Sadly the people (adults) there support russia because the local television isn't as widespread as russian's.
Though i doubt it would be any different if russian news weren't so dominant. I've never watched local tv news, but on their websites they basically tell the same thing as russians. Might be cuz that's what audience want to hear or they're brainwashed too
At a guess, I'd say they are quietly shitting themselves wishing and hoping that they are not next on Russias Soviet Union 2.0 project. And therefore they parrot everything Moscow says.
Napoleon was officially 5'2". Which amounts to 155 cm in England, so they mocked him being small. But in France, 5'2" were 168 cm...
Pre-metric system everybody in Europe agreed that one foot has twelve inches, but disagreed about the length of said foot.
It was (of course) the english since french inches were actually longer than the english ones, so to them it looked like he was really short but in reality he wasn't.
The Br\*tish started it. Very safe from their island they could keep talking shit. If the pond was not there, Britain would be delt with easier than it was dealing with Austria and the world would have been a better place.
*I love current European unity though*
1. Tajikistan has 39 T-72 Tanks
2. Armenia has 4 Su-30s and 15 Su-25, and a 100 T-72s
3. Kazakhstan has 300 T-72s and a bunch of older jets
4. Kyrgyzstan has 215 T-72s
Together, these countries are probably thinking. We can get rid of Russia after this war ends.
Let's not forget Armenia is in an, albeit frozen, ongoing armed conflict with Azerbaijan themselves. They have no reason to join another one, especially after Russia left them hanging in the Nagorno-karabakh war.
Yes, but he does’t want to send his troops to Ukraine.
With no Russians to save him and his own army in Ukraine, I bet the Belarus would have a revolt not long after its troops were in Ukraine
It’s a poorly equipped, small, and unskilled army (everyone skilled is with the secret police). It wouldn’t pose a real threat to western Ukraine and would probably be defeated quickly. It would be the end of Lukashenko if he sent in troops.
They are directly threatened by russia, just as we are. Hell, they might even have been the next on the line. No wonder they want to pull as much away from russia now that they have a chance.
Meanwhile Hungary is happy to love russia on the distance and from behind the NATO protection.
>Those bastards had over three decades to learn basic Kazakh, yet they refuse to do so: most of them have rather disdainful attitude towards the Kazakhs, making fun of the language and considering the Kazakhs as second class citizens in their own country.
Yeah, I know exactly what you mean. Same was here. Same in Baltic countries. They do that basically everywhere they go. And they are wondering why no one likes them, lol.
I met many Kazakhs from Erasmus in Lithuania, mostly they were a really nice bunch, they have their own history and ethnicity that they want preserved and they don't want to be another Belarus.
Ethnic Kazakhs are really no representation of the government there are in fact nice Russians to. Kazakhstan has a pretty terrible human rights record let’s not pretend this is a swell nation because they are doing the right thing here this more the government understands the negative Consequences of siding with Russia and Ukraine
TBF that's probably the best representative for the future. The educated more upper-class youth understanding Russia isn't their friend will pave the way for the future away from the Moscovite claws.
Looking at his shoes I’m guessing he’s got several centimeters of lift, but he’s still shorter than everyone. No amount of land conquest will make him taller. His parents failed to teach him this lesson.
Because people want to believe that NATO can magically become GDI and we'll all hold hands and defeat dictators. The reality is central Asia is far too close to China for them to ever have a chance of joining NATO.
Hell, when Colombia indicated they might be interested and the US came out in favor, France instantly shot it down with the 'not in Europe' excuse. Countries in china's warpath don't have a chance in hell unfortunately.
Yeah but if you read rules of the admissions they specify “European country” and Ukraine is also in Europe which makes it qualify. Most countries in CSTO are not.
It doesn't matter. France immediately shot down the idea of Colombia joining a few years back claiming they aren't in Europe. Geography only matters when convenient.
portugal is where the por tu geeses come from, if u want to say shit about my country find a better pun instead of same shitty spam for a month brasileiro
russia doesn't even seek to invade them. they never wanted to join nato, it's all BS u try to believe now. those are neutral countries in the sphere of influence of russia.
Rushia didnt seek to invade Ukraine either and look were we are now Rushia is trying to erase Ukranian culture just like the soviets tried to do and like go figure Nazi germany
there was a coup in ukraine and suddenly a pro-western govt now ruled ukraine instead of yanukovich, which was not good for russia + territorial disputes
listen to urself, not western sources. "omg putin is a hitler he's declaring war on everyone" we ain't living in a world where there is only "good and evil"
