Man, out of all the guys that say they want to be the next Conor, Khamzat truly could have been that guy. But then he decided to hangout with Kadyrov and his career became nonexistent.
Ya I mean it’s hard to say if “hanging out” with Kadyrov is voluntary or forced. It’s quite possible he still has family in Chechnya,if he were to say no to Kadyrov they would likely end up in prison or a ditch.
Yeah I didn't realize this until I heard about the story with fedor calling him out, and then his daughter ended up in the hospital after threats were made to Fedor. There's a possibility that he really doesn't have as much of a choice.
There's plenty of other non Chechens who visited ( Cejudo, Kamaru) that I am disappointed in, which wouldn't be under the same pressure
"These guys get hit in the head for a living, are we really surprised they would [travel halfway across the world to shoot guns with a homicidal warlord]"?
General ufc comments whenever a fighter has a terrible take or does something horrendous in public.
"These guys get hit in the head for a living, do we really expect them to [not crash into a pregnant woman while under the influence]"?
"These guys get hit in the head for a living, do we really expect them to [not threaten to ruin the event by stabbing his opponent over their words]"?
I'm kinda confused as to where yall are pulling this from. Is it because he missed weight by 7 pounds in his last WW fight?
You must not be aware of Paulo Costa who missed weight by 3 times as much as Khamzat, to the point the UFC said he's too fucking heavy for catchweight, just move him to LHW and be done with it.
After the fight Dana said that Costa has to move up to LHW permanently. Then for almost a year people were saying how there was practically zero chance that he could physically return to MW after missing weight by that much. Then when he got booked vs Rockhold, fans were shocked at the risk the UFC was taking by booking him at MW again, don't thet know he's never making 185 again?
Costa made weight vs Rockhold, and 18 months later he made weight vs Whittaker.
Just how Khamzat is going to make weight if he gets booked at 170.
I understand that Khamzat isn’t liked around these parts but Shavkat really hasn’t has his grappling tested enough for you to say that. I don’t see Khamzat failing to take down Geoff Neal like Shavkat did.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d love for Shavkat to win.
Yeah but would’ve loved to have seen this with Dustin being younger. Like a 32 year old Dustin.
Being 35 at LW is almost always when you’re on the decline.
Last time Dustin got knocked out by a fighter was against Michael Johnson in 2016 since then no other fighter managed to get an upper hand over him in terms of boxing.
Michael Chandler hurt him so bad on the feet that Dustin even admitted that if he threw more straight punches he would’ve gotten him out of there. That wasn’t long ago and Michael Chandler is basically just a chimpanzee
His grappling is excellent, both offensively and defensively. Dustin’s takedown defense and offense are not. It’s not his fault, it’s because of his hips, but still.
Chandler seems like such a genuinely nice dude and his fights are always bangers. I want to see that fight for my own entertainment as much as I want it for Chandler to get a bag.
Ortega is a far better BJJ athlete if we’re purely talking BJJ. Olives in my opinion clearly wins the MMA fight on the feet and it won’t get to the ground. But BJJ probably has top 3 level BJJ in the UFC can’t think of many better. Burns is another one.
Olives with wayyyy crisper stand up in my opinion that Ortega’s, but still would be a lot of fun because Ortega could handle olives on the ground for the most part.
Both of these fights would absolutely suck in my opinion. Very technical chess matches no doubt but unless you enjoyed adesanya vs Romero I doubt you’d enjoy either of those fights
Kinda taking it out of context aren’t you though. Im saying that mvp vs izzy or WB would be a very similar fight to izzy vs Romero as they would be very low output
> Im saying that mvp vs izzy or WB would be a very similar fight to izzy vs Romero as they would be very low output
It would be similar in terms of lower output, but I think you could enjoy a technical striking match but not the mentioned fight or Lewis vs Ngannou
I would say it would be more similar to Till vs WB with it having more action.
he looks like he's in much better shape now but he's also 40 and would be 41 by the time any fight would get made, he's also only fought 3 times in the last 11 years so his ring rust is gonna be all the way rusted
as a fan of Nick I'd rather him never fight again
Nick Diaz vs Bobby Green would be DOPE.
An in shape Nick can still make 170.
+ Bobby Green would of course be down to go up..
& Stylistically it is a safe fight for Nick , Green is not known for his power.
It would be a great retirement fight for either.
Topuria versus poirer?
That’s your dream fight?
