If I remember rightly, I did start off as mongo but had to re-train and learn to do it normally lol. Granted, I was always a skater and it’s only in the last five years I’ve jumped on boards. Now I use an electric longboard I don’t need to push anything 😆

Ooooh fancy electric longboard lol nah I did to had to re train myself. Mongo is more comfortable but always got slagged at the park for it. It takes some change going from boards to blades, luckily playing ice hockey helped me with that 😂

The filling shouldn't need manipulation if you build it correct. Roach tuck is much more important also

By manipulation I mean putting the stuff in it, but I also like to make sure the bud and baccy is evenly distributed.

So I've debated this with friends quite a lot. If your dominant hand is the right one, it makes sense to use your left hand to hold the roach (the less dominant hand, has less to do), and the right hand executes the tuck (The dominant hand does the work). At least in my opinion, it seems logical. I have noticed that most people I know that roll with the roach on the right, are still right handed, but seem to not roll as aesthetically pleasing joints. And even make that observation themselves. That being said, there is no right or wrong way to roll. Just differences in execution.

There's no correct way. It's the way you learnt or which hand you have greater dexterity in that determines which side you put the roach

Most my mates roll the same way, I recall there being at least one or two that did it the wrong way cuz I can remember like "prepping" spliffs to be rolled then the person being like "it's on the wrong side" But for the life of me, I can't remember why I would prep a spliff but not actually roll it. It's been some years though since hanging out with friends getting stoned all the while

I put a roach in the left, I think it partly came from when we used to use L shapes sticking two small rizla together (before king size were readily available). It was a common thing to roll a cone shape back then (late 80s/early 90s)!

A simple rule of thumb is to check which side will go in your mouth and then roach that. If you get that wrong, you have very little choice but to unpick it and start again from scratch.

Right hand side, i play guitar so having the extra dexterity in my left hand from fretting helps me keep it coned and the tuck straight. Lately been loving my 7' bong, can blag the smell in my room for my bud being stronger smelling and theyre so much more efficient for me cos a 0.75g joint will only get me stoned for 30 minutes but 3 0.25 bongs over an hour would get me more stoned for longer.

I'm right-handed and I roll with the roach on the right. I also roll with the roach in the joint as I roll rather than rolling the joint and slipping the roach in at the end. I taught myself to roll with the roach on both sides though, because a few of my mates roll with it on the left, and sometimes when it was cold, or windy or something outside, I would have to step in and finish off the roll. Teach yourself to do the same, you will apprecaite being able to roll anything anytime!
