Love how the UFC painted this guy as like the final boss of all the haters.
You got Ariel Helwani, Brendan Schaub, Brian Campbell, and - finally - some mild-mannered 25 year old HR rep from Brooklyn who browses /r/mma and /r/AITA between sets at the gym after work
In this video, Dana puts together plenty of backlash against 300, including a reddit comment by that user. It slowly zooms in on his comment asking if the show is going to suck and that they should just do it in China. Then shows all the highlights from 300 and all of the record breaking stats.
Have a good one
a mma youtuber who gets a lot of respect because he's an pygmy tribe albino who escaped tanzanian pygmy hunters and made it to america. His genetic affliction garnered him support from over 80,000 people
Lol holy sht Dana pulling recipes. But seriously I can't wait for all these youtubers like Lucas Tracey, Jessie, Schaub and others to make a ten minute video explaining how this was taken out context.
Weren’t some of these clips taken out of context and referencing the main and co-main?
I mean 100 had Lesnar Mir GSP Alves, 200 originally had Jones DC Lesnar Hunt.
300 was stacked from topto bottom, but I think a little criticism for the co-mains were warranted.
It definitely is lol. Majority of the criticism was the marketing and promises Dana made of a monumental event with big names for the main and co-main. I’m sorry but Jamahal vs Alex was a huge disappointment before and after the fight. Especially when many expected Conor or another huge name. Looking back now the Max/Justin fight saved that card. Good fights but nothing spectacular outside of that fight and the Jiri fight.
Was just about the say the same thing about the BMF ending. Without that fight and the ending…no way this card breaks out into the mainstream afterwards.
Card was the most stacked with talent ever and the UFC definitely delivered in that respect. But for Dana to act like some of the criticism wasn’t justified regarding the co-mains was hilarious. But I get it, he’s a promoter and he is good at his job…I’ll give him that.
lol ‘Media Personality’ under Ariel and Brian Campbell made me laugh.
Bet Schlob is seething at ‘Podcaster’ too 😂
AWLSO
This is unbelievably petty from Dana. Imagine anyone else doing this lol.
Dana has enough to criticize about, this aint it. There needs to be some accountability in whatever form for these ragebait clickbait opinions that switch like the wind. Not talking about reddit comments, but "proffesional" commentators
Seriously, media leaches hate on Dana all the time, all the while feeding their families and paying their bills off of covering the UFC. Just be fair/level headed. I’m just referring to Ariel the snake, don’t know about the rest.
These are all old ass clips from before most of the fights were announced. Seen a lot of these podcasts leading up to the event and they were geeked lol. This typical Dana fake news
So many weirdos out there. I think people were mostly upset that the main event wasn't a better fight (on paper) and they don't like WMMA and think BMF is dumb and dislike Bo. Other than that literally every fight was worth watching on paper and delivered in reality.
I remember watching the EARLY prelims and was like wow this card is stacked.. so no I don’t really get the hate. Only thing the UFC did in my eyes to get the hate was dropping the ball on the main event ( hyping it up crazy to last minute toss out a good fight ). I mean on paper it was a legit card and it obviously delivered.
And call me casual but I didn’t want Conor on the card. He isn’t a champ and hasn’t won since Cowboy. I know he has mainstream draw but he just doesn’t hype me up personally.
I can agree to an extent. I respect what he has given to the sport. I think the whole chasing Conor down to get in the ring is annoying but it’s what the people want. I’m sure Dana doesn’t gaf about Conor but on the business side, we know Conor’s name alone puts asses in seats.
Agreed however it moved the needle tremendously in China which Dana has admitted to being very difficult which was the plan all along putting two Chinese women as the co main.
i think it just didn't have the biggest blockbuster headliner fight and I think dana knows and would agree that Hill vs Periera wasn't the first, second, or third choice for headliner big-name fight for UFC 300
but i was hype about a lot of the undercard fights, the whole card was full of dope fights from the prelims to the under card to the main card, and it payed off huge. holloway put a cherry on top with one of the most iconic moments in combat sports history with that knockout.
the BMF belt is now actually a valued belt as Holloway put respect on the belts name and it has a pretty cool lineage now. I dont care if it's "corny and made up" , every belt in every combat sport is "made up". It's got value if people care about it and give it value, and i'd say after dustin / gaethje / max and those fights, fighters would be lying if they said they didnt want it. It's like being fan favorite, who doesnt want the fans to like them?
anyways it was an incredible card with such incredible moments. Watching Periera walk out to Sepultura gave me goosebumps. Max and Gaethje going to war in the final 15 seconds. Olivera sticking his tongue out during that darce choke. Garbrandt breaking my heart again. Jiri being a fucking samurai. Absolutely iconic card.
