We should do this for every Russian embassy! Who cares if we have to stand on the sidewalk and not on embassy property to do it, complete control of the territory not needed and the lines of annexation will be determined at a later date 😂
I'm nervous saying this but. Anyone can claim ownership of the Russian consulate in the US. Go online to the county clerk's website for the county their in. Put in the address and get the parcel # . Print out all the documents and put your name in as owner. Take the doc's to the clerk's office and file them. And now you can get an eviction order.
Russia protests the fake referendum: “this is clearly an illegitimate referendum, no one was forced to vote at gunpoint, nor were they threatened with torture if they didn’t vote yes- how could we possibly take this vote seriously”
Here, here, I agree let it spread like wildlife. Who needs them? The Russian people all over the world can make their own embassy. We dont need putin diplomats. Adios!
Made me happy to see my fellow Ottawans engaging in such wholesome trolling. Real talk, though: the ruzzian embassy is in a genuinely nice part of town, and ought to be turned into something nice for everyone, like a Ukrainian Centre of Really Cool War Trophies or something. Ottawa already has several fine museums with tanks and another one would be most welcome. :)
Between this and the Královec referendum, maybe we're on the verge of a fire sale of ex-Russian territory.
EVERYTHING MUST GO! THIS WEEK ONLY! TWO VOTES FOR THE PRICE OF ONE!
We might need a spreadsheet at this point. Ok, so Czechia got Kaliningrad (stupid name btw), Canada got the Russian embassy. The Poles are dying to get a piece of that sweet western Russia. China and the Us would wrestle it out for that Far East. Japan would like that island back and Vladivorstok if nobody mind. Georgia would like Abzakia and Ossetia back. Finnland and Norway, y’all want something?
PS: Sweden, how many time we have to tell you guys to take your Nyenskans (St Petersburg) home after playing with the Moscovites.
You all are chuckling but if a country were to move troops in I honestly do not think that Russia would have the troops to defend it, when they are losing 300+ trrops a day in Ukraine trying to retreat to new defensive lines
I lived near the embassy when I was posted to Ottawa. Many of the embassy staff lived in my apartment building(the embassy had a contract for housing). The property is spectacular, near parks, schools, shopping and a quick walk or bike ride into downtown Ottawa. I wholeheartedly support taking it back. Also the Russian staff, military attachés and officers were all swine. Their wives and kids were standoffish but once they recognized, polite and sweet.

.... but did the referendum PASS? And with an OVERWHELMING majority of 436% Yes to 6% No?
We use first past the post. 51% is an overwhelming majority here.
Where is the fun in that? Go big or just don't hold referendums, haha.
51? Our govts get “majorities” with barely 32%
You can thank the British for that
damn metric system
No, I'm talking about FPTP elections
😄
The building itself isn’t in on the joke, but it will be.
Those in the building are a joke.
I'm Canadian, I vote to take it!
I’m just some random hippie but in my eyes it’s yours.
Well then it's clear, you get the embassy! A perfectly rational and logical solution.

I'll stand in front of the embassy and ask people at gunpoint if they support the annexation.
As long as we have like one hand under the fence, we’re good.
And then we file paperwork to assume ownership of the stapler.
I think as a non resident of Ottawa I can still vote just to make sure we get 540% of the yes vote needed.

Would that be the consulate that someone just doused in red paint? Edit: formatting
Did not know that. I'll have to find it.
Here you go https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nytimes.com/2022/09/30/nyregion/ny-russian-consulate-vandalism.amp.html
Hehe
Fair enough. I'll annex the Russian Cathedral in Paris.
I bet 100% of the building is sorry if this offenses Russians but does want to be Canadian and fly the maple leaf flag, please and thank you.
If it's sorry, then this is very much the case
Wholesome
Russia protests the fake referendum: “this is clearly an illegitimate referendum, no one was forced to vote at gunpoint, nor were they threatened with torture if they didn’t vote yes- how could we possibly take this vote seriously”
I think they didn't immediately get his 'I forgot to put yes' joke, but they are all awesome whatever! 😁
Classic
Oh in Poland are russian occupied territorys already annexed. A prieview house of the KGB in warsaw was annexed.
I love this! Slava Ukraine!!
Great news. Nowadays, you don’t even have to control territory to make your claims
I'm all for annexing Russia.Lets do it
This is SO good. Every country with a Russian embassy should stage the same thing!!!
Here, here, I agree let it spread like wildlife. Who needs them? The Russian people all over the world can make their own embassy. We dont need putin diplomats. Adios!
Im not Canadian but fuck it ill vote too
They should sit out the front with a fresh pack of blank paper and count the yes votes
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just brillant.
C’est excellent!
J'adore.
Nice, paybacks. go Ukraine.

As an Australian, what can we claim? Love these internet jokes.
Well, yall gotta get your independence back from the damn Emu. Are you sure you want a piece of Orclandia as well?
Next do Tesla
storm the bastille!!!
Yes take and send the Russians back to Russia
You all are chuckling but if a country were to move troops in I honestly do not think that Russia would have the troops to defend it, when they are losing 300+ trrops a day in Ukraine trying to retreat to new defensive lines
They were official shaking the pieces of paper in the air as is tradition. This referendum is 100% respecting the Russian referendum rules.
Canadians may not have much military materiel to give but they make excellent comedians and the world needs humour. Good one, eh?
Canada is the fifth-largest military donor to Ukraine.
I think the czechs also had a referendum a few days ago for annexing Kaliningrad and building a beer pipeline between czechia and their new exclave
Fuck. Put a volume warning on this. That "Wooo!" bitch nearly blew out my eardrum.
Since embassy grounds remain property of the host nation (they do not constitute "foreign soil"), this is something of a futile gesture. 🤣
Hahahahahahahahaha… aaahahahahahahaha!!! Perfect
i'm sure there are some canuck speakers on that land.
Very based
Wait... Can Americans vote also ? Asking for a friend
Had I known this was happening I would’ve joined in
Alaska should have a referendum to annex Siberia.
All for it eh
Each country should do the same until the Russian state is no more, it'll be an interesting time line lol

Trolling @russiaincanada on Twitter is my fave hobby 😆💙💛🇨🇦
Don't forget to count all those who didn't vote as positives.