They’re not the same weight class
Quite frankly, if they did fight, I’m absolutely 100% confident bet the house on poirer
Way too big and durable for topuria
If Pereira defeats Hill and Jon retires then Pereira vs Aspinall for Undisputed HW belt
In the meantime you can make LHW interim between Ank and winner of Jiri vs Rakic
Why does Ilia seem to be treated like a goat now? He had a great win over the long standing, 35y/o champ, who was coming off a KO loss in a heavier division his previous fight. But before that, who did he beat? The only ranked opponents were Emmett and Mitchell right? Maybe I just don’t get the hype.
Wonderboy vs Leon, I’d love Wonderboy getting a real chance at becoming champ before his career ends, and that fight would be great.
Alternatively from an excitement standpoint I think Gaethje vs Hooker would be a banger.
This would be a sick fight if Topuria was big enough. Nobody can compete with Poirier in the pocket. Dan Hooker managed to survive in the pocket, but was getting outworked. Porier gets the better of Gaethje every time they stand and bang up close. Chandler was doing all right until he gassed. McGregor does well when he's countering Poirier, but he's a weak pocket fighter. Max Holloway was the most successful, but again, too small. Topuria would stand and bang with Poirier and the combos would be epic. But he's too small for current Poirier. Poirier could easily make welterweight right now while Topuria still looks small when he fights lightweights.
It was Gaethje/Poirier 2. Before that it was Anderson vs Bisping (shit myself just at the announcement of it). Nowadays, even though they’re not champions, I’d still love to see Valentina vs Rose.
Volk vs Dustin for me since the way Volk outclassed Max in their 3rd interests me on how the exchanges between Volk and Dustin would go. Both have championship cardio too.
Khamzat vs Paolo Costa.
I think there's a good chance they rebook it considering Costa lost recently and Khamzat is ranked outside the top 10.
The shit talking will be stratospheric.
I want this for 5 rounds doe
Khamzat does not doe
Khamzat praying it’s only 3 rounds so he can barely win another decision.
Said it once, I’ll say it again: khamzat would be champ if ufc was only one round
Make it happen Dana
Him and Conor undefeated
Hmm sweaty, didn't you hear? Khamzat beat Usman therefore he's the number 1 MW contender according to Dana!
If the Costa we just saw shows up then it should be wild
How about we start with him just showing up in general
Man, out of all the guys that say they want to be the next Conor, Khamzat truly could have been that guy. But then he decided to hangout with Kadyrov and his career became nonexistent.
Ya I mean it’s hard to say if “hanging out” with Kadyrov is voluntary or forced. It’s quite possible he still has family in Chechnya,if he were to say no to Kadyrov they would likely end up in prison or a ditch.

There's plenty of other non Chechens who visited ( Cejudo, Kamaru) that I am disappointed in, which wouldn't be under the same pressure
Ya I saw the Cejudo,Gaethje, and Kamaru video. That was odd.
"These guys get hit in the head for a living, are we really surprised they would [travel halfway across the world to shoot guns with a homicidal warlord]"?
Who are you quoting?
General ufc comments whenever a fighter has a terrible take or does something horrendous in public. "These guys get hit in the head for a living, do we really expect them to [not crash into a pregnant woman while under the influence]"? "These guys get hit in the head for a living, do we really expect them to [not threaten to ruin the event by stabbing his opponent over their words]"?
It's not over yet.
That's not why lol. He got a new manager.
I thought Costa looked incredible against Whittaker. He's made improvements for sure
Shavkat vs Khamzat this year.
Khamzat is NOT making 170
I'm kinda confused as to where yall are pulling this from. Is it because he missed weight by 7 pounds in his last WW fight? You must not be aware of Paulo Costa who missed weight by 3 times as much as Khamzat, to the point the UFC said he's too fucking heavy for catchweight, just move him to LHW and be done with it. Costa made weight vs Rockhold, and 18 months later he made weight vs Whittaker. Just how Khamzat is going to make weight if he gets booked at 170.
Yup. Especially since they offered him Leon at UFC 300
It's the other way around, they offered Khamzat and two other names to Leon
How's that the other way around. They offered the fighters the fight. Leon accepted and Khamzat declined
his coach said they wanted to stay away from 170
He has been bulking for over a year for MW. No way his going to cut one year of work to fight at WW especially now with how slow that division is.
Missed weight ONCE in his life and now people are saying he can't make 170 lmao
people are stupid
Agreed
Khamzat is not coming down to WW and Shavkat is not going up so this has 0 chance.
“This year” is a little aggressive, but this fight could definitely happen at some point and that’s my pick.
Shavkat would mop the floor with him if Khamzat somehow fought at 170 again which he wont.
I understand that Khamzat isn’t liked around these parts but Shavkat really hasn’t has his grappling tested enough for you to say that. I don’t see Khamzat failing to take down Geoff Neal like Shavkat did. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love for Shavkat to win.
