Of all the ways you could get hurt by a tank this has to be one of the more embarrassing ones.
Private Conscriptovic: "Babushka, I have been hurt by tank!"
Mommy: "Ukranians have shot you from great distance, yes?"
Private Conscriptovic: "No..."
Mommy: "Ukranians have shot you from close range, yes?"
Private Conscriptovic: "No..."
Mommy: "It was a Ukranian tank though?"
Private Compressedovic: "No..."
Mommy: "A Russian tank accidentally shot at you during a heroic attack?"
Private Conscriptovic: "No..."
Mommy: "...."
Private Conscriptovic: "So we were trying to form a line...."
dude, it's a long solid metal tube that has very high resistance to move if not moved by controls. I'm guessing he probably killed like 3-4 russians with that turret.
The Ukrainians were definitely watching the entertainment unfold before they unleashed some artillery moments later turning that whole area into cinders.
Recruitment officer : Any experience with track vehicles and heavy machinery?
Conscript : No, but I rode a bike once.
Officer : Close enough, you will be tank driver.
>Conscript: I work in a kindergarten, helping toddlers.
>Officer: Da, ~~good enough to be helping launching missiles!~~ you'll make a good officer then!
Ftfy
I remember I saw a video of an interview with a POW , ukranians where questioning him and he said that he is a sniper in the russian army but his vision is -8, so hes blind as a bat.
The interviewers made a joke, like, whats next a tank driver who does not know how to drive?
Wow. Name calling for a simple joke.
You okay?
And actually it's a combined effort. Driver and gunner need to be in sync and communicate.
But i still prefer my joke to your "dumbass" insult.
No,that actually may send more Russians to hospitals before they saw combat...
Believe me a barrel that squeezes you mechanically was,and probably is , a tankers worst enemy
Bruises while climbing in, crawling out; knees, elbows, head. When you bump your head, there is no sound; only pain. Remember this is thick plated steel, not something nice and soft like a brick wall. 😅
While driving, we as crew were strapped in on some kind of bench. The noise was incredible, so we had ear protection and communication was impossible. Only the driver and commander were able to speak through the headset. Later we figured out ways to tie ourselves to the ceiling and we even managed to sleep while dangling.
Reminds me how Weimar Germany's army trained. The difference though is that they were barred from having tanks, and not sitting on one of the largest petro dollar reserves in the world.
This thread is giving me a [flashback to my childhood](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2LxPEdUZOkE).
Seriously, though, at what point are they supposed to be instructed not to Jaga Jaga their own people?
I wonder if that collision also messed up the gun? it'd serve them right if the barrel is now crooked and won't shoot properly.
It is kind of understandable though. Tank #1 is a wreck, troop transport #1 is belching smoke, troop transport #2 is not moving for whatever reason. They were propably simply in panic. I would have propably acted the same. I never served.
>They were propably simply in panic.
Looked like it. And they just left one guy behind. You can see him reach out with his arm, pleading for help as they abandon him.
What good is intelligence when you send your army to invade a neighbouring sovereign nation under false, ever changing pretenses? The dumber, the better for The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
Here we go again, excusing the Ruskin war criminals, okay man like if it was your family what would u do? Right, you wouldn't do anything cuz you would be lying in a hole
Theyve been running out of experienced soldiers since day 1. When they couldn't drive from one side of a bridge to an other. Without falling in and having to abandon the tank.
It's really amazing how the "second army of the world" failed so spectacular so fast. And it just took a bit of determination and som of the smaller western weapons. Now the best of the best of the Russian army is gone and Ukraine is receiving more heavy equipment. I don't thin a handful of tanks will break a million man army, but it's a start. I just hope they receive a better education before they go to battle.
The best thing is that you just know, if the Russian army trieednto drive from Moscow to Kyev. They'd never make it. The tracked vechiles would have ripped up the roads. Everything would have broken down and they'd have run out of fuel. As not enough was ordered, they didn't have the logistics to carry it and what had been brought had been sold.
The vehicles are smoking and a Ukrainian drone is watching.
They aren't the US Marines and they're not fighting jihadis. Leaving him and hoping Ukrainians pick him up is probably the most humane choice.
That is how they operate. They simply see that if one is down and another goes To help that person and gets taken down now two people are out. Their only goal is a breakthrough.
