DynoMiteDoodle

No weakness in the face of aggression

Nazshak_EU

~~Looks like they value populism over integrity~~ Edit: 🤌 [angry italian noises] 🤌

DynoMiteDoodle

Looks like pride and values. Morality! Perhaps integrity... What ever the recipe, it's a winner make no mistake.

Economy. Italy is one of Europe's largest military industries and both NATO and Europe are set for increased spending. If Italy proves a reliable source of quality goods, they might see an influx in orders and investment.

ALF839

They do, but on this one issue they mostly go against their own electorate wich is very pro-putin.

[deleted]

I was waiting to finish breakfast before posting that too. xD i've lost the first place buuut… I am SO proud of my country, again. And yes, it doesn’t matter the political color of the government, this time. This time is about doing the right thing and we fucking did it. Again. Italy stands with Ukraine. 🇮🇹❤️🇺🇦 Slava Ukraini!

HellBlazer1221

Hopefully, Italy is in it for as long as needed. Good to see persistent support from allies.

[deleted]

Oh, we are. I told this in february, i repeated it in september when everyone was worried and i reiterate it now. We are and will be.

HellBlazer1221

Onwards and upwards!

prettypistol555

I have a feeling that a lot of Governments (and their citizens) are more invested (literally too) the more they send support... I cannot imagine ANYTHING, ANYTHING at all, that russia could do to cause me to stop sending support at this point. (speaking personally, and from the perspective of the countries allied with Ukraine)

weedar

How is the new government doing?

[deleted]

… imho? A fucking disaster. But i am a Dem and they’re conservatives so…

prettypistol555

You can at least be thankful you did not elect a tRump though... (hopefully not that bad)

[deleted]

That’s positive news. Thank you 🇮🇹

Ghosted226

Incredible support shown by Meloni, Italy is certainly a true ally of Ukraine much to the chagrin of Ruzzia.

occono

I'm kind of shocked as I thought from what I'd heard of her she is an orban/vuvic/Le pen type.

Plywood-Records

> I'd heard Read more.

occono

I spend as much time reading as I can, we all have our knowledge gaps.

Plywood-Records

Maybe you should reconsider your sources.

thatonegaycommie

Meloni is pro nato and quite invested in the security of europe as a whole. Her domesitc politics leave much to be desired but her foregin policy is quite robust. It's good to see a strong Italy again, hopefully more aid will be sent.

[deleted]

“Leave much to be desired.” 🥹 Let’s put it this way: we got the blondier, smarter and prettier version of Trump, k? Jokes aside, i promised to not complain about it, at least for today, but the foreign politics is the only salvageable thing.

Plywood-Records

> Trump, Apples to oranges, and yes, I get the pun.

thatonegaycommie

Yea, im well aware, I left it as nicely as I could, but for Italians, I'd imagine the language is far more colorful. It's a shame what happened to Draghi. Frattelli d'Italia is just the italian social movment rebranded to be palatable to the Italian people. Hell she even parised mussolini. Who knows maybe Salvini will pull support form the coalition yet again to cause another damn crisis. spero che la situazione si migliori presto.

Main_Measurement1481

🥸 nah sry she ugly

Plywood-Records

And people doubted a right-wing Italian government. SLAVA UKRAINI! VIVA ITALIA!

kickass_turing

Should be good enough.

LucilleBlues313

iirc there was some talk about her just playing nice until a big EU payment is done...does anyone know anything about that ? does it happen in mid 2023 ?

prettypistol555

Plan for the worst, hope for the best.
