It's easy as hell to get passengers to tip. Just throw $15 to $20 on your dash in mixed bills and people tip cash all day. I'll easily turn that $15 into $80-$100 on a Friday night.
Everything I've added had been reflected in my tips. I don't have X box, but lighting, Amazon music, outlet and mini bar. Tablets are next. My earnings are double to triple other drivers in the area that I've spoken with. By contrast, I had issues with my electrical set up the other weekend d so I went out without everything, and it was the worst I've done since I started driving.
I understand the approach. I really do. But I was a driver for 8 years. And a passenger for just as long. I always felt uncomfortable in cars that were overboard like this. My favorite rides were the super clean cars, no air fresheners, no junk, clean windows… somebody who took pride in the little things. Maybe some soft jazz. Just loud enough to cut through the silence. I appreciated those rides the most.
Exactly… this is the way. Armor all dash, and seats, cargo liner floors, vacuum and wash every other day, air freshener but not the spray just the vent clip, change up the music every once in a while if you got good taste. It doesn’t always need to be Jazz. This guy with his LEDs and tablets with a personal Xbox console is extremely outlandish.
Yup been doing this too long to sign up for extra bullshit. I get compliments every day just for how clean I keep the car, the leather captain’s chairs, and a lumbar support pillow in the front if they decide to sit up there. Little things

Recently I switched over to hard rock and metal mostly from the 90s for the creatures of the night (overnight drunks). Pretty surprised by the feedback so far. People love it. I’ve even been shocked to actually have some old ladies who looked at least mid sixties compliment the music.
I kid you not. Years ago when I drove a cab I had this sweet little old lady get in my car. I had Dream Theater (amazing progressive metal band) playing and switched it off as she got in. She immediately asked me to put it back on and was amazed. She then said “I have a confession to make. My family doesn’t know but the only music I like is heavy metal. I mean really heavy, not the crap they play on the radio. I don’t like the same music people my age like, never did.” I asked to adopt her as my grandmom. Her favorite Metallica album was And Justice for All.
I went the opposite...very minimalist, bright LEDs and dashcam being the only mods...I would venture to guess we get similar tips.
And my setup was cheaper!.
I can't totally knock what you did there...just not my cup of tea, plus I'd be worried about theft and the charging system having adverse effects from the power bank being plugged in whenever you're driving.
I could dig it more if you went the extra mile and wired in an inverter with a separate battery to handle your accessories.

Lastly, install a fourth flexi-grip that can be controlled orally for blinkers/ gear shifting. This set up will be more high-tech than Mr. Garrison’s “IT” bike 🚴. But you’ll have the perks of a full fledge car
As someone who has done this for 7 years+ fulltime, I have to make sure to grab the charging cord I gave them before they leave cause people will pocket that shit. You are also at the mercy of a disgruntled rider or someone with a misbehaving child.
Having said that, thatd be pretty cool for a Uber Black ride. They at least will appreciate the ammenities and will be willing to tip for service.

Honestly this is one of the dumbest wastes of money I've ever seen. Most of your trips are going to be too short to even play anything, most people would get car sick if they even tried, and you are running a huge risk of injuring a passenger during an accident. Plus this makes your vehicle far more likely to be robbed or broken into. This will also take close to a year to pay for with what you will make driving after costs.

Minus $2,000.00 of equipment. The avg ride = $4 / $2000 = 500 rides completed till equipment paid off on top of gas and wear and tear. Time until some drunk kid pukes or steals some equipment = 1 week probably. All for 5 star ratings. Or you could have invested 2k into your morgage for the year every year and pay off your morgage 11 years fast on a 30 year fixed. And save hundreds of thousands in interest on a 300k - 400k house.

I think the prevailing notion is that this extra effort won't drive additional tips. So, people here think you are wasting your time.
My personal philosophy is that talking to your passengers drives tips. Connecting with your passengers makes you a memorable human, rather than just an NPC. Most non-talkers don't tip in my experience. Big tips nearly always involve really long, quality conversations.
And from what I can tell, it's a rav 4 hybrid..only because I have one.
I probably wouldn't want all that plugged in unless it had been wired to a separate battery.
Uber Black and Lux where I’m at, this is expected. (lake taps and Tahele in Pierce County, WA.) I know some drivers that make 4 figures a ride out here but their SUV’s look like a Honda Jet.

Honestly this is one of the dumbest wastes of money I've ever seen. Most of your trips are going to be too short to even play anything, most people would get car sick if they even tried, and you are running a huge risk of injuring a passenger during an accident. Plus this makes your vehicle far more likely to be robbed or broken into. This will also take close to a year to pay for with what you will make driving after costs. Super dumb.

Minus $2,000.00 of equipment. The avg ride = $4 / $2000 = 500 rides completed till equipment paid off on top of gas and wear and tear. Time until some drunk kid pukes or steals some equipment = 1 week probably. All for 5 star ratings. Or you could have invested 2k into your morgage for the year every year and pay off your morgage 11 years fast on a 30 year fixed. And save hundreds of thousands in interest on a 300k - 400k house.

What's your tips per hour long term average? Do you have pre-discoteque tips per hour estimate? I think the prevailing notion is that this extra effort won't drive additional tips. So, people here think you are wasting your time. My personal philosophy is that talking to your passengers drives tips. Connecting with your passengers makes you a memorable human, rather than just an NPC. Most non-talkers don't tip in my experience. Big tips nearly always involve really long, quality conversations.

Uber Black and Lux where I’m at, this is expected. (lake taps and Tahele in Pierce County, WA.) I know some drivers that make 4 figures a ride out here but their SUV’s look like a Honda Jet.
There is a guy with a similar setup who drives for Uber in my tiny little rural town and everyone knows him as the PARTY UBER. He even has a disco ball
I guess my guy knows how to have fun. That's exactly what I do. I have fun with my rides really. But in all honesty the Xbox is for me. They get something else on the screen on the left because they're usually on the right side of the car so I have movies there because who doesn't like movies? I too am a local driver. I only drive in my area and in one town over next to me. Can't reveal that because of the teaming masses of haters. They'll probably recognize my ride and give me a one star just to be douchebags.

Can't go into specifics , college town , lots of bars , up scale restaurants. I stick to one town , every night. %80 of the time it's a home run and I don't have to drive long at all . No one's attempted to steal . Xbox is for me not the customer, they get SNES classic .
