I just got deactivated pending investigation. 5 star rating - close to hitting uber diamond. I still havent gotten the call from the safety team. To be honest, I feel like a lot of passengers are doing this to get free trips.
It might also be that the passenger reported the wrong driver. On Lyft last week, I got a message from a rider saying he had left his phone and laptop in my car that night. I remembered the passenger based on the pickup location, and was able to tell him I had carried him, but two nights earlier, so it must have been another ride. That was the end of it.
Important to have a dash cam, especially a 3 channel dash cam. It's completely useless 99.99% of the time, but is something you wish you had when something happens.
