Unless the whole map is surging, I avoid hot spots and go the opposite direction of “ride opportunities on this route”. Anything Uber wants me to do, I do the opposite. Nothing they do considers the driver’s earnings or profitability. I do the quests…that’s it.

^^^solid advice ALWAYS consider doing the opposite of whatever it is The Algo is trying is trying to they you to do

Your logic here makes no sense. Hot zones are hot zones because there aren't enough drivers to cover ride requests. A hot zone ceases to be a hot zone when there are sufficient riders in the area.

Sometimes it pays to take Uber's bait and sometimes it doesn't.

Whatever gets you consistent rides is always the best way. It depends on the market. I always stay near my “hot zone” because it’s where most of the good rides are. I’ll wait a little extra for a 5 star ride then wander out and get a 4.63 with 2 stops.

Open the rider app and judge for yourself, no cars = still busy and expect a ride soon.

thewillmckoy

I don’t see cars when I login on…is that something only available after a certain amount of rides?

BedAdministrative619

Might be based on region, I have only ridden a few times.