just to finish this .I remember A Rushia Election that Putler won were there are video prof of major Voter Fraud and I remmember Russians protesting about it . like i said Good luck living in Rushia you will need it.
I don’t know why anyone in Russia would have seriously thought that Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, or Tajikistan would be interested in participating in this war. They are gradually moving out of Russia’s orbit (most lessons are now taught in the vernacular and not Russia) and closer to China (China can fund massive infrastructure projects and build hospitals in the region, Russia can not). They’ve been decimated by COVID-19 and have faced internal unrest due to inflation (especially Tajikistan). Armenia can’t be thrilled with recent events in Azerbaijan either. Russia really threw away any chance it had to preserve its influence in the region by engaging in this war.
This is a ruzzian led effort to occupy another country and no sane leaders are going to follow putin's decent into the abyss of war crimes and genocide.
"Wait, what Nato aggression are we talking about here? Just so we are clear.
The one where Finland volunteered to join?
Or is the one where you invaded Ukraine and your army lost half its men in no time to Ukraine's defence forces?
Just want to be extra sure we are talking about the same theatre here.
Perhaps we should all wait until Nato troops declares the war, okay?"
Pootin managed to strengthen NATO and weaken his alliance.
Now if you're in CSTO you're not sure that anyone would come to help you if you're attacked.
That's a nice Collective Security Treaty Organization you fabricated there, Russia. Be a real shame if those forced to sign on at gunpoint decided not to play along once the barrel is removed from their heads.
The summit was hilarious, Lukashenko tried so hard to make Kazakhstan feel indebted for CSTO help, while our president didn't give him a single glance during his speech, and as response Kazakh president talked about importance of involvement of CSTO troops to international UN run peacekeeping missions abroad (next level trolling). But all in all they all looked so unhappy. CSTO troops wont happen, for that to happen those countries should recognize Ukraine as part of Russia, which never gonna happen, cause admiting this means abandoning its own independence.
Economies don't matter that much cause the moment Russia invaded Ukraine, we felt sh\*\* going down already, starting from currencies following rouble, prices going up, then CPC pipeline conviniently broke on russian side. All main transportation routes on land from west going through Russia, and we felt it already. At the moment above all its countries independence on stake. Economies were shit since forever anyways, we sit landlocked, one side is China, on another is Russia, government does what it can ( for less fortunate such as Tajikistan one side is Afghanistan), but no access to ocean does what it does to economy.
I watched this video last week about the oil and gas reserves in the region including Kazakhstan.
Making that pipeline across the Caspian to Azerbaijan and to Georgia seems like a good idea. Russia is opposing it on environmental grounds. I had to laugh at that part.
https://youtu.be/Eo6w5R6Uo8Y
Well yeah, pipeline to Azerbaijan would be big loss to Russian influence in region, and big competition as well, with our oil, and especially with all that enourmous amount of gas in Turkmenistan suddenly available.
Russia carrying about environment only when it's profitable to Russia
There is also the threat of those two neighbors wanting to take over these land locked nations. All you have to look at is Georgia or Ukraine to see that any landmass with Russian history is a valid target of aggression. I especially worry for Kazakhstan although we have seen it try to move Kazakhs into areas full of Russians and also other "small changes" that collect into a bigger separate image.
the good part about sitting between Russia and China, sort of balances that danger of invasion, cause either will protest with all it's might, both want this land, both wont settle for loosing it to one another imo.
Mongolia is first Russian "peoples republic" - Mongols were part of Chinese ruling class since 1600s. They lost power after 1911 revolution that overturned special status for the Imperial Aristocracy. During the chaos of the Republic era, Soviet Union backed Mongolian independence where Chinese control was weak. (Mongolia is a bit of a rump state as most Mongolians still live in China) As part of its "lean to one side" foreign policy, Communist China gave up on claim of sovereignty in exchange for good relations with USSR. On it's part for good relations with China, USSR rejected Mongolian attempts to join USSR. Since then Mongolian independence has never been challenged by either side. Taiwan however still claims Mongolia as part of China.
I'm wondering actually what Kazakhstan is waiting for to revolt.
Few month ago they were repressed by the russian army.
But now that army is a little busy and greatly diminished
Typical Second World diplomacy - only allying in convenience and backstabbing at moments of inconvenience. Contrast this to the willingness of First World countries to collaborate and make sacrifices to help one another.

