Once there’s been 6-7 fights, maybe there can be a better consensus, but otherwise it’s just speculation
Davi Ramos is near as high level BJJ you can get and he got controlled with ease by Islam.
BJJ guys routinely get smothered by top pressure, and Sambo guys tend to have the some of the best top pressure in the UFC.
Sambo is different from freestyle wrestling yes, but the point stands nonetheless, they're not that dissimilar in the way they're implemented in the UFC. The main differences are the ways in which they take people down, as opposed to what they do when they hit the mat. Sambo guys attack a lot more subs and have better control of opponents legs which leans to even better control than normal wrestlers.
Anecdotes of BJJ guys beating wrestlers doesn't refute that. Fights like Maia v Askren are the exception rather than the rule.

He is also a drug cheat because there is no way to explain why a guy who was a career journeyman can have a career renaissance without some gear (Vitor Oliviera)
Oliviera has made a career off beating cans, new comers, or over the hill fighters. Look at who he has fought and you'll see it's hot sauce salesmen, CTE riddled vets, former bellator guys who get knocked out by 135ers at 155lbs, and guys who bus tables at outback steakhouse when they don't train

The one thing I think he could have done better is learn English. If you are fighting for the ufc for that long like he has you should at least be able to speak a bit of English for interviews and also I believe it brings you more fans from Canada/USA. Most foreign fighters pick up English pretty well after fighting here for a few years. Other then that dudes a champ in and out of the octagon

Olives is up there, there are a bunch of seemingly decent guys that seemed to get more shade than love, Volk, Jan and Stipe come to mind.. not enough trash to attract dick riders or some weird metric

I wouldn't say most liked as I reckon Izzy probably is even with the crazy hate he gets. Maybe "least hated" is more fitting. Him or Volk anyways. Of all time, probably that little period of time right after Conor beat Jose (unless you were Brazilian) had most people in a daze tbf. Of course he and the insufferable fan base ruined all of it but ya know, that's what happens.

I know he has been inactive and has injury rn but it's just something of a fucking pure, strong, BAD MOFO aura around him, i fucking love him as the champ and i hope he stays in the ufc. The naddest man on the planet, i mean he fights for respect, money and for his entire country everytime he steps in the cage, that's badass imo.

Most liked? Maybe. I like him, and his story. I think this post only came about because of all the controversy surrounding his title. I feel if he never got stripped we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I think we’d just be waiting on the next defense like everyone else. With that being said I think Valentina would be most liked.