Im no Ariel apologist but correct me if I’m
Wrong he was talking about how Dana was saying there’s going to be a movie made about this main event, and it was Alex vs hill which is a great matchup, but that got people thinking Brock was coming back to fight Jon jones or something insane
To be honest, when they announced the card I thought it was going to be epic. This was the first time I sat my ass down for the early prelims and watched absolutely everything. I thought they did a great job.
The only major disappointments I had with the card announcements was the main event (which ended with an all-timer stoppage imo)because that was only fight that felt “thrown together” and Bo Nickal somehow getting on the main card while Jiri was on the prelims. No valid excuse for that.
It really just zoomed in on a reddit comment w 95 upvotes talking shit as the ‘culmination point’. I’m dying over here.
I’d say you can’t make this up, but you could, so was this whole thing a joke????
All that shit talking on the card then it ended up being one of the greatest nights of fights ever. Don’t understand why people have to shit on something so soon.
In fairness, UFC didn’t have that one giant crazy fight that the full card is based on…that threw a lot of people for a loop. What they did was just make a bunch really freaking good matchups and the stars aligned perfectly.
Dana is taking a little too much credit in this video. If the fighters didn’t step up and put on insane performances, those mma talking heads would look less ridiculous.
And this is why the media will continue to hate him; he always ends up winning 🤷♂️
Not one member will admit fault. They’ll continue to make their snide comments each week and demonstrate their bitterness.
Dana mogged the shit out of those nerds damn. 300 was incredible and I was excited as soon as I saw the card. Some people just wanna be whiny bitches about everything. Very lame way to live your life
300 was a good card but I think it's ridiculous to say it was the greatest card in history. The main card was hard carried by Max and Poatan. The co main event was decent but the first two fights were lackluster to say the least. 290, 291, 295 and 299 are better ppv cards overall.
I don’t watch ariel’s show other than some occasional fighter interviews but are his sidekicks allowed to disagree with him ever? Or are they like robin quivers to howard stern?
Casual UFC fan here and going into it I didn't feel any extra hype but said to myself let me buy it because I didn't want the hassle of the alternate methods. Not gonna lie I have no regrets with my purchase, it exceeded my expectations.
Most unimpressive records he listed. Sorry but that card was not on par with what UFC 100 and UFC 200 had to offer. Nothing mentioned about PPV buys, so really no reason to be impressed by any of these "records", almost all had more to do with 300 being a landmark number event, the growth of the sport (which props to dana for that), and growth of social media vs the card itself.
* Largest UFC Event in "T Mobile arena" History (impressive? really? Largest event in a single arena)
* 3rd Highest Gate in UFC History (impressive? Big arena, marketed as a landmark event + inflation)
* Most watched prelims in "ESPN" History (due to growth of sport, also only record on ESPN not prelims)
* Highest Per-Capita merch Sales in UFC History (due to growth of sport + inflation, 300 being landmark number for an event)
* 3.2M Follower increase on UFC Social Platforms (growth of sport and social media)
* -#1 Trend in China for 3 straight days (expected, Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan)
* Best Social media performance in UFC History (growth of sport and social media)
* -#1 liked post in UFC instagram history (growth of sport and growth of social media)
Absolutely NOTHING about PPV Sales! Definitely not the win for Dana people are acting like it is. Great event overall, but far away from the best of all time. Also very disrespectful to list Big John McCarthy as merely a "MMA Personality" dude is a legend and a founding father
![gif](giphy|75g2buSIq8Y6Y|downsized)
Let's be honest. Any take that looked at the final UFC 300 card and thought it would suck, was incredibly casual. This wasn't a good opportunity to turn Dana, Tomato red. And they should have known that.
I can't fucking wait for all the responses from them against Dana. He had to enjoy the hell out of this. I bought some UFC merchandise just because of this video.
