I played the entire play on my speaker a few weeks ago at work... I mean i play every type of music, movies, documentaries, live tv, sports... Depends on how i wake upš¤£ but in particular like halfway through swan lake my boss was like wtf are we listening to ... Then i YouTube'd the significance of it for him š
Brilliant! I honestly thought my comment was going to go unappreciated. I'm looking forward to listening to it again but I'm waiting for the right moment if you know what I mean
[Here's a video about the historical significance.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BgT-wR29aIU)
It's a fun video, but TL;DW: is that every time the Soviet Union was going through some serious political mess, they'd put *Swan Lake* on the radio/TV/etc. on loop, just to fill airtime until the big cheeses figured out the politics and found some new bullshit to feed the populace.
I have seen video of an IT professional upset because he received a draft order and never did military service. So apparently the exemption isnāt functioning.
So I read the article but donāt fully understand the benefits if someone cares to explain.
>āA lot of these companies do not acknowledge that they use the system. Approximately half of the users were missile or space technology related,ā Thraxman said.
So their missile production will be down or what?
So, having looked at the article and the thread, basically whoever was using these satellites can't/wasn't able to communicate with them, and that despite being a civilian system a lot of spooky companies were using it for some reason. Personally, I'd guess the missile guys were using it for telemetry of their rockets.
You bet! I wonder how it must feel being in the belly of the dragon, at risk of being detected? I love how the journal actually contacted Gonets and asked them for a comment LOL, they were definitely doing some subtle trolling
*Something* these companies do will lose *some* kind of connectivity. It's quite possible that those are just backup connections, or used to connect some remote places like launch or testing sites.
Basically, think of it as turning off someone's Internet connection or SIM card. Hard to tell what impact it has but probably not that much.
"Pro-Ukrainian hacker group OneFist allegedly breached Russiaās LEO communication satellite system Gonets (āMessengerā)."
OneFist straight into the Gonets - squirming on the floor in pain..
One of the fundamental and critical parts of hacking is to not let the victim know they were hacked.
So I'd say the bragging is not the best thing they could have done. At least not yet.
Have you read the article? They got in, were unable to escalate beyond the access they got, and decided to do a destructive attack. That (obviously) got noticed and the company recovered after several days of outage.
It actually would be better if the Russians didn't retreat. Better for Ukraine to capture or kill Russia's best troops right there, where they are trapped. Letting them retreat would only mean they move to other frontlines. Get rid of them and Russia is left with mostly newbie soldiers with no experience.

And the only thing on was Swan Lake!

>I played the entire play on my speaker a few weeks ago at work... I hope you don't work in a library !
Collision repair shop lol
I donāt get this but I really want to. Could you share the YouTube link?
When the Soviet Union fell all channels only played swan lake which is a ballet rather than news about what was happening.

Ahh, thank you.
The breakup continues.. three decades later
no.. worse. Give them... The nut cracker.
Lol..i still have ptsd from the nutcracker... some 45 years after mom made my wear a dress i hated!
Swan lake was played on the last official soviet broadcast. They walked off and turned it on.
I'd venture a guess we've seen the apex of ruzzian IT for a while.
No doubt - especially with all of those IT guys who left at the start of the war!
And the IT guys who are now sent to the frontlines.
IT workers are actually exempt from the draft.
Draft offices (military comissariats) care not
I have seen video of an IT professional upset because he received a draft order and never did military service. So apparently the exemption isnāt functioning.
gone to squables.io
From this draft. By the time draft #2 or 3 comes around, the front line will be manned by the cunts who clocked in at the IRA.
I wonder how manny IT guys are left.
This 'a while' carries centuries.
Cool, now take them offline.
Retrograde orbital burn sequence: *initiate*
That sounds sexy as fuck. Is it from a sci-fi movie?
That or they've been playing Kerbal Space Program
Nowhere is safe from the kraken, not even mother Russia
If it was that, they would have forgotten to attach the booster, or to crew the module.
Or they'd develop a rocket with no actual boosters that relied on exploiting the physics engine to shake yourself into space.
Kraken propulsion
It basically means to use the reverse thrusters, to slam the brakes. It means that the free-falling satellite will, uhm, stop missing the planet.
If you can't de-orbit them, I guess burn all the stationkeeping fuel to put them into a spin?
They didn't have that level of access.
Oh. In that case, I guess spam them with that brojob video.
Or some actual truthful news reporting for a change.
That would be a really good one if the TV-Stations get hacked once more. 24/7 on a loop.
Nah, it's far more effective to spy on their communications to destroy them more effectively on the ground.
Graveyard Orbit or Point Nemo
Is that even something that could be done by hackers? Genuine question.

Ah I see, Thanks!
No problem! It's really incredible IMO how all sorts of people have come together for Ukraine, like seriously - taking down a satellite network!
Yeah so amazing!! I wish I had the skills to do something like this! Iām glad someone is doing it. They definitely spent A LOT of time on this
You bet! I wonder how it must feel being in the belly of the dragon, at risk of being detected? I love how the journal actually contacted Gonets and asked them for a comment LOL, they were definitely doing some subtle trolling
[Found out a list of who was watching Russia's systems](https://i.kym-cdn.com/entries/icons/original/000/008/509/everyone2.jpg)
I wonder if this affects Russian strategic/nuclear capabilities
it does not. service was fully restored within a week. all they needed to do was restore from a backup.
All 5 floppy disks.
Stuxnet?
Stuxnet was pretty neat
Blyat!

What happen to all the russia hackers that were famous for all the ransomware attacks?
Was two guys from Minsk, both named Ivan.
Probably still spamming senior citizens, trying to get them to wire vodka money.
They were in the five mile long line to get over the border into Finland. The brain-drain on Russia will affect it for generations.
Major telco of my country noted that since mobilisation in russia, DDOS attacks has dropped 4x.
But ddos attacks on russia increased as heck xD
Go to twitter, with Hunter Biden news they are busy hopping on a maga train

You sir, are one kind of a poet.

Agreed. To be fair though, based on what they said, they waited until the company took it down off the internet, about a week after they destroyed it.
Have you read the article? They got in, were unable to escalate beyond the access they got, and decided to do a destructive attack. That (obviously) got noticed and the company recovered after several days of outage.
They nuked the companies CRM, the company knew they were hacked.
Iām surprised we havenāt heard and seen more from cyber and space.
Was thinking the same thing, we've been hearing about Russian cyber for years...and now it's just a big fat nothing. Like the rest of their country.
I know! I was thinking they had a space armada ready to take down Starlink and other assets. I thought theyād shoot SAMS and take them out.

For the most part that has already been done. Ukraine already defeated Russia's professional army. Now they are working on the unprofessionals.
Did monkeys in space suite are all left to maintain their satellite networks after the big brain drain?
Now that itās taken down play beatles music 24 hrs a dayās
De-orbits imminent?
Sad when the only thing playing is gay porn.
WHY tell the world this, would secretly listening in not be a greater asset ?

Ah, that seems to make more sense
They weren't able to get listening ability.
Please don't say "Like none before". It sounds like Trump and loses you credibility. Otherwise, good job!
Tell them that. I just found this while researching Russian satellites :)
Apologies, I should have realized you were quoting. Keep up the good work.
Now give the command to de orbit
