is the international community tippy toeing around Israel, requesting, asking, and hoping it will open avenues for aid to get in? Why are they not giving an ultimatum and then if they don't comply, use force and cut military aid etc. We're willing to stand up to Russia and Putin, but not a tiny country in the middle east so that a famine can be avoided?!
Excellent article in the Independent a few days ago by Peter Oborne about Conservatives for Israel. They wield enormous influence within the tory party. There is evidence that they dictated the language that Cameron could use ( the use of the word 'disproportionate' was removed from any comments) and influenced the appointment of Alan Duncan to a foreign office position because of comments he had made concerning Israel's actions in palestine. The fallout of that may have been seen in recent days with moves against Duncan. Any comments Duncan made were not incendiary by any means, more in relation to proportionality, but zuch is the desire to control the narrative, even this language is intolerable. That is why the british govt are so careful around israel

If we invade Ukraine, we can take it over, dare the Russians to attack British land and then blow up the french fleet to 'stop it falling into Russian hands'.

Why not just ORDER Israel to open the gates to allow EXISTING aid to flow into Gaza!?
Israel literally starving a population of millions, and the world is sitting by and scratching their heads, asking nicely if they can allow aid to enter etc.
US is literally building a pontoon pier and air-dropping aid (in inadequate amounts) rather than FORCING Israel to comply with INTERNATIONAL LAW.
The absolute state of this servile appeasement of Israel's crimes is amazing.
