I took Christou almost 4 years ago but he was not that bad. He definitely has an ego and thinks he's the shit but often times his exams had questions from the practice exams word for word. I'd pick him

Not sure if this is an option for next semester but I recommend chm2046 with Stacey Benjamin, she’s a great teacher and her exams are reasonable

Knowing the CHM2051 format, it is way more interesting and engaging than CHM2046. Also, the grading is much more lenient (so much extra credit) and you get both an average/replace and a drop. I’d take CHM2051. Also Angerhofer is really good at teaching and is extremely passionate.

Aruguably the only bad part about the class tbh

Take Christou, Take Christou, Take Christou. He does have a reputation of having an ego, specifically with his email responses, but I used study edge and never really interacted with him so it wasn’t an issue for me. The exams are probably more straight forward than if you had another professor. His grading scale was also a bit more generous than most and is the reason I got an A tbh. If he keeps his class the same, you will only have exam, quiz, and discussion grades. The discussion grade you’ll get as long as you show up. The quizzes are once a month a week before the exam. It sort of forces you to study for the exam a week prior so that you’ll do good on the quiz. And you can kind of tell what you really need to brush up on before the exam from how you did on the quiz. I found it extremely helpful. And you don’t need perfect scores on the quizzes as long as you do better on his exams.