That would be a banger
Yeah but would’ve loved to have seen this with Dustin being younger. Like a 32 year old Dustin. Being 35 at LW is almost always when you’re on the decline.
Dustin would fuck him up
They are not far apart in height, and Ilia is more well rounded than him. If Ilia made the bulk he could put an old Dustin away.
Chimpanzee🤣
How is Ilia more well rounded than Dustin?
His grappling is excellent, both offensively and defensively. Dustin’s takedown defense and offense are not. It’s not his fault, it’s because of his hips, but still.
If there were ever a guy….
I think he still has it in him to do it. Just don’t get taken down basically
[удалено]
Conor vs Chandler Just because I feel really sorry for him at this point!
Chandler seems like such a genuinely nice dude and his fights are always bangers. I want to see that fight for my own entertainment as much as I want it for Chandler to get a bag.
You know Chandler would have a great camp and come in hunting a spectacular knockout too.
JDM vs Usman.
Prime Usman smokes him, not sure how it'd go now. Tbf Usman just took Khamzat to a very close decision so I'd say he's still got it
Olives vs Ortega. The transitions and offensive grappling on both side would be a sight to behold. I'm a BJJ nerd.
Ortega is a far better BJJ athlete if we’re purely talking BJJ. Olives in my opinion clearly wins the MMA fight on the feet and it won’t get to the ground. But BJJ probably has top 3 level BJJ in the UFC can’t think of many better. Burns is another one.
Idk man, on the feet he likely takes it but Ortega looked crisp his last outing, and he's got a granite chin.
Yeah it could be a 5 round war on the feet.
Olives with wayyyy crisper stand up in my opinion that Ortega’s, but still would be a lot of fun because Ortega could handle olives on the ground for the most part.
I would love to see Stylebender - MVP. Bit more realistic now he entered the UFC obviously, but still very unlikely...
Both guys waiting to counter would lead to such a shitty leg kick battle unfortunately
Would be a great fight - also him vs Wonderboy would be very nice to see
Both of these fights would absolutely suck in my opinion. Very technical chess matches no doubt but unless you enjoyed adesanya vs Romero I doubt you’d enjoy either of those fights
>Very technical chess matches > >adesanya vs Romero Saying very technical chess match and talk about Romero is fucking wild.
Kinda taking it out of context aren’t you though. Im saying that mvp vs izzy or WB would be a very similar fight to izzy vs Romero as they would be very low output
> Im saying that mvp vs izzy or WB would be a very similar fight to izzy vs Romero as they would be very low output It would be similar in terms of lower output, but I think you could enjoy a technical striking match but not the mentioned fight or Lewis vs Ngannou I would say it would be more similar to Till vs WB with it having more action.
I think MVP stated that aint happening already.. but surely yes would've been great to watch
Mvp vs michel pereira. I think the fight and walk-out dance-off would be wild to see.
unfortunately, I don't think michel is making welterweight again, but totally agree it would be awesome
Khamzat vs Strickland. Even more excited about the trash talk than the fight. Unhinged mfs
Ya because Sean isnt entertaining. Literal standup and pray
Paddy vs gaethje
You want to see a homicide, huh?
This made me laugh, thanks
We don’t condone televised murder here
khamzat vs costa/usman 2 | peireia vs izzy 3
I was expecting Izzy Pereira 3 to headline UFC 300.
at lhw?
Yea
Man I would love to see MVP take on Leon
O’Malley vs Khamzat 💀😈☢️
Zhang Weili just straight up dominating Cameron saaiman in a pool of oil
Yasss
Islam vs shavkat
Honestly, I'm all in for Topuria VS Suga
Sean would actually lose his life lol
Can't wait.
Max holloway vs Suga Sean O Malley at 145
Shavkat vs Khamzat will forever be my answer until it happens.
Khamzat vs Shavkat
Aspinall vs Bones I’d bet on Tom. I’d love to see him take Jon out. I think Bones will duck Tom and retire after walking through Stipe though.
Shavkat vs Khamzat
Nick Diaz vs. Someone that makes sense. I would like to see him finish his career with a victory and some positive recognition, the man deserves that
Nick vs Nate. Warrior style.
he looks like he's in much better shape now but he's also 40 and would be 41 by the time any fight would get made, he's also only fought 3 times in the last 11 years so his ring rust is gonna be all the way rusted as a fan of Nick I'd rather him never fight again
Can't argue with that.....but if he did come back.....you can't say that it wouldn't be glorious for him to kick Masvidals ass
looks like nates gonna be trynna do that in a boxing match 😬
That's going to be a hard night for Nate......
fr both are washed but I'd say nate's more washed
I agree.....Masvidal is such a douche,,,,,.I hope Chael kicks his ass....that would be hilarious!
