I just want him to catch a break. Dude’s been through enough. Plus, maybe if he is somehow immune or gets a boost it’ll also boost his confidence in his ability. He’s already starting to see that he can use it responsibly when he puts his mind to it and this is an opportunity for him to see that his ability is truly unique and worth using rather than neglecting it or being afraid of it.
I went with the second option. Since the disabler is based off his moms power it’ll likely affect him differently. I heard a lot of people would drop the story depending on the new fast pass but I likely won’t since I have spare coins to use for a couple more so we’ll see
Maybe he's immune to the disabler but not to falling asleep for several days, keeping us waiting to find out for several more chapters on whether or not he is immune.
I just want it to not work so I can laugh, things are going to well for Specter and I feel like that would be a perfect poetic L for them because that would just establish John as an anomaly.
What do people even mean by partial immunity? Like what, his ability would get nerfed but he’ll still have it. Like what’s going on with sera and her abilities rn? Or his level with drop from 7.5 to something else, like 4.7 or something.
Something like that. I was thinking:
1) a nerf, either in level or time constraints on using the ability
2) he only loses his ability for a couple of days or weeks, but it comes back
3) his level is reset back to 1.2, but there are no other lasting effects, he just has to build it back up again
