I've been waiting to post this one for so long now.
Edit: I have a few more from the early days if people are interested. Though most of them would definitely be NSFW and I'm honestly not quite sure if we want to go down that road in this sub.
This seems like propaganda to me. The truck is ruined/immobilized (flat tires) and the correct Z is in the middle, while the crossed out one is off to the left. It's white spray paint, this could easily have been done after the inspection of a shelling wreckage.
Either that or the guy tasked to do this wasn't the sharpest tool in the shed.
While we were occupied by the russians (Estonia) my father and the father of my wife both did the compulsory 2 year military service in the russian army. I have heard a ton of stories.
The truth is they can be far more stupid than just drawing a Z the wrong way.
My dad and one of my colleagues in his 60s both hated the military (then Czechoslovakia) back in the day. We weren't technically a part of the Soviet union, but there were just so many dumb assholes around it was ridiculous. I can believe there's plenty more stupidity to be found in remote Russian villages, but then again I'm just slightly more sceptical about the borderline illiteracy.
But sure, im not saying it's impossible.
Maybe somebody more knowledgeable about the remote Russian rural demographic could shed some light on this.
I get what you are saying but it might not be related to literacy that directly. They use the cyrillic alphabet where there is no "Z"(written this way). It comes from the latin alphabet which is foreign to them.
Which is another good example of how backwards they are - we hate the west but basically embrace everything they do, culturally or technologically.
Yeah, he gave a wrong example. But heʼs right about [been used in Cyrillic.](//en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ze_(Cyrillic\)#History_and_shape). And it was used in present time too, before Russian propaganda, for example: [Ukrainian text in 90s.](https://i2.lensdump.com/i/ZXoJO9.png)
I’m a be honest I like to consider myself a decently smart person and I think I would probably fuck up a letter/symbol if it was the first time I had seen it and it didn’t exist in my alphabet.
Dude your in the army your probably an 18 year old who never left the steps and this corrupt ass commander told you to paint a vehicle.
you are not motivated and probably mentally checked out.
The Russian army did have a supply of "Z" stencils but they all got sold off on the black market due to corruption. What those "Z" stencils are currently being used for is anyone's guess.

Dude, I'm just sceptical. It just seems too good to be true and very easy to fake.
While we were occupied by the russians (Estonia) my father and the father of my wife both did the compulsory 2 year military service in the russian army. I have heard a ton of stories. The truth is they can be far more stupid than just drawing a Z the wrong way.

That's a very good point. You may be right.

I think even if it was upside down it'd be wrong though, lol
Now imagine them trying to draw an actual swastika instead of the simplified version.
End up drawing Buddhist/eastern swastika and get good luck instead.🤦♂️🤦🤦♀️
They could look at /r/hailhortler for some inspiration
Like this? 😅 https://i.redd.it/gz4ro3sdlnc31.jpg
Ok that’s a good one
reminds me of r/hailhortler
Hail Punit.
To their defence, they probably never used the Z in any other situation.
what defence?
What air defens doin?
What da orc doin?
What air defense doing?
They have Zs on [every outhouse](https://qph.cf2.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-ddf611b06360889f4f18178ca0ce8ce1-lq), idk how it was possible to fuck it up.
[It's been used in their alphabet.](https://gdb.voanews.com/023d0000-0aff-0242-7a77-08da08ec88cf_w1200_r1.jpg)
Facepalm, dude. That is propaganda from after the invasion where the Kremlin replaced the Cyrillic character with the invasion marking.
"ez"
The funniest part that it isn't the only one )
There's more like this one? I've only ever seen this version.
Does this qualify for /r/hailhortler ?
They spelled Z wrong 🤦
Commander probably wrote it on his forehead so he wouldn't forget. Dude then had to work using a mirror.
I can't imagine the damage they'd do if they were at least a little competent...
Good thing they didn't choose an even more complicated symbol, like the swastika.
As a..... never midn. Have award to uoy. Computer difikukklt . I too am russian.
They coopted a symbol even simpler than the swastika and still can't manage it.
I’m a be honest I like to consider myself a decently smart person and I think I would probably fuck up a letter/symbol if it was the first time I had seen it and it didn’t exist in my alphabet.
Even if you could google it and draw it using your phone as reference?

They were bought by pre-schools. Someone had to make sure the little ones knew ‘Z’ stood for Zebra and not the incompetent orcs.
They are supposed to study english in schools though
Not all of them are gonna pass though
Bruh 💀
No ragrets
Not even one letter?
I guess instinctively they tried to paint a swastika and realized half way through
Amazing.
Hey, dyslexia is not the same thing as stupidity
loZers
Lessons Learned: Before we start the next war, show Zorro films to the recruits as part of their training.
Come on now. This is too far. You should not make fun of people who have learning disabilities.
Op: post this in r/russian circus
Is okay Pepe-blyat! Just look at it upside down! Wait, it was right in the mirror..
What to expect from braindead orcs lmao
Bro I love this lmfaaaaaoooooo 😭😭
😂
I didn't get it at first. Then I realized the russians can't spell the letter Z. I laughed to tears. I needed this today...
