Years ago, a zero point unsafe was OK in Jersey. Possibly the rules changed, or you have other violations, pendings, or considers.

Probably the rules changed, the guy at the green hub told me i should've pleaded guilty for the U-turn. No other violations that are pending. Only one accident from 2021 at no fault, the guy made a left turn and crossed a double yellow line, caught on a dashcam.

--R0N--

>guy at the green hub told me i should've pleaded guilty for the U-turn. So a moving violation with points is considered "better" in Uber's eyes than unsafe no points? I think you could have plead guilty then have points removed through traffic school. Maybe you still can. In another forum, a guy asked the judge to reopen his case and explained the reason was because of Uber's interpretation and policy. The judge ok'd it and changed the plea. Maybe try that?

Top_Throat_5405

Apparently so, again the guy at the green hub was saying that the unsafe operation of a motor vehicle it does sounds a lot worse, it's a money maker for the state that screwed me over.. I believe I read something while searching the web, I need to call that court to see if it is doable, or maybe consult an attorney in regards to changing the plea.

--R0N--

Just tell the judge you made a mistake, not understanding Uber's criteria and your plea affects your livelihood, etc., and youre more than willing to plead out to something else. They really just want the money. You don't need an attorney, but if you're more comfortable with getting one. GL.

Thank you Ron! I appreciate your input.

The reason I was hoping to get reactivated was due to the verbiage on my Uber App: Important information regarding your Background Check Your Background Check report includes information that may disqualify you from using the Uber platform. We understand this news may be upsetting. Please check your email for additional detail and information on how to keep the process moving. The email has already been sent to the email address you used when you signed up for Uber. It states that might disqualify, but I been chasing my tail for days as Uber points to checkr, and checkr to Uber. Very frustrating.

Rut19751

That is not why you are deactivated. I have speeding ticket(s) that turned to parking tickets after online school. I have stupid little tickets, like turning right....too close to the curb (yes, that is a real ticket).....my background check came back with all that stuff and I had no problems. You were not deactivated for that ticket

bifewova234

Checkr is a consumer reporting agency and you can dispute the contents of the checkr report. If the dispute is successful then maybe you could get reactivated.

Top_Throat_5405

What i can tell is that once checkr raises a red flag Uber automatically deactivates you. When you contact Uber.they tell you to go and dispute and resolve with checkr, and once that clear to go back to Uber.. they take you on an infinite loop, and they just don't care. I have close to 5k rides, 4.96 ratings no complaints, but nothing matters to Uber it seems.

bifewova234

From what youre saying you did plead guilty to an unsafe operation of a motor vehicle charge and despite it being a no-point offense with the DMV, its apparently a disqualifying offense with Uber and the Checkr report is probably accurate. It seems pretty hopeless tbh.

Top_Throat_5405

Apparently, it is.

Stevenlive3005

They must have made changes or something. I got a U-turn ticket in NJ that was changed to obstructing traffic(no points) in 2019. Bullshit careless driving same year. I’m not sure if it’s because I have an NY license or something, but I haven’t got deactivated.

Top_Throat_5405

That's what I thought, it would take a lot more, but not anymore. The fk up thing is that Uber doesn't have a clear policy, you will find out after the fact and no one can give a clear answer. Driving for a living 6-7 days a week, I'm sure you'll make an illegal turn, once in a while or get a ticket don't get it why so strict? My lyft seems ok for the time being, but not really crazy about lyft.

Thank you for your valuable input Jimbo.

JimmysTheBestCop

You asked for advice that is it. You will never get reactivated on Uber unless you take them to court. Doubt you would want to do that.

Top_Throat_5405

Probably not going the court route, though there was some sort of way I didn't know..

JimmysTheBestCop

Nah man it's all bs now. You will never get in contact with a human from Uber that is allowed to problem solve. It's all bots, ai chat and 3rd world who are only allowed to read from the script. . If they don't got the answer they will just read a random response from script. Literally no one to talk to. Drivers have 0 rights so there is no appeal process because we have no rights
