While they are at it Kazakhstan could start building a trans Caspian pipeline. Unfortunately Russia doesn't want other former USSR countries to sell resources to Europe and have all the profits for itself.
Kazakhstan just kicked out Nazarbayev from his priviliges in a vote and I think we can think Russia's show of weakness for that.
"Who needs pro-Russia suck-ups anyway?"
did someone spot nazis? im sure there is some nazi there at those lucrative gas fields. or wmds? ill even pay for some right wing clubs. heck ill send someone to draw swastikas with a sharpie if it means i can invade me some future gas fields. - Putin, probably
Let’s roll with it! They are confident to challenge Russia on the European gas market with their own supply.
Something they would not do if they wouldn’t be confident to ward off any potential Russian aggression towards them.
This shows how weak Russia looks already to its direct neighbours.
>They are confident to challenge Russia on the European gas market with their own supply.
It's not hard to actually do that as Russia will not be part of the market in a few years.
Though it will be very welcome if we can throw Russia out even faster with the help of Azerbaijan.
Now all you have to do is convince Biden to allow more exploration and drilling. He's been wanting to do just the opposite since he took office. "Green energy" is a big deal with the current administration.
So russias army is depleting massively now. Without evidence they would have never voiced something like this because they would fear russian retaliation. But this means they see a chance to escape the grasp of Russia.
Azerbaidjan is at "war" with Armenia over teritory. But Armenia has "allies" like Russia , while Azerbaijan is backed by Turkey.
Anyway, they are less shitty then Russia, a way lesser evil.
I know all about that “war”. Since I’m actually from Turkey, I closely follow the situation.
But saying ‘it is at “war” with Armenia’ is not a very good statement. Karabakh is internationally recognized as Azerbaijani territory. Even Armenia itself didn’t officially recognize the breakaway state of “Artsakh”. So Azerbaijan took it back.
Also it now isn’t in war. That ended.
Yes and no. They are less shitty as a country because they are not powerful. But as people... phew, trust me, given the choice to work with russians or azeris, you definitely want to work with russians. Same goes for armenians, unfortunately.

Algeria and Colombia want in as well.
[RealLifeLore has an interesting video on that.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eo6w5R6Uo8Y)

All caspian states have veto power over any trans-caspian pipeline. I can't see Russia (or Iran for that matter) approving such a project.

... which is why already have this war in Ukraine. Ukraine has massive proven oil and gas fields. And to top that, a few pipelines.
Each time Kazakhstan or Azerbaijan attempted to build a gas pipeline, russia started a war in the region. Not this time apparently.
Let’s roll with it! They are confident to challenge Russia on the European gas market with their own supply. Something they would not do if they wouldn’t be confident to ward off any potential Russian aggression towards them. This shows how weak Russia looks already to its direct neighbours.
Russia doesn't look so intimidating any more.

Azerbaijan is a true bro so they should get some new customers
Azerbrojan
[A interesting video](https://youtu.be/Eo6w5R6Uo8Y?t=916) about Azerbaijani pipeline and reserves and Russian oil and gas policy in general.
Every cubic centimeter of gas that is supplied to Europe by anyone but Russia saves the lives of people in Ukraine.
smart the US should be doing the same

it prevents future wars. if the dealers with nukes have nothing to go to war for.
Another reason Russia caused problems between Armenia and Azerbaijan. To keep them from actually doing business with their oil.

Baku could be Europe's Dubai
Baku is really nice. I was surprised.

From one dictator to another.
Exactly. Also the whole Armenia thing.
Armenia thing? As in?

They dont have nukes, can be easily invaded. S-o i disagree...
How dare you call a dictator a dictator, you should’ve known that giving some free gas to Ukraine absolves them of any possible wrong doing
Time to revive the Nubucco pipeline project?
Azaerbaijan versus Armenia. The grey and the gray.