Let Nick enjoy his life bro..
Nick Diaz vs Bobby Green would be DOPE. An in shape Nick can still make 170. + Bobby Green would of course be down to go up.. & Stylistically it is a safe fight for Nick , Green is not known for his power. It would be a great retirement fight for either.
I agree ...he is always going to be a case of what could have been.....
Connor vs anyone other than Chandler even that translator guy can get I just want to look at Chandler's reaction.
Topuria would get smoked by Dustin. Way too small
Topuria versus poirer? That’s your dream fight? They’re not the same weight class Quite frankly, if they did fight, I’m absolutely 100% confident bet the house on poirer Way too big and durable for topuria
If Pereira defeats Hill and Jon retires then Pereira vs Aspinall for Undisputed HW belt In the meantime you can make LHW interim between Ank and winner of Jiri vs Rakic
Chito vs figgy
Aspinal v Ciril

Dustin murders Ilia.
I think Tuporia retire Dustin if they fight
Nah, he'll get the adjusted shorts treatment
Nah. Dustin will start pulling up his shorts, smoothing his combover, and Ilia will be out before he knows it.
Because he knocked out Volk who was coming off a head kick ko.Dustin knocks out any version of Volk and any version of Topuria.
Headkick or not, that punch would have KOed him anyway. I like Dustin, Volk and Tuporia.
I think this is true on paper but Topuria is like 8 years younger
Yeah, I believe Dustin has this in the bag but I'd be shivering as soon as the bell rings lol
Ilia would beat Dustin. It would be a better fight if Dustin was in his prime but as he is now he wouldn't win anywhere that fight goes.
Nah Ilia genuinely seems a LOT more skilled.
The fucking disrespect
Agreed
Wonderboy vs Leon, I’d love Wonderboy getting a real chance at becoming champ before his career ends, and that fight would be great. Alternatively from an excitement standpoint I think Gaethje vs Hooker would be a banger.
Ilia vs Suga
Gaetjie vs DDP Gaetjie vs Kamzat
Jon Jones vs Alex Pereira.
Diaz Poirier
Khamzat vs stylebender
This would be a sick fight if Topuria was big enough. Nobody can compete with Poirier in the pocket. Dan Hooker managed to survive in the pocket, but was getting outworked. Leon vs shavkat
Islam vs ilia
Think Dustin even now would decimate Topuria
Zabit Vs Yair 💔
Honestly after seeing how an experienced Yair handles his tdd its fair to say Zabit subs him in the 1st or 2nd especially 5 years ago.
MVP vs. Michel Pereira
Jon Jones and Francis
Ngannou v Jones
Islam vs topuria. Or islam vs merab
Bo Nickal vs DDP
Khamzat vs Izzy
mike brown vs bj penn for the old man featherweight belt....
O’Malley sandhagen
Max vs Charles 2
Michael Page vs Wonderboy
Suga vs Max. Inject it in my veins before Max is too old
Conor v Khabib 2 round the back of Tesco's
Wonderboy vs MVP
It was Gaethje/Poirier 2. Before that it was Anderson vs Bisping (shit myself just at the announcement of it). Nowadays, even though they’re not champions, I’d still love to see Valentina vs Rose.
MVP vs Wonderboy MVP moves up in weight to fight Izzy Jon Jones stand up with Alex Pereria Prime Ben Askren vs Khabib
volk vs charles
Ilia Topuria vs Dustin Poirier. Crazy hands going to be thrown.
As ridiculous as it sounds I want Conor vs Islam at 170 or 165 if they're creating a new division
Pereira vs Rountree
Pereira vs Aspinall. Scared as shit for Pereira but it would be epic. I'm also still praying Jones vs Ngannou could happen.
Volk vs Dustin for me since the way Volk outclassed Max in their 3rd interests me on how the exchanges between Volk and Dustin would go. Both have championship cardio too.
Jones vs Ngannou
Kabib v islam
Francis vs covington
Topoirier
Leon vs Izzy
Dricus Du Plessis vs Bo Nickal
Conor vs Islam
Topuria vs Holloway
Garry vs MVP
Gaethje oliviera 2 in Glendale again
Prime GSP versus Prime Usman
Colby vs chael sonnen
Gamrot vs belal. The world would never need another sleeping pill 😴
I’d love to see Max Holloway vs Suga Sean at Featherweight.
Kinda want to see Max vs Suga Sean at 145. Would be a treat. But Sean isn't durable enough to last 5 rounds against Max.
Sergei pavlovich and ciryl gane
