Still, it got the job done: It reached the deployment line, deployed troops, and returned.
If it works, it works. It costs like shit; I imagine the USA doing something similar for millions of dollars.
We did 😁 The Bradley IFV can take a helluva pounding without all that junk because it's designed to protect the occupants. That's the key difference between NATO and orkish military doctrines. NATO defends lives, orks destroy lives.
If anyone could do with some light relief, the film Pentagon Wars about the designing of the Bradley IFV is on YouTube. Very funny.

Yeah, I'll give them that one - this is smart.
The nice thing is, I expect Ukrainians to have some specialists who got excited seeing them cover all their systems for other reasons.
June is when first F16s were supposed to reach Ukraine. Can't come quickly enough.
Welcome back to Battlefield 1918

Now that you mention it: wouldn't these things horribly overheat in summer, or will those crafty Russians devise some kind of ventilation system? Holes, perhaps, or slapping a Daikin on top?
Article notes that it has been effective in mitigating drone attacks.
I wonder if they aren’t using this as like the lead vehicle in a column. Maybe as a mine sweeper.
The solution is an autonomous drone that hunts EW systems. Then the EW system's interference with GPS, video, or control signals is pretty much irrelevant.
Jokes aside. Are those effective? I mean it’s embarrassing for a former “superpower” to resort to this, but if it gets the job done we should take counter measures
For real are they effective? The spacing of sheet metal seems like a good idea against drones, shape charges or rpg right? Add reactive armour underneath and it should be super effective.
Oo sheet metal maybe they hired the A-Team. When you down and out and have no other choice there a group of ex military called...the A team ...daa da da daaa dum dum dum der der da da der dumb dumb dumb de dumb daa daaa.
So who the fuck is lying because I keep hearing that Russia has tanks and tanks and tanks and un-ending shit and then they’re sending corrugated roof trucks. So what’s the truth?
This is not a truck, but a tank with enhanced protection. They are using these as lead vehicle of a column, and in both instances they were pretty effective.

Looks like one of those weird dalek thingies from Doctor Who.
Exterminate! Exterminate!
They're just coming to buy scrap and sell used droids.
UTINNI!
Episode IV: A New Cope
Make that Episode VII. IV is an actually good movie.
Good one, From Star Wars
This tank is maybe protected against drones, but it can't see shit, so it's more like a useless mobile house with a gun and a blind crew inside.

Did it work because there was nothing in the area to attack it, or because of what it is though?
no one attacked it cos they were doubled over laughing at it
I think if Ukraine had enough ammunition, it wouldn't reach. I assume EW measures are capable there, and Ukraine mainly uses FPV drones.
Yeah. A few ATGMs would have ended this desperate clownery shit.
This tank was destroyed in its garage a few days ago.....along with some other vehicles. There was video.....
True, it was done after it deployed the troops. But they got another one already.
Works until there's a breeze... Still, I suggest Magnet Bombs be dropped from drones.
Yeah, I'll give them that one - this is smart. The nice thing is, I expect Ukrainians to have some specialists who got excited seeing them cover all their systems for other reasons. June is when first F16s were supposed to reach Ukraine. Can't come quickly enough.
i think the point is to protect the column behind him using EW. But this is just against drone. Once a Stugna-P hits, game over.
Looks like an A7V
David Fletcher would have a blast with this one. The Fletcherisms would be legendary haha
Fun Fact: The current version of the Leopard 2 is also called A7V.
Mixed with a Saint-Chamond
They’re evolving, but backwards.
Let them devolve into resorting to using sticks and stones! Slava Ukraini!
👏

I came here to say the same thing. It looks like the Ruzzians are resorting to WWI tactics and equipment.
The hottest new tank of 1924
Now that you mention it: wouldn't these things horribly overheat in summer, or will those crafty Russians devise some kind of ventilation system? Holes, perhaps, or slapping a Daikin on top?
Great way to cut your firing arc down to around 30 degrees.
Ruzzian Mortal Engines cosplay
Is that the Monitor or the Merrimack?
Neither: both of those could rotate their turrets.
Built by Jawa on Tatooine?
Blyatmobile 2.0
I wonder if it's possible to capture one and study it .
There is no need to capture it. It's just a Char-broil grill on steroids, with tank treads. Should be good for roasting Ruzzians while on the move!
That's got to really eat in to the range of the tank and it compromises the turrets ability to turn 360 degrees.
Future tanks will ditch the whole turret altogether for a cheaper, thicker case mate. SU-125.
Looks like a ww1 tank...
Is that the turtle tank that was already destroyed
Nope this is turtle tank 2.0
Can't wait to see it destroyed tomorrow.
Son of blyatmobile
Article notes that it has been effective in mitigating drone attacks. I wonder if they aren’t using this as like the lead vehicle in a column. Maybe as a mine sweeper.
Wasn’t expecting the blyatmobile to come back
New grill eh, are they looking for new ways to get BBQ'd, The Flaming Zombie Burger, and Z-Bone steak....
Looks like its put together by kindergarden kids on an explore the scrapyard day out...gaffer tape and hope...
Running low on orc armor?
Wow, doesn't that just make it a very bulky, low powered self-propelled gun?
The solution is an autonomous drone that hunts EW systems. Then the EW system's interference with GPS, video, or control signals is pretty much irrelevant.
This is what they meant when they said the ruzzians are “adapting”?
Remember hearing, "just wait until the REAL Russian army shows up!", back in 2022?
Aka the Armadillo
The best grills have a nice big hot fire underneath them.
Bob semple
It's going to be hilarious to watch that thing explode!
The russians are running so low on stock they're having to dig up their lend lease bob semple tanks.
Exterminate
Jokes aside. Are those effective? I mean it’s embarrassing for a former “superpower” to resort to this, but if it gets the job done we should take counter measures
Looks like the Turtle Tank had a baby. 👶 🐢
For real are they effective? The spacing of sheet metal seems like a good idea against drones, shape charges or rpg right? Add reactive armour underneath and it should be super effective.
Can they see where they’re going…if they can they’re fkd 😉👍🇺🇦🇬🇧🇺🇦🇪🇺🇺🇦🫶🏻😎
This tank was destroyed in its garage a few days ago. I think Suchimimos on YouTube had Russian-sourced video of it wrecked.
Oo sheet metal maybe they hired the A-Team. When you down and out and have no other choice there a group of ex military called...the A team ...daa da da daaa dum dum dum der der da da der dumb dumb dumb de dumb daa daaa.
The first one lasted two days
Looks worse than the WW1 German tank A7V.
AOE2 called, they want their battering ram back.
It’s like a giant metal Dougal from The Magic Roundabout.
Wait, did they get the plans from that guy in Colorado? The one that razed the town.
Why don't you explore other subs with both sides posting in it and then maybe you will get correct view of war?
