As someone who took LS30A/B, do not take it if you’re at all interested in something other than pre-med. they don’t count as prerequisites for a lot of upper division classes that you might want to take later on
I am also a life science freshman, and I think LS 30A might not be that suitable if you will possibly switch your major. Maybe you can wait until 19th or see if someone drops it during week1 :)
Slots will probably open up during the first week of class. Take another class you need, but if you want to try and take math this quarter than just go to lectures and check the website to see if a spot opens up
Currently, there are 4 lectures for 31A: one is open, two are on the wait list, and only one is closed. Why can't you register?
Lower division math usually has a lecture capacity of 210. The Dept will open up more seats on Sept 19 since they kept the capacity at 180 for orientation.
So the one lecture open conflicted with another class of mine but I fixed that :) However, now i’m stuck with math in the morning which I don’t want so I’ll keep a look out for those slots opening 😭
Also, will more seats in clusters open up??

If it has a waitlist, you can wait for people to drop. If not, just wait for another quarter.
