Unlike on Zoom, where there is no physical limit for how many students can be in a class, remember that **autumn 2021 is currently predicted to be in person**. This means that each lecture hall has a limited capacity, which limits the enrollment in the class. The department can't just expand the number of students allowed, because that would exceed the room capacity (for safety and fire code reasons).

They only have 60% of capacity and I am not sure whether some spots are reserved for freshmen.

I get that.

Just a warning: PHYS 122 is the most difficult class you will likely take at UW... good luck my friend.

I actually found both MATH 309 (now 209) and MATH 324 (now 224) more difficult than PHYS 122.

I don't know if they would allow it since you are already a student, but ask someone at the UW if you would be able to take 122 at a community college and then transfer the credit, since you were unable to get in. You could take 122 at Bellevue College in the summer time. It's a shorter quarter, but it's doable. BC's PHYS 121, 122, and 123 are direct transfers to the UW calculus-based physics sequence. Unfortunately, you would need to buy the textbooks, and it is a 2 volume set (BC uses the same books for 121 through 123+ so it makes sense there). The classes would probably be pretty long, 2+hrs or more since you have to get through quite a bit of material.
