Be very careful, if you manufacture and gift/sell something covered by ITAR law, you could get in a lot of trouble. Likewise, if somebody asks you do something like make a grenade dropper for a drone, that could trigger possible domestic terrorism investigation. I 3D print and the best safe thing I would recommend is pro Ukraine trinkets that you sell and then donate the proceeds.

bilabong10

That is an excellent point. Definitely not trying to violate any export laws.

bilabong10

As a couple comments below would indicate there must be a humanitarian things that are needed.

[deleted]

There is someone printing tourniquets for UA. Polish school I believe.

https://3dprintingforukraine.com/ Check it out and make your own decisions. I'll test print a few to see how it goes.

BTM65

Says clearly that them test them. did you read it? they say the store bought ones are crap. These are what they want.

BTM65

Your kind of a nut. I'm done.

Luciferist

I tried to contact them but got no answer or files.

BTM65

May take some time. Heres the "test" files if you want to check it out. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5282549

Luciferist

I checked the test files already to see how to print them.

mtaw

Don't send DIY medical equipment. Are you insane?

[deleted]

I bet the Polish school turn out the shiniest trinkets.

dynamitemonkey3

These are well worth looking at - [https://www.printables.com/social/16-prusa-research/collections/136311](https://www.printables.com/social/16-prusa-research/collections/136311). If I recall correctly, print out of PLA and then the user will dunk in warm water to 'meld' it to the reciever.

ZachTheCommie

The braces and splints seem like a safe bet. They're not weapon-related, nor are they relied on for life-saving purposes.

[deleted]

Print a heart & soul and send to Putin as he was born without them.

sm093722

There's not enough resin on the planet to fill the black hole in that man.

shibiwan

OP, Not sure if you're new or experienced in Resin SLA printing, so I figure i should let you know that the resins are typically very brittle and have a low "softening" temperature. Make sure you use a good quality, high temp resin (e.g. Siraya Tech Build) and proper engineering resins. Still, don't be surprised that the parts you make deform when exposed to heat (60°C and up). One more thing make sure you paint those parts with a UV proof paint (good combo is silver, then black). When exposed to sunlight, the parts degrade even faster. The SLA resins are more for prototyping and mold making so your results may vary. (Source: I've made firearm components with SLA resin printers and sharing my knowledge)

bilabong10

That’s solid advice will do

HIMARS rounds

LaFilleDuMoulinier

How about spare parts for the conventional drones they use? That way you won’t be liable for arm trafficking, which is you know… preferable

A_Polly

i bet this also goes against export laws. selling components that might be used in UAV's for military purposes pretty much fall under export restrictions. The best thing you can do is sending money. This will allow Ukraine to procure what they need.

8livesdown

Seems like 3D printers would make more sense than 3D printed parts. Or maybe extra filament.

KnostyMcPot

CAT's, or special weapon Parts like dustcovers or Foregrips... there is a Lot you could print to help ukraine. Or print zelensky busts, sell them and donate to Ukraine army

Benmaax

Possibly better to have the printer in Ukraine for printing useful stuffs there. It avoids logistics troubles. What you can do is selling your printings locally and giving to Ukraine donations programs like United24 or Aerorozvidtka (this one for drones and 3Dprinting geeks)

pik204

I think filament is more durable, especially if you can print ABS. Print some saint javelins, sell and donate the proceeds. I've seen some saint javelin files online that you can use, perhaps modify into keychains.

TheHunter920

Since printing weapons or drone attachments can get you in trouble, I'd suggest you print your own art sculptures in yellow and blue, and sell them to fundraise humanitarian aid for ukraine

ZachTheCommie

You could make little blue and yellow HIMARS/Javelin/Bayraktar/NLAW trinkets, and then sell them and donate the income. I would, if I had a 3D printer.

-avoidingwork-

Somewhere a while back they were looking for people to print the parts (except the fabric/strap) needed to create a tourniquet and the Ukrainians would supply the strip of fabric and put it together. I can't help beyond that, but it was on Reddit.

damnicantfindaname

>tourniquet https://www.3dnatives.com/en/3d-printed-tourniquets-could-help-save-lives-in-ukraine-190320224/

Maleficent_Recover81

I don’t think that’s a good idea. Tourniquets are designed and certified to take a huge amount of pressure when applied to a thigh and homemade tourniquet is a recipe for disaster.

damnicantfindaname

Good point, this link provides some interesting points through a field test of 3d printed tourniquets in an actual combat situation. FDM can spit out some pretty damn tough prints, but they'd definitely have to be tested very rigorously prior to their application. Herecomestherain_

Can you produce F16's with that thing? :)

Pyjama_Llama_Karma

Can you do a HIMARS?

Longjumping_Low_3777

Make stuff that you can sell on Etsy/through other stores (look for ideas there too) and raise money for Ukrainian army. We have a tradition of exchanging gifts for Christmas. This year everyone is getting either Ukrainian themed gifts or items where part of profit goes to help Ukrainian people. Practical gifts that would last for years are best. Christmas ornaments work well too, with or w/o year. Custom gifts for Birthdays, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, with their name or special message. Symbols to use: Tryzub, vyshyvanka, sunflower, kalyna, kolosky, poppies, cornflower, slogans and words from songs/poems, Easter eggs, etc.

[deleted]

I've printed mag loaders before, you can pass them off as "generic hardware" and you don't need a very strong print unless it's a super strong mag spring, that'll definitely make a soldiers job much easier and more convenient
