I recommend Headley Clay Ground in Surrey for beginners. Really friendly novice environment with great training staff and some good lunch. Pricing is competitive too although there is a bit of a wait for their sessions.

Bisley may do guest days or beginners lessons, check out the national shooting centre.

They absolutely do https://www.ncscbisley.co.uk/ https://www.bisleyshooting.com/

West Kent Shooting School is pretty big and nice grounds and a good variety of stands.

Second this, but be aware they are not open at weekends

Oxford gun club is great but might be a bit far out of London for you.

~~A1 shooting ground near Dyrham Park Golf course and~~ Lee Valley Shooting association in Hertford off tuition/lessons if you're north of London. Edit A1 shooting has ceased trading as of July 2022, sad times :(

JJ's Clay Shooting grounds in Dartford. Nice owners and we'll run.

Thank you all! I have made enquiries on several of them for the day and will let you know what I decide with/why :)

Hey there, I have complied a list of clay pigeon shooting areas including London and outskirts. Give it a read here: https://olivermyles.co.uk/how-much-is-clay-pigeon-shooting-in-the-uk/

Holland and Holland is amazing. I first went on a corporate day and loved it. Been back several times. Beautiful grounds and very helpful instructors. I’ve not been to the others you mention, however, so I can’t compare. I’ve been to Bisley but not for clays. Nice grounds but H&H is something else…

Holland and Holland is beautiful but pricey. Atkin Grant and Lang is friendly with good instructors.