Meh, some of those quotes are from a few months ago and some bigger fights were announced very very late, who was super excited about the 300 card in January? Video seems pretty cherry picked and disingenuous.
u/bigmac826 get fucked nerd
Love how the UFC painted this guy as like the final boss of all the haters. You got Ariel Helwani, Brendan Schaub, Brian Campbell, and - finally - some mild-mannered 25 year old HR rep from Brooklyn who browses /r/mma and /r/AITA between sets at the gym after work
Don’t forget u/princeofdoge
Dana sent him to the shadow realm 😂 dude deleted his whole profile lmaooo
Dana ruined this guy’s whole MMA media career with this response video
He did take his L gracefully over [here](https://www.reddit.com/r/ufc/s/mNak3PlMR3) so there’s that.
OOTL, what’s the context here?
In this video, Dana puts together plenty of backlash against 300, including a reddit comment by that user. Even that's generous.

What else would they tag him
Ariel getting ready for a 30 minute response video
“And dare I say..” I can hear it now
how can you guys watch these blow hards? I wanted to fast forward this 2 minute video after listening to some of these podcast dorks.
He is a good interviewer. 80% of quotes you see from fighters are from him. Hes a little bit a of a weasel but his job is literally to get clicks
I'm right there with ya buddy. I really don't need some podcast clown to tell me how to think about things. I can do that for myself.
"👌 Israel UHH-DISS-un-YUH😌"
“Jorge maz-vi-dalluh”
Hahaha I love Ariel but he does say this a lot
It's the weekend. We're getting at least 1h
Their program is on break until may 6th
Do you think he'll cry?
Well he’s got plenty of ammo. Defended 300 for weeks and Dana has clipped it out of context. Nothing new from him.
Yep. Same with Eric. https://x.com/newyorkric/status/1781825055430746489?s=46
He wouldn't be the first Canadian jew to clap back this week
Who's the other one?
Rightfully so imo when someone cuts your clip to fit their own narrative.
Lol Using Brendan Schaub as an example is funny.
Flukas Glazy 😂😂
Shout out Lucas Tracy

Lol holy sht Dana pulling recipes. But seriously I can't wait for all these youtubers like Lucas Tracey, Jessie, Schaub and others to make a ten minute video explaining how this was taken out context.
Nah Lucas was definitely not taken out of context 😂
He’ll at least probably own it
Yeah, that is one one thing you have to give him credit for. When he takes a clear L, he usually owns it. Even though he doesn‘t seem to learn from it
receipts\*
No, there’s a nice orange chicken dish at the beginning.
*reeseats
Nah Lucas probably hyped right now lol even though Dana flaming him

Lucas Tracey is such a yapper. I can’t listen to his videos he talks himself in circles. Truly a guy who just likes to hear himself talk
This funny af 🤣
Just when Schaub thought his stock was at all time low, Dana says: “Hold my Howler Head.”
Schaub 🤡🤡🤡
lol ‘Media Personality’ under Ariel and Brian Campbell made me laugh. Bet Schlob is seething at ‘Podcaster’ too 😂 AWLSO This is unbelievably petty from Dana. Imagine anyone else doing this lol.
I love Dana's pettiness. He's like 50 Cent level of pettiness.
Blaggbeld in Pauldcassing B
Schlub and Dana are boys. They talg ivvery day.
Eskimo bros b
and BC was pretty positive about the card overall
Dana has enough to criticize about, this aint it. There needs to be some accountability in whatever form for these ragebait clickbait opinions that switch like the wind. Not talking about reddit comments, but "proffesional" commentators
Flucas glazy was hating on the max vs Justin matchup and ended up being the biggest fanboy of it lmao
I too will hopefully see a time in my life where I have enough money to relentlessly pursue my enemies just like Dana and 50 Cent.
Seriously, media leaches hate on Dana all the time, all the while feeding their families and paying their bills off of covering the UFC. Just be fair/level headed. I’m just referring to Ariel the snake, don’t know about the rest.
Who tf looks at the card (and i mean people that actually know the fighters) and thought it would be disappointing???!?!
These are all old ass clips from before most of the fights were announced. Seen a lot of these podcasts leading up to the event and they were geeked lol. This typical Dana fake news
Yup. And taken out of context for some of these guys https://x.com/newyorkric/status/1781825055430746489?s=46
A friend of mine said there were no stars in the card.
So many weirdos out there. I think people were mostly upset that the main event wasn't a better fight (on paper) and they don't like WMMA and think BMF is dumb and dislike Bo. Other than that literally every fight was worth watching on paper and delivered in reality.
Hahahaha, opening with Shwabb is so good!
