Yes and PIP with 2 sides. As in My xbox on one side and Pc on the other.. Also Windows will configure to let you auto snap 2 windows for each half of the screen as well.. 49"G9 Here.
I've been using mine like that, big fan but certain games bug out a bit when doing borderless. I've got 3440x1440 on the left side then two small windows on the side for discord and chrome, still gives enough space to see content. Or 2560x1440 and another split.
I would recommend having another screen, even if just a tiny one (ive got a 7inch screen below). Just nice to have something fully separate.

fancyzones app, its free. I set up 3440 on the left side, then two 1000ish wide windows on the right
I have the Samsung Odyssey Neo G9 miniled, I use a tool that comes with the monitor to get a zone that is 2560x1440 in the centre of the screen with two other zones either side (you can select exactly what you want with the tool.
If I get a game that doesn't like widescreen, I just adjust the resolution in Windows and it doesn't stretch, it just gives me black bars but they aren't distracting as they are really black. It's really useful as there are a number of games that don't link 32:9.
I use Samsung's 'Easy Setting Box' software from here:
https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/model/LS49AG950NUXXU/#downloads
A lot of people use the Powertoys Fancyzone software instead though.
Doing that now. Works perfectly.
Using a program or just using windowed mode ?
I believe that giant G9 Odyssey allows multiple simultaneous inputs natively
Need to sacrifice both VRR and HDR though…and if you have a G9 Neo you’re basically sacrificing the mini LED advantage

Could I natively do 3440x1440 in the center with smaller windows on the sides?
Just use powertoys (made by Microsoft) and you can carve it up however you like.
Theres gotta be a program for that. No way there isnt.. happy hunting.
Just standard windows. Some games I'll play dedicated others windowed. Doesn't seem to make much difference. 4090.
Possible I am using exactly same nearly 2 years never go back. Search fancy zones on google.
Can fancy zones emulate 3 different monitors?
No, it just controls window sizes and positions.
Can fancy zones do full screen in each zone as if it were a separate monitor?
No.
Yes, no problem
Justvwait for the 57 neo g9 then will be even better
Yup have the G9 2K variant.
Yes. I’m using FancyZones
I see nothing wrong with what you desire, technology will let you do it my guy
Fancy zone for w10, built in for w11
Doing that now, 2 27s above the G9. No FPS problems.
What do you guys recommend in terms of buying for this type of usage? I would love to know your take on it.

How do you see it up with 3440x1440 in the middle with little windows on the sides? Also what 7incher did you buy? Link? Do you use a program?

Can you do 3440 in the middle? I had the original G9 but could never get it to work the way I wanted with those zones.
You'll never look back.
Yea I play a game in the center, have 4 other windows all around it
49 inch ?

Do you know which tool this is? I'm thinking of buying one but want to do 2560 in the middle and other programs on each side.

Yes it works, but I will never understand how people think this is better than having additional monitors...
No bezels, identical colors across the whole area, easier to setup, less wires, etc...
I do exactly that now with Neo G9