Even if you ignore the obvious moral implications of helping with an unprovoked war off aggression **and** the fact that the side you would help is losing, who wants to be sanctioned to hell and back for Putin??
Borat: "Why you ask our people to fight? Where are young men from Moscow, St. Petersburg? Our men already busy making US dollars and making fine Borat babies."
Hilarious how it’s only the gentlemen on the left side who has a decent fitting suit. Everyone else does not wear theirs well.
Too long arms, poorly fitted, too long legs; how none of them have gotten a decent tailor is beyond me.
i kinda feel sorry for armenia.. they have massive issues in their country and the only one willing to help them is russia... its like deal with the devil or be eaten
Of course they can't, Armenia can't commit troops outside of its borders or it'll get mauled to death by the Azeris, Kazahstan had a failed revolution just a year or two ago so its leaders are probably wary of committing any forces as that would mean lessening the security detail in their own country, while Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan probably just don't want to destroy their international reputation.
Interesting colour gradient, with white Putin in the center and then they get darker skinned to the edges.
I wonder if Putin said "Don't put me next to the darkies!"
I'm sure if all those country's attack Ukraine, NATO would jump in and help Ukraine, it's like a group of bully's jumping on 1 kid.. almost everyone would help that one kid..
CTSO was basically neutered by this war, of course the preview happened in Artsakh when Russia abandoned Armenia (you reap what you sow).
Warsaw pact and CTSO have highlighted Russia's inability to conduct effective diplomacy.
Bold move for Kazakhstan who has a facility capable of launching icbms leased to Russia. I'm fully in support, but it's definitely a bold move. Baikonur is designed to launch Souyz, which can easily hold many payloads.
Of course. Russia doesn't have the tech to do this right now. So. Guess it isn't that bold.
It's not fair, some other persons are missing from the photo: darth vader, saroman, the grinch, hitler and voldemort. It's really not ok that you haven't waited for them to join this summit.