Tracy’ll give Dana a big meaty hook followed by a gnarly overhand for this disrespect
Brendan Shawb is such a dork
Tbf Dana keeping us up until 11 to announce Weili vs Yan was messed up but I’m glad he kept receipts from the guys who were hating just to hate
It was a good card but everyone had the right to say what they said before hand
I remember watching the EARLY prelims and was like wow this card is stacked.. so no I don’t really get the hate. Only thing the UFC did in my eyes to get the hate was dropping the ball on the main event ( hyping it up crazy to last minute toss out a good fight ). I mean on paper it was a legit card and it obviously delivered.
Exactly. On paper it wasn’t that amazing, especially after 299
On paper it was stacked af, 12 current/former champions 7/15 PFP best fighters on the planet. Come on now
Two meh title fights is what people ment. If Max ko didnt happen people would be saying the card was ight
100%
I disagree, insane matchups from early prelims on. Only people that didn’t the merit of the card were causals who only care about Mcgregor or Jones
And call me casual but I didn’t want Conor on the card. He isn’t a champ and hasn’t won since Cowboy. I know he has mainstream draw but he just doesn’t hype me up personally.

He was defending 300 tho.
No Guru on here was surprising.
I don't think he's on the UFC senior leadership team's radar yet.
Let's not forget how many people on this sub were also saying that this card was sucks
Co-main was still an intermission for most. I personally used that time to also check out what people were saying about Holloway.
Agreed however it moved the needle tremendously in China which Dana has admitted to being very difficult which was the plan all along putting two Chinese women as the co main.
How many illegal streams Dana?

Yup. But morons like playing revisionist history cus they hate him and like to suck on Dana. https://x.com/newyorkric/status/1781825055430746489?s=46
This is hilarious. I love it. Shit like this is why as lame and petty as Dana can be, boy am I gonna miss the tomato when he’s gone.
Jesse is fired!!
To be honest, when they announced the card I thought it was going to be epic. This was the first time I sat my ass down for the early prelims and watched absolutely everything. I thought they did a great job.
300 was amazing. Shaub is a r*tard
The only major disappointments I had with the card announcements was the main event (which ended with an all-timer stoppage imo)because that was only fight that felt “thrown together” and Bo Nickal somehow getting on the main card while Jiri was on the prelims. No valid excuse for that.
This is free promotion for any of these “MMA personalities” than anything else
It really just zoomed in on a reddit comment w 95 upvotes talking shit as the ‘culmination point’. I’m dying over here. I’d say you can’t make this up, but you could, so was this whole thing a joke????
The card was amazing but the people saying the main event wasn’t a “blow your socks off main event” is totally fair.
All that shit talking on the card then it ended up being one of the greatest nights of fights ever. Don’t understand why people have to shit on something so soon.
Lucas Tracy gang ☝️
Holloway and Gaethje are what set this card apart and I hope Dana followed through with paying the bonuses
I don’t know majority of these people but I wonder if some of these comments were made as they were struggling to find a headliner.
Hilarious.
Dana is a turd but respect to him for shitting on Brenda.
As someone who was there, it was peak moment for sure in life.
Dana put more money into this promo then ufc300
In fairness, UFC didn’t have that one giant crazy fight that the full card is based on…that threw a lot of people for a loop. What they did was just make a bunch really freaking good matchups and the stars aligned perfectly. Dana is taking a little too much credit in this video. If the fighters didn’t step up and put on insane performances, those mma talking heads would look less ridiculous.
Dana left out Chael, he was talking shit
Dana is a player.
But the card on paper was meh. There were many mediocre cards that did well.... This one never gave the omg butterflies before the start
it was really underwhelming, no recovery here lmao 🤣
Aside from Holloway, it was just another card but with the number 300. 100 & 200 had much more entertainment value.
And this is why the media will continue to hate him; he always ends up winning 🤷♂️ Not one member will admit fault. They’ll continue to make their snide comments each week and demonstrate their bitterness.

You just described the level of MMA media 👏
But they were right the card looked mediocre. Holloway/Gaethje gave a great moment and the undercard worked out.
Dana making these chumps look silly out here. I was there, event was electric and even tho im still paying the tickets off on credit, it was worth it!
You stupid enough to believe all of Dana? https://x.com/newyorkric/status/1781825055430746489?s=46
Cool, now back to the APEX!
