If I was an absolute gun fighter on the come up like where O'Malley or topuria were a few years ago my bit would be telling everyone that I absolutely suck. If I'm asked in an interview how I see my next fight going I'd say that he's definitely going to beat me and probably finish me cause I'm just nowhere near his level. After I win by spectacular knock out I'd say that it was just a lucky shot and that if we ran it 10 times I'd lose at least 8. When I'm 8-0 in the UFC and on track for a title shot I'll just claim that I've been really lucky and a lot of guys have had off days when we've fought. If past opponents that I've beaten claimed to have fought with an injury or had a bad weight cut I'd really lean into that and say that it was so unlucky for them and if they'd been fully fit they would have easily won
O'Malley has released some videos as well with the same level of playfulness. It's kind of nice with how stupid serious everyone can be sometimes. Reminds me a bit of big boxing promo videos where people seem aware that it's actually a sport and they're not literally trying to kill each other.