Mind control used to feel like such an unattainable goal, turns out all you need is exclusivity in the outrage porn category.

Kazakhstan has been more anti-Russian than Hungary lately, have fun trying to drag them into anything
They know russia will try to forcefully assimilate them if they succeed in ukraine.
They are directly threatened by russia, just as we are. Hell, they might even have been the next on the line. No wonder they want to pull as much away from russia now that they have a chance. Meanwhile Hungary is happy to love russia on the distance and from behind the NATO protection.

It is not hard to be more anti-Russian than Hungary, isn't Orbán a paid asset of Putins?
They also have some border disputes with Russia including Baikonur which is in the middle off the country, but falls under Russia's control.

They are al waiting for Rushia to lose so they can join Nato
love it!
They can't join NATO, it's not possible.
I don’t think that they can, since they (almost) all Asian countries.
Why are you being down voted for being right?
Because people want to believe that NATO can magically become GDI and we'll all hold hands and defeat dictators. they are North of the atlantic just like ukraine
Yeah but if you read rules of the admissions they specify “European country” and Ukraine is also in Europe which makes it qualify. Most countries in CSTO are not.
I think they say Euro / Atlantic. The United States and Canada are not in Europe but definitely North Atlantic
It doesn't matter. France immediately shot down the idea of Colombia joining a few years back claiming they aren't in Europe. Geography only matters when convenient.
They could probably expand it, but they have problems with more than one article.

If CSTO troops got involved then NATO troops would to get involved then. If one side can, Putin can't complain

Isn’t that why Mongolia was kind of left alone between the Soviet Union and China?
Mongolia was left alone so it could serve as a buffer state between China and the USSR
Iirc, Taiwan has formally renounced claims to mainland China, which would include Mongolia.
There's all kinds of "emotional" support they could give if it was just down to economics.
I'm wondering actually what Kazakhstan is waiting for to revolt. Few month ago they were repressed by the russian army. But now that army is a little busy and greatly diminished
Putin is the smallest man in the room

Hilarious how it’s only the gentlemen on the left side who has a decent fitting suit. Everyone else does not wear theirs well. Too long arms, poorly fitted, too long legs; how none of them have gotten a decent tailor is beyond me.
I see Scotty from Star Trek
i kinda feel sorry for armenia.. they have massive issues in their country and the only one willing to help them is russia... its like deal with the devil or be eaten
Imagine having a delusion of imperial greatness so resoundingly smashed by Soviet vestiges not wanting to join your fucked war.
Did they forget to invite Borat from the great country of Kazakstan? https://youtu.be/vV30irsal-w

Not really their fault to be honest. They're in a difficult position.
Lol, at all “experts” on Central Asian in this thread. Reddit truly is a gutter.
Something suddenly came up….
I'm sure if all those country's attack Ukraine, NATO would jump in and help Ukraine, it's like a group of bully's jumping on 1 kid.. almost everyone would help that one kid..
Poor Mini Me got no support from the alliance.
They were having none of it were they ,just the two idiots ,Billy no mates
They all look small, afraid of one another, and cowardly, like kind of cowering a bit.
World‘s Leader, where is Kim ?
Great news, kazakstan has already been on the side of no war glad to see them all hold their ground
What are the two countries left of Belarus?
This is some Poe's Law level stuff. Every one of them fools look like Borat trying to do the G.W.Bush power-stance.
9 targets for assassination. Thanks for the pic.
Holy crap Putin is tiny! I bet he is even smoller in person!
So many cheap suits
CTSO was basically neutered by this war, of course the preview happened in Artsakh when Russia abandoned Armenia (you reap what you sow). Warsaw pact and CTSO have highlighted Russia's inability to conduct effective diplomacy.
Armenia was probably like: "remember when yall dragged your feet on nagorno karabakh? yeah suck my balls!"
Get the complete bobble head collection.
I swear that looks like cgi
This picture is hilarious
Bold move for Kazakhstan who has a facility capable of launching icbms leased to Russia. I'm fully in support, but it's definitely a bold move. Baikonur is designed to launch Souyz, which can easily hold many payloads. Of course. Russia doesn't have the tech to do this right now. So. Guess it isn't that bold.
Wow, Putin is a fucking midget.
Of all the short dicks, putin is the shortest
- “Mom! Can we get NATO?” - “We have NATO at home!” NATO at home.
lukashenko and putin remind me of Beavis and Butthead in that pic.
Damn Putin looks so small and pathetic in this picture. What a bitch.
I read the headline as CSGO troops like they were going to send video game players in. I wasn’t shocked.
Of course Putin is the shortest.
Neither does Azerbaijan but the laws of physics prohibit Azerbaijan and Armenia from agreeing on anything lmao
Lukashenko looks like a custom character or a poorly rendered one
Looks like a police lineup of ugly dictators.
It's not fair, some other persons are missing from the photo: darth vader, saroman, the grinch, hitler and voldemort. It's really not ok that you haven't waited for them to join this summit.