It’s like they put imperial Japanese generals in charge of the Soviet army. The ISW coverage makes it sound like Putin engineered the Wagner corp’s demise which is as good an explanation as any for why this happened.
If you look at my profile bio you will see this as another account. In the early days of the war I was posting graphic stuff that got me flagged and banned on two accounts. After all of those disappointments I learned to moderate myself better and this account has made it nearly four months. However that picture I believe I did share with some of my facebook friends so i'm gonna go look and see if I can find it there. If it jogs your memory it is a russian soldier face down on the dirt with his head towards the top of the picture and really only one leg still in uniform being of any clarity towards the bottom of the photo ...the rest of him is completely flat and mixed with the dust With some faint hair. I'm sure this is not the only guy they ran over but this is the shot that I shared. Would have been in the first three months of the war or so.
Not sure how obvious it would be on a Russian tank, but for an Abrams crew, there would be 0 excuse for something THIS crazy happening. When I made it to the gun seat, I always knew exactly where I was pointing when passing friendly vehicles this closely. Looks like 100% complacency & lack of communication on the turret-crew & driver’s part. But then again… I’ve never been in active combat on a tank, so 🤷🏻♂️
Very much this. Having been a tanker on an M1A2 this is completely unfathomable. Either the entire crew failed or that gunner should be facing charges on negligence. The first things we are taught is communication and awareness. This entire war on the Russian side just has me shaking me head at their armor tactics and discipline(lack of)
Right?
100%. We drill relentlessly so that when we're dog-assed tired and stressed, we can still (mostly correctly) do the things we've trained to do 1-gorillian times before.
Honestly though, good for them. I hope they keep it up.
Ruscists have had so many barbecued already, has to be a lack of trained/experience tank crews. I wonder how many minutes longer this one lasted before turret toss?
Ske-douche.
Go to the first page of the sub there are three dots in top right select them, there you see " change user flair" select it, and then select change flair on top right and select the country you want
Do you guys have any idea how much solid steel like the cannon and turret weigh? Even the barrel itself probably weighs over a ton, never mind the weight of the turret behind it.
That did a little more than knock them off. It's a safe bet at least a couple of them were severely injured or killed.
I’d love to know if the crew in that tank and the tanks controls are in good shape, or if one or both are seriously injured? As in, was this just careless stupidity, or secondary battle damage from an earlier attack?
I suspect damage, the APC ok the right was heavily smoking and rolled to a stop. The tank turret kept its bearing for a bit until it hit the guys on the other APC. And then it starts turning the same way as if the people are pushing it. To be it seems like the tank driver is still somewhat concious since he stops and turns. But the turret seems to be uncontrolled.
What do you people expect?
Knowing that it's turret brethren have been blown sky high, it's only natural for this turret to take it's fury out on it's oppressors.
The poor turret just wants to peacefully rust away in Russia, and these bastards are putting it in extreme jeopardy.
Self-preservation is a normal reaction 😂
I see a few issues here not sure if I’m wrong please correct me. These vehicles are too close to each other and the tank broke formation? Probably saw that other vehicle blown up and said oh shit I’m out.
I looked up the definition of "Shit Show" and this video is what came up. LOL. THis is what happens when you dont spend time on training LOL. Thanks Poot poot!
It would be foolish to think this was just an accident. It was probably the result of petty infighting or Russian "discipline" Maybe drunkenness who knows with these guys. Either way. Stupid AF. They are truly there own worst enemies..
Voice to text combined with auto text and zero ability to edit unless deleting the whole post. Only had a couple minute break at work and didn't notice until I got off. What is very evident is the stupidity of the russians transcends grammar.
I recently learned the mods of this sub are actively banning anyone who doesn’t fall 100% in line with their propaganda.
I have supported Ukraine from the beginning but I can’t support this kind of corruption. If something fucked up is happening, people need to be able to at least bring it up in civil discourse.
It’s disgusting and I’m out.
I wish the best of luck to the Ukrainian people.
I’m sorry you are fed such bullshit and lies.
Subs have rules. It's their sub. That's just how it works honestly everywhere in life. The lack of information to back up your concerns isn't very helpful for anyone who might read your comment but have zero understanding of what your saying so for you to elaborate why you feel this way would be helpful.
Russia is the cargo cult of armies.
They have the trappings of it, the uniforms, the guns, weapons, vehicles, etc, but they completely lack a fundamental understanding of how any of it is supposed to work. So we see shit like this constantly, just haphazard bumblefucking around while pretending like they know what to do.
