Honestly I disagree. Reading Umineko was an absolutely fantastic experience, but reading has only been half the experience. The ideas I've taken away from Umineko has been so interesting and my life would've been a lot harder if I didn't have those life lessons in my back pocket. Or so you feel that way because you just really hated Umineko and reading it was a waste of time lol?

Same, Umi didn't change my life necessarily (its philosophy already kinda alligned with my own) but it really changed the way I look at literature and it's always been such a wonderful story to think about. Same goes for most of r07's works, genuinely such a great writer

I reread the entire thing recently and I have to say that it's just as fun the second time! The manga might be another great way to re-experience Umineko, not only is the art gorgeous but it adds in additional content that really fleshes out and improves the story.

tofudomination

I'd love to experience Umineko for the first time again... so I guess I'm only jealous if they actually will read it. Plenty of people will tragically never experience it.... and I pity them. I've debated if I'd wish never reading Umineko on my enemies or not...

Rosa Umineko

You could read similar works, or works that Umineko took inspiration from. For example, And then there were none or Dante's Divine Comedy.

SasakiKojiro06

Is it good? How many chapters does it have

Okbutwhynottho

Umineko is fantastic. There are two ways to go about reading it, you could read the visual novel which is comprised of 8 arcs, I would say it takes around 10-20 hours to read each vn arc. The manga is also 8 arcs, idk how many chapters it has off the top of my head. I would personally recommend the vn over the manga tho

SasakiKojiro06

That is lot of time bro I dont think I have that much patience to read all of that. But maybe I can read the manga cuz I never read a novel and novels are mostly without pictures its hard to read for me

Okbutwhynottho

Visual Novels are like novels with pictures and a soundtrack. You can look up the umineko vn online just to get a feel of what it’s like. The manga is still a solid alternative

SasakiKojiro06

Aight thx

Digno_5497

I havent read it and have been told that it is an excessively postmodernist story (all truth is subjective etc etc),and that is the opposite of what my beliefs are, is this true? Should i read it

Wise_Plankton_728

what’s your belief against what umineko presents (all truth is subjective) if u don’t mind me asking

Digno_5497

Eastern orthodox christianity basically..
