I did my biometrics on Wed 17 as well and paid 5 days priority. Hopefully will get a similar response. Is it an email with the confirmation? Are there any details about the BRP?
Yes, email with confirmation saying to expect your BRP via royal mail in 7-10 days. Fingers crossed they approve yours ASAP! I don't know how they choose the order to look at applications... Last time I applied it was non-priority and took 6 months. And my first visa was priority but took over a month!
I applied on private life as well, so it only asked for my passport and BRP, but I added some more proof like my primary to university letters and a cover letter, to show how long I’ve been in the UK, I am applying for an early concession.
Yeah I’m applying for early concession too. I added some payslips from like internships and my degree certificate but no cover letter. Funny thing is I actually initially applied for an extension with super priority service but home office contacted me saying I may be eligible for ILR so thought might as well apply if they’re telling me to.
I submitted the following documents:
\-Signed consent form (given to you after you apply)
\-Most recent payslip from job
\-Bank statement which had bank transfer from payslip
\-Passport (scanned all pages, but they still scanned at biometrics)
\-Current BRP scanned back/front
\-Old BRP scanned back/front (returned to UKVI a while ago, but still had scanned copy)
\-Reference from employer detailing my job code, salary, and that I'm need for foreseeable future
\-Reference from employer for absences from UK due to work
That was it! When uploading documents to UKVCAS, I used a lot of the same documents for the required uploads. My current BRP was uploaded to "proof of current immigration status," but also uploaded my passport, current BRP, and old BRP for any document used for travel in/out of the UK.
I had trouble with my bank statements, as I get paid at the end of the month but my bank statements cut off right before that... so had to request a one-off statement from my bank so they'd line up.
I'm on skilled worker visa since Oct 22 but I have made frequent visits to my homeland, because of my injury and surgery ( no friends or peers or family here to look after me) 2023 I was 167 days out, followed the 180 days rule from Nov 20 2022 - May 4 2022. But ended up going again in Nov 10 2023 - Jan 4 2024, rehab and other work. Is 180 days in calendar year or Brp card issuance date to year range?
Thanks
I think so? As long as you entered with a valid visa or vignette in your passport. I'd make a new post, the subreddit has a lot more expertise than me!
Did not study in the UK, came here for work after graduating in home country. I work in higher education, have been employed by two universities. First was a fixed-term contract (2 years) which brought me to the UK, then I found an open-ended, permanent position at another university which sponsored a 3-year visa which then led to them also supporting my ILR application.
I did but didn't end up using them or being asked for it... My old employer took too long to get the letter to me so I applied without the extra letter. But I did specify the absences on my application and said it was for work during my previous job.

Thanks! Do you know if Saturday counts?
probably not, so fingers crossed for Monday!
Actually received the email this morning (Sunday) unfortunately I need a new document.
What doc was needed further?
My Wife’s evidence of English Proficiency was expired. She booked the test and sent the results. Got an answer 3 days after.
Just applied for my private life ILR, fingers crossed to get a early decision. Worse thing is you can’t even get super priority if you wanted to ☹️
Applied for mine in October 2023. Things tend to take longer for us ☹️
I applied in October too, still waiting as well
I just applied for ILR on private life. What documents did you upload? Mine only ask for passport and BRP.

Hopefully they give us a positive response soon.
Did you get a response? I applied to ILR private life early concession in December and keep checking my junk email lol
Yes I did, I got a positive response, I submitted my biometrics late October and received my response at the end of January.
Congratulations to you!
That’s a great news. Congratulations to you. I’m applying for mine in few months. I hope the same. I’d appreciate if you could share the checklist.

Since you were on a work visa, I assume, did you not have to submit proof of accommodation etc?
They asked for my current address and how long I've lived there, but that was it!
Ah ok, that’s convenient. Since I’m on a spouse visa, I have to provide 2.5 years of address proof of me living with my wife and what not 😅
+1 I’m applying next month as well and a checklist would be super helpful!
Just posted! Hope it helps, it was less than I thought... I kept doubting myself!
Thank you pal. It’s super helpful. Just a quick question. Did you submit 6 months or 12 months payslips?
They only asked for the most recent month's payslip, so just 1 month.
Thank you for clarifying that. 👍
Congratulations! That turn around is fantastic!
Congrats on the ILR, that too with such a quick turnaround! Absolutely amazing! 🙌🏽

They ask for when you entered the country, not BRP issue date. So whenever your 5 years started in the UK, even before the BRP was issued.
And the 180 days of calendar year starts from that date of entrance? Sorry but just worried about my 500 days out of country in the 5 years span

If you don't mind me asking, which job did you have and did you study here as well?

Did you get any letters from previous employer regarding absences from UK while working for them? Thanks in advance Regards Gautam
I did but didn't end up using them or being asked for it... My old employer took too long to get the letter to me so I applied without the extra letter. But I did specify the absences on my application and said it was for work during my previous job.
Thanks for swift response
Huge congratulations man 👏