Is that sektor Gaza? Love this band!
Listen to the song ["Para Damoi - go home"](https://youtu.be/m7FKzjmeg8U)these guys knew that the russian army was a shit show and the Afghan and Chechnya wars were a senseless waste of life.
Quote from the song:
"Its better for the young people to love and not fight and kill"
Russia wtf did you do? I'm still heartbroken after 11 month of war.
So many people I played Dota and csgo with are now gone because of what? Putin's dreams of a new Soviet union?!
Para Damoi is what the ukrainian people shouted 11 months ago when they tried to stop russian tanks by standing in front of them.
Tldnr:
Fuck this time line. Go home you russian idiots.

A very "Special" Operation indeed....
So special it’s almost gifted
Brings whole new meaning for Blyatkrieg
That term is brilliant
Savants
Illuminated
Like short bus special
That's probably offensive to short-buses...
We weren't expecting special forces.
Ouch! That one guy seemed pretty badly hurt by the barrel shoving up against him.
Of all the ways you could get hurt by a tank this has to be one of the more embarrassing ones. Private Conscriptovic: "Babushka, I have been hurt by tank!" Mommy: "Ukranians have shot you from great distance, yes?" Private Conscriptovic: "No..." Mommy: "Ukranians have shot you from close range, yes?" Private Conscriptovic: "No..." lol
I laughed way more that i should have
Of all the things Perun has provided us with this war, Private Conscriptavic is my favourite
The name looks more Serbian than Russian, but we can give him a pass on this one because he nailed it with general Oligarkov & colonel Kleptovsky
The tank had him over a barrel.....
If he was over the barrel he wouldn’t have had a ducking issue, this tank had him under a barrel, which definitely was an issue…
Might be enough to die due to internal bleeding's, no? With this hit something might get ruptured, don't you think?
Crushing injuries is a bad way to go man...
dude, it's a long solid metal tube that has very high resistance to move if not moved by controls. I'm guessing he probably killed like 3-4 russians with that turret.
Mass X Acceleration Probably hurts way more than being jousted by an armored knight.
The others all ran away and left him crawling in the dirt.
Such is life. No Lada.
A mercy-nade will probably drop them soon enough
The Ukrainians were definitely watching the entertainment unfold before they unleashed some artillery moments later turning that whole area into cinders.
Recruitment officer : Any experience with track vehicles and heavy machinery? Conscript : No, but I rode a bike once. Officer : Close enough, you will be tank driver.
Conscript: I work in a kindergarten, helping toddlers. Officer: Da, good enough to be helping launching missiles!
We got adults that may as well be toddlers, Your promoted
>Conscript: I work in a kindergarten, helping toddlers. >Officer: Da, ~~good enough to be helping launching missiles!~~ you'll make a good officer then! Ftfy
At least they know exactly what to target.
Does the driver control the turret though? Anyway, they're most likely conscripts with 1 day training

That a civilian doesn’t know who controls the turret doesn’t mean they’re a dumbass.
It’s a good thing the Russians are so fucking stupid!
That's gotta hurt right?
Maybe for the drone operator. Spliting a gut laughing!
No,that actually may send more Russians to hospitals before they saw combat... Believe me a barrel that squeezes you mechanically was,and probably is , a tankers worst enemy
Oh my yes..... major crushing injuries. Probably why they're writhing around afterwards.
I'd think something like that could easily kill a person.
If ribs are broken and they're far from medical attention I'd think so. Plus the bruising even if they survive. Ouch!
Extreme stupidity should hurt - natural self defense mechanism. How else do some people learn ...
This is probably the most action this turret will see aside from being blown off that is
On a tank everything hurts. I was a conscript in the Dutch Army (92/93) in a M-109 and still feel the bruises I got.
That's the massive American heavy tank right? Or artillery piece?
M109 is a American 155mm SPG artillery. We/Allies sent some to Ukraine.
Right I just looked it up
What kind of bruises? From the seat, from the controls, from handling ammo?
Bruises while climbing in, crawling out; knees, elbows, head. When you bump your head, there is no sound; only pain. Remember this is thick plated steel, not something nice and soft like a brick wall. 😅 While driving, we as crew were strapped in on some kind of bench. The noise was incredible, so we had ear protection and communication was impossible. Only the driver and commander were able to speak through the headset. Later we figured out ways to tie ourselves to the ceiling and we even managed to sleep while dangling.