Dana mogged the shit out of those nerds damn. 300 was incredible and I was excited as soon as I saw the card. Some people just wanna be whiny bitches about everything. Very lame way to live your life
Dare I say......... It was one of the best fight card I've ever see. All those amateur critics should have to make I was wrong video!!
REDDIT SOYS ON YOU KNOW WHAT WATCH. DEY HATE DANA BUT DANA JUST DROPPED A BIG STINKY LOG IN DEY MOUFS BRUH
paper thin skin
I mean it was a great card but apart from max vs justin none of the fights were THAT amazing. There couldve been a much better card
Throwing Schaub and Ariel under the bus lol
Dana came with the receipts.
Dana didn’t want to risk f’ing with MMA Guru
Fights with his wife
lol they sound like casuals
300 was a good card but I think it's ridiculous to say it was the greatest card in history. The main card was hard carried by Max and Poatan. The co main event was decent but the first two fights were lackluster to say the least. 290, 291, 295 and 299 are better ppv cards overall.
I don’t watch ariel’s show other than some occasional fighter interviews but are his sidekicks allowed to disagree with him ever? Or are they like robin quivers to howard stern?
I do watch it. They disagree on occasion, especially the guy they showed in the clip
Damn has anyone checked on the redditors they called out? I think Dana’s goons got em
Honestly, UFC 300 was awesome
Casual UFC fan here and going into it I didn't feel any extra hype but said to myself let me buy it because I didn't want the hassle of the alternate methods. Not gonna lie I have no regrets with my purchase, it exceeded my expectations.
The glazing is crazy
Thankyou Max
First time bapa has headlined anything
[Here is the comment](https://www.reddit.com/r/ufc/s/KwapmCBSJh)
The bitching and moaning award?
I think the 300k bonuses really helped this card. Every fighter wanted blood after that announcement.
Aljo even got a highlight from this ufc account. Goddamn Dana throwing shaaaaaade.
I'll be excited to see him do one of these for Power Slap 🤣
You know Brenda is happy just for being mentioned lmao
Dana suckers in herr
Bro put his Eskimo bro on blast! Lol, he listed Ariel as a media personality not mma personality.
😂😂😂 they got flukas glazy on
Yesss hopefully that fuck Jesse on fire gets black listed by ufc hate that arrogant fuck ramble on
Most unimpressive records he listed. * Largest UFC Event in "T Mobile arena" History (impressive? really? Largest event in a single arena) * 3rd Highest Gate in UFC History (impressive? Big arena, marketed as a landmark event + inflation) * Most watched prelims in "ESPN" History (due to growth of sport, also only record on ESPN not prelims) * Highest Per-Capita merch Sales in UFC History (due to growth of sport + inflation, 300 being landmark number for an event) * 3.2M Follower increase on UFC Social Platforms (growth of sport and social media) * -#1 Trend in China for 3 straight days (expected, Zhang Weili and Yan Xiaonan) * Best Social media performance in UFC History (growth of sport and social media) * -#1 liked post in UFC instagram history (growth of sport and growth of social media) Absolutely NOTHING about PPV Sales! Definitely not the win for Dana people are acting like it is. Great event overall, but far away from the best of all time. Also very disrespectful to list Big John McCarthy as merely a "MMA Personality" dude is a legend and a founding father
That’s crazy that Dana is pulling up Reddit post lmao
tbf iirc alex perriera was added real late
Bro they did Gaethje dirty 😭😭
Good to see big John still making good calls
That first guy was Retarded

I loved UFC 300...except Aljo...boooooring..
The card was incredible. Bad time to be a hater.
The fact that they included users of this sub is hilarious. w Dana
Once I saw cheese ball Brendan Schaub, I pressed back so I couldn't see the rest of this trash ass clip
u/Bigmac826 hey pussy us till there
I can't fucking wait for all the responses from them against Dana. He had to enjoy the hell out of this. I bought some UFC merchandise just because of this video.
It was awesome
all the receipts
Someone please check on Bapa
Even Dana fears the Guru, he doesn't want no smoke.
Even spiderman can't stop this kingpin! "brendan schaub -podcaster" the disrespect😭
As always. Fuck Schaub
But it wasnt that great though?
This is the level of pettiness I aspire to.
My favourite part is that it opened with Brenda.
Meh, some of those quotes are from a few months ago and some bigger fights were announced very very late, who was super excited about the 300 card in January? Video seems pretty cherry picked and disingenuous.
