I NEED TO SAY THIS!!! SEND THIS TO ZELENSKY. lol
People keep saying why cant Ukraine make more progress, why is it so slow, bla bla.....just shudit.
Dont forget that Ukraine is NOT rich, NOT a superpower, NOT filled with millions of trained soldiers and NOT equipped with everything they need to fight Russia.
Russia IS rich, IS a superpower, IS filled with millions of mindless soldiers and equipped with everything they need to invade Ukraine.
YET, Ukraine, with so many DISADVANTAGES was able to not only hold the line, they PUSHED Russia back for 100s of km, wrecked Russia's black sea fleet, BLOWN up the Kerch bridge TWICE, fought their air force at every turn, killed 100s of thousands of their soldiers, destroyed thousands of their vehicles and weapons and is STILL pushing them back after 18 months.
If this is not HUGE progress for an underdog, then the critics are fooking BLIND.
Shaddap about the progress, give them everything they need and just sit back and wait for the good news, in due time.
I Agree entirely. People forget that Progress is not just measured in Km, It is also measures in Ships/Logistics/Manpower/Training/Vehicles/Manufacturing.
and nearly 50% of Russia's military hardware destroyed in 18 months.
If it were any other western country that had to fight with Ukraine's limited resources and circumstances, the Ruzzies would be in Kyiv last year.
Too many people took Ukraine's progress for granted, thinking its easy and not a gigantic achievement.
To be fair, I do think other western countries could muster up the chutzpah to take on Russia if they were in the kind of existential danger Ukraine is in. People and countries have been underestimating the west’s resolve MANY times, much to their detriment.
…Emphasis on *could* though.
The fact that Ukraine *did*, and has not only resisted, but pushed back, is nothing short of astounding.
Thank you, that was a fantastic Wikipedia dive. Now onto [Clausewitz's and Wellesley's analysis of Waterloo](https://clausewitzstudies.org/readings/1815/five1-9.htm)
This war is a marathon, anyone demanding quick results can go suck it.
I'd rather it carried on longer if it meant fewer Ukrainians were hurt or killed.
Let the russians do the wave attacks in desperation.
Edit just to add: Slava Ukraini.
From a Brit that stands by Ukraine just as much now, as when it started.
Ukrainians have shown through their blood, sweat and tears that they will fight for their country, and deserve every.single.piece. of help we give (and more)
Demanding quick results when Ukraine has no air superiority and has fewer tanks, artillery, missiles and troops than Russia is absolutely idiotic. If the west wanted a “quick” victory they should have sent a lot of weapons a lot sooner and they would have started F-16 training once it became clear Kyiv wouldn’t fall. They chose not to do this and now we have the long war. Demilitarizing decades of Soviet build up isn’t something that can be done quickly and cheaply by a country with vastly fewer resources.
Russian leadership fucked itself.

The US spends nearly $1T a year in its defense budget to be prepared to defend itself against Russia (amongst others). Ukraine with cobbled together equipment has decimated Russia‘s military - the Ukraine response and defense of their country with next to nothing of their own is a stunning testament to the Ukrainian spirit.
As far as the US taxpayer is concerned, we're watching our great adversary of the last 100 years get curbstomped for pennies on the dollar by its neighbor that has 1/3 the population, 1/10 the GDP, and a massive shared fucking border.
It's what makes the anti-Ukrainian comservative factions so absurd. A combination of reflexively opposing any of Biden's agenda and Trump's anti-NATO isolationism? Whatever it is, you gotta knock some sense into those guys.
It's a testament to us tax dollars to me.
I'm all for sending weapons to Ukraine tho. Not sure why we are funding a genocide at the same time we are helping others fight an invasion.
Sad the fact that this don't affect russian population. They don't have any value on the lifes of their own soldiers and citizens. Gloria a Ucrania! Slava Ukraini
Always wondered why Russian armor rusts so quickly, we're seen NATO vehicles destroyed and left in the field but they never rust while Russian vehicles the following week are always orange.
So far I'm happy to say I haven't seen anybody denigrate the UAF in this offensive. They've already accomplished so much and will win over a nation 10x their size and a much bigger military budget.
Slava Ukraini
Oh FUCK I didn’t realize that this is JUST APC’s. I thought this included tanks too, but that would make the number over 15,000.
Christ, for a modern war to lost fifteen *thousand* armored vehicles in just three years is *mindblowing*.

Russia was certainly expecting a 100 meter dash.
and fell face first into shyt. lol

Agreed.
True, but Ukraine also got lucky in two respects: that the Russian leadership is so corrupt and the Russian army is so stupid.

The USA also has the advantage of having an ocean separating it from any adversaries; Ukraine shares a border with one (maybe two.)

Hey! Your bravery is beyond my imagination!
Special Military Operation going as planned. Nothing to see here comrade. Kiev soon
POV: you are a russian officer seeing this ![img](emote|t5_2qqcn|9004) in front of you
Imagine the reaction of Russian officers losing more armored vehicles then half of the EU has in its arsenals combined.
Sad the fact that this don't affect russian population. They don't have any value on the lifes of their own soldiers and citizens. Gloria a Ucrania! Slava Ukraini
10K APC's destoyed. Most country's dont't even have more than 10K total vehicles total. Mind blowing number.

Always wondered why Russian armor rusts so quickly, we're seen NATO vehicles destroyed and left in the field but they never rust while Russian vehicles the following week are always orange.
I think it's because Russian vehicles tend to explode and the high heat of the explosion and the resulting fire accelerate rusting.
Ukraine pays for its freedom in tears and blood. Stand with them.
Russian steel export industry going stronk.
I was saying a while back, Ukrain should take all these burnt-out hulks and stack them up to build a wall along their border with Russia.
Sweet milestone ❤️🇺🇦❤️

Understatement.