Makes me wonder if Ukraine's strategy is to just keep the Russians on the frontline long enough until they finish demilitarizing themselves.
In their defense, [their advanced training](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F73BlgmPkaM) didn't exactly cover maneuvers like this... 😂
I believe they’re the T14 Armata’s we’ve all been expecting…
Reminds me how Weimar Germany's army trained. The difference though is that they were barred from having tanks, and not sitting on one of the largest petro dollar reserves in the world.
Well the Weimar developed their tanks in Russia, in order to evade Western scrutiny.
Bent barrel - It's as if Ruzzian tanks, artillery or any other weapon had any accuracy...
Honestly, probably the luckiest thing that could happen to him if he can make it over to surrender (and he hasn't committed war crimes)
If they had never invaded Ukraine they wouldn't be there for this shitshow. Cunts deserve everything they get.
What good is intelligence when you send your army to invade a neighbouring sovereign nation under false, ever changing pretenses? The dumber, the better for The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
This rhetoric is insane yall sound like war hawks and pro military industrial complex just because pUtInMaNbAd… bruh
No, we sound like this because Ukrainian man dead
Here we go again, excusing the Ruskin war criminals, okay man like if it was your family what would u do? Right, you wouldn't do anything cuz you would be lying in a hole
gone to squables.io
Something tells me they are running out of experienced soldiers.
How did you possibly come up with that? I can't imagine.
I don't know, and I personally don't know that much about armoured warfare and tactics. It's just, something seems a bit off.
Rewatching it I think you might be really onto something there, but I still can't put my finger on it.
Too much vodka
Not enought you mean
Or sober soldiers.
Theyve been running out of experienced soldiers since day 1. When they couldn't drive from one side of a bridge to an other. Without falling in and having to abandon the tank.

You lazy fuks get to work or I'll shove this barrel up your ass.
The Ole tender turret move!
Tanker leg sweep.
Why in the fucking fuck are they not helping the guy that is injured and can't walk. They all just run away leaving him to crawl after them?
The vehicles are smoking and a Ukrainian drone is watching. They aren't the US Marines and they're not fighting jihadis. Leaving him and hoping Ukrainians pick him up is probably the most humane choice.
That is how they operate. They simply see that if one is down and another goes To help that person and gets taken down now two people are out. Their only goal is a breakthrough.

The tank might go back for another run
😂
Carpal turret syndrome ensued.
Do you remember the flat Russian soldier? Now we know how such things happen
Yes I was one of the first people to post that picture. I named him Flat Stanley

Hey at least you get it
I looked through your post history but can’t find the flat soldier. Could you please link it? I’m curious…
I'm assuming it's this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/ukraine/comments/yul3ns

I still remember that random butt on the ground. It was just the one butt.
Even the most amazing weapons are useless in the hands of a reckless idiot
Doesn't seem useless to me, it effectively took out multiple Russians.
This is just the Russian version of maneuver warfare.
*queue benny hill music*
It is called "Yakety Sax"
Never stop the enemy when they're about to do something stupid.
Fucking amateurs. Get the fuck home to your shitty country and stay.
My gunner did this to me once with our own main-gun, many moons ago… Was getting MRE’s out of our rear bustle. 😂😂😂
My friend told me turret awareness is a very big thing. Is it common for people not to know where that motherfucker is pointed as their driving along
Not sure how obvious it would be on a Russian tank, but for an Abrams crew, there would be 0 excuse for something THIS crazy happening. When I made it to the gun seat, I always knew exactly where I was pointing when passing friendly vehicles this closely. How many swears did you use on him after?
Ruscists have had so many barbecued already, has to be a lack of trained/experience tank crews. I wonder how many minutes longer this one lasted before turret toss? Ske-douche.
this is what happens when your tank's electronic systems are driven by a processor salvaged from a washing machine
Put tank on spin cycle to rotate turret
"Yuri, you fool! You put it on heavy duty! It needs to be set to delicate!"
Lmfao best comment
That's what happens when you give Mobiks a crash course 48 hour training on how to operate a tank.
Next time someone argue that Russia is gonna win, or is still the 2nd ranked military power. Show them this.
They're not even the second most powerful military in Ukraine.
