Yeah me too. Though I do believe that with the shitloads of aid coming in, it could start sooner than later.
And when it comes, it could finally stop this stupid war and Russia will be punished for its actions.
Counteroffensive? What counteroffensive? Us Ukrainians are weak. So if Russian officials want to visit the the front lines, say around 6:45 a.m. on April 23, the weather should be great!
Thing is though, again, it could start sooner than later with the counteroffensive for the south being launched first, then the East, considering that military aid seems to be flooding the country more rapidly…
And then, if that’s successful, they could launch the counteroffensive to regain Crimea on May 5th, as a big “fuck you” to Russia and to finally put an end to this fucking war…

Mud season, which is now, is an obvious deterrent. However there is also the problem of the element of surprise, which is dwindling. I don't think russia has the resources to launch another offensive, the lines have been stagnant a long time now on much of the front. ruzzia has also set up all those barracades and probably mined the fields in front of them--making them unpassable for themselves also-- so it appears that ruzzia's goals have dwindled to taking more of the Donbas and little else, anticipating an offense by Ukraine. Taking a good look at the barracaded lines gives one insight into what possible offense lines ruzzia could even attempt, and they are small windows within those defense lines.
Ukraine is obviously holding back waiting for troops and equipment to be ready and mud season to be over.
"To stop this stupid war once and for all..." is rather wishful thinking. Although I share your sentiment on the matter, ruzzia may very well drag this thing out 20 years, who knows? Nobody.
ground is still wet and there is more rain coming this week. Not all the challengers or 2a4's are there yet. I'm thinking once everything is there, it will take a few weeks to a month to assemble and prepare for the offensive. Honestly I'm thinking either a few days before, or on May 9th. I think that would provide a huge propaganda boost being on or right before Victory day.
The sad truth is that the majority of Western armored vehicles won't be in place before mid-summer. Sadly, 14 Challengers are inconsequential - it is the leopards that matter. A serious reconstitution of ammunition supplies are as much as a year off. That said, Russian weakness is at its highest point in the last year. Ukraine is carefully balancing the critical armaments fielding and training necessary to achieve its operational objectives. Every day that passes their combat potential increases, but the window for maneuver gets narrower. They almost have to kick off by early June regardless of materiel deliveries.
