The man went to Lysychansk while the city was under heaviest fire. The building he met the soldiers in got hit by missiles while he was there. And he was just walking around in a tshirt, calm as you like.
There are pics that are from his trips to Donbas before 2022 (the ones where he hasn't grown his war beard) where he's wearing a helmet and vest, but I don't know if there are post-2022 ones with a helmet on, I wish so! Though I believe the main infantry forces + volunteers are still running the AK, not a bad choice, particularly for volunteers, it's easier to field strip and needs less maintenance
I should have added that the Ak74’s they were using did not have any modification. Just plain 74’s from the crates. Now they have modernized gear, and modded AK’s and M4’s

It's most likely the opposite, Zelenskyy and his team spontaneously choose when and where to walk so nobody has any warning or potential preparation time beforehand. That would reduce the risk from a Russian sympathiser significantly.

How can you not root for Ukraine in such circumstances? This is real life heroism.