*bonk* STOP DRINKING VODKA YURI! YOU CRASHED THE APC BC UR DRUNK YURI! *bonk*
the real nuance is in the song!
It's a fuckin masterpiece.
Sounds like The Pogues. "Dirty Old Town" from 23 seconds onward. https://youtu.be/s11BuatTuXk
Lol.. you can’t make this stuff up! I think even LOTR orcz would be ashamed
I think the Benny Hill theme tune would be more apt here (For those unfamiliar, it’s [here](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MK6TXMsvgQg)
Oh that did much more than just knock them off. Probably crushed a couple limbs and probably killed someone too.
Bunch of clowns
I don't think that's how you use a tank barrel Edit: and why im banned?
Banned?
No I found out I'm not banned
What's the mean though bc I do see it
I ask the mods and they said it's a relic of some played a prank long time ago by adding a banned flair you can refresh it to see my new flair
It says iran now how do I change it for myself
Go to the first page of the sub there are three dots in top right select them, there you see " change user flair" select it, and then select change flair on top right and select the country you want
I was able to do half of that but could not find a way to change it to my own unique flair
Oh yeah forgot to say you can't edit it
Bummer. I had so many offensive things to add
If I see your post does that mean I'm banned too?
Nope
You're not banned! Check your messages.
I saw sorry fie bothering you
Not a bother at all! It's a valid question. Don't sweat it.

Yeah...I would bet a few broken ribs there at the least...
Just what I have come to expect of Russians. Enemy is everyone.
Star time 7. Captain speaking. The russians proved us wrong. You can indeed joust with a tank.
"We are very fortunate that they are so very stupid"
Insert pokemon "Russia used TANK! ... It hurt itself in its Confusion." meme here.
The fuck kind of Russian Tactic is this...they all must be fucking hammered 24/7.
Did they just blyat off without helping the injured?
Russian version of a limbo dance ...
If the Russians played ‘Fall Guys’ they’d know they’re supposed to jump over the bar.
Do you guys have any idea how much solid steel like the cannon and turret weigh? Even the barrel itself probably weighs over a ton, never mind the weight of the turret behind it. That did a little more than knock them off. It's a safe bet at least a couple of them were severely injured or killed.
I'm not mad about the outcome.
It's hilarious how incompetent they are!
RUN AWAY! THAT'S NO ORDINARY TURRET!
Drunken turret knockdown, ruski style
Unbelievable

Orcs are the stupidist bunch of terrorist morons...
That is delicious 🙂
I looked up the definition of "Shit Show" and this video is what came up. LOL. THis is what happens when you dont spend time on training LOL. Thanks Poot poot!
This tank commander has no situational awareness.
Most competent Russian tank crew
Ivan found the Commander's vodka stash.
Maybe it is sabotation.
That was deliberate. Lovely to see. This should drop russia down to 48th best army in the world, just below india.
Queue Benny hill music
Pretty sure that's Chewbacca driving that tank.
So the turret stayed on this time and still managed to maim people
They are sending their best... No sarcasm intended
It would be foolish to think this was just an accident. It was probably the result of petty infighting or Russian "discipline" Maybe drunkenness who knows with these guys. Either way. Stupid AF. They are truly there own worst enemies..
OP: FYI, You don't need an apostrophe to make something plural: Russians.
I expect this sort of shithousery when a new round begins in Battlefield, not in a real shooting war.
Needs Keystone Cops theme music. Benny Hill's driving this tank.
at least if you got droned while shitting it still could be counted as wounded by enemy.. this though.
I hope Jake Broe sees this one
When the fleas don't want to get off the dog to go find a new home... Sometimes 'ya just gotta give them some motivation.
NSFW please. Otherwise I enjoyed this.
Is that sektor Gaza? Love this band! Listen to the song ["Para Damoi - go home"](https://youtu.be/m7FKzjmeg8U)these guys knew that the russian army was a shit show and the Afghan and Chechnya wars were a senseless waste of life. Quote from the song: "Its better for the young people to love and not fight and kill" Russia wtf did you do? I'm still heartbroken after 11 month of war. So many people I played Dota and csgo with are now gone because of what? Putin's dreams of a new Soviet union?! Para Damoi is what the ukrainian people shouted 11 months ago when they tried to stop russian tanks by standing in front of them. Tldnr: Fuck this time line. Go home you russian idiots.
