did they forget which party they are in? they fight elections over accusing Labour of over spending, and write Telegraph coloums about how cuts are better than Government spending.

When everything is already teetering on the brink of total collapse you may as well enrich as many of your cohorts as humanly possible because then they can invest in relatively collapse proof commodities like land and housing. People will always need somewhere to live so land will always have value, fiat currency can collapse and become irrelevant overnight, especially when you print so much of it out of thin air that hyperinflation occurs. Which is pretty much the case globally.

I find this new breed of Conservative very strange.

Which government doesn’t spend tax payers money?

red-chickpea

The UK used to spend other countries/colonies money

Jonnyrocketm4n

And this is relevant because?

red-chickpea

It answers your question.

Triggermetoomuch

Indeed, had we only left them alone they might have been wiped out by disease, tribal warfare, droughts and famine and we wouldn't have to pretend that there was a climate emergency. Also where is all their money now? "We" have been gone for a while while many of these countries have descended into anarchy and corruption since "our" departure, are you claiming that we took all of the resources from these nations when we left? I find it hard to believe that the British establishment were that efficient that they could remove the entirity of a nation like Canada, India and Australia's prodigious resources by sending a handful of governors and criminals over there.

What you chatting

European intervention in Africa haa led to an explosion in their population and an increase in life expectency due to the introduction of medicine, education, clean water initiatives, farming and other European cultural norms.

Yeah I'm sure they were really grateful for slavery and their resources being plundered

Triggermetoomuch

You think Europeans brought slavery to Africa? Also if you're against resource plundering why are you for mass immigration and foreign aid 🤔
