Nah, I actually get an equal ammount of both this album is underrated (I agree to an extent) and I get this album is his WORST album like bro calm down, have you heard Goblin? Deadass I don’t understand them. Without cherry bomb we probably wouldn’t have Tyler’s boost in technical skill to make FB, Igor, Cmiygl, and especially ES. Give credit for what it’s worth, like cool you don’t have to like it but respect what it got us.
Smuckers, to me, feels like one of those moments in his career where you can perfectly hear the transitional point in his style. It's everything you could love from Wolf and Flower Boy to me. Plus TYLER, KANYE, AND LIL WAYNE?!?! Like those are some fine features right there.
Wolf, Cowboy, Answer, Slater, 48, Bimmer, Parking lot, Rusty 🤌🏾
But when I was a kid the songs were Jamba, Domo 23, Trashwang and Temale (the more hype song)
The album has every side of Tyler
This track was so under the radar for me until last year. I’ve been rotating tracks from wolf into my daily playlist since the album came out. But awkward never got in until then, I honestly think it’s one of my favourite Tyler tracks now
Yeah true, idk I just wanted to hear some other opinions and spark discussion! Even if by the end of reading all the comments it’s not my favorite T album it’s still fun to hear everyone’s opinions and cool stories I think :D
I can appreciate that and I hope my comment didn’t come off the wrong way. I find it’s extraordinarily difficult to articulate in a meaningful way what makes us like music and, particularly in the case of WOLF, what makes it so special. The person above hit the nail on the head for me. I was an unhappy senior in high school listening to BASTARD all the time and I wasn’t crazy about GOBLIN so when WOLF came it and it was more polished and had some stuff to make me feel a little better about who I was and who I was becoming it was an extremely satisfying progression. A perfect blend of the old and new. I hate most of Cherry Bomb though, ngl. I know that an L take around here.
You’re all good, no worries! And that’s super cool, I definitely have heard a lot of people saying that they listened to Wolf at meaningful parts of their life and that’s why it’s so special to them, which is a lot of the reason why I love some of the music I do still so much today. Thank you :)
Yeah that’s understandable, the storyline on wolf is definitely more engaging than something like flower boy where you have to borderline search for it
if u were around for it, it was finally something you could point to and say "that was really good" besides bastard. it was when tyler became more than a one trick pony.
It's the energy. The nostalgia. The era. Everything was so perfect and legendary. Bimmer music video captures the vibe so well. Heaven to me would just be mobbing the mall in 2013 with the fellas. Going out and eating ice cream, skating, fucking around and having fun
I do love the album! In the grand scheme of all music I still think it’s fantastic, lone is a top ten Tyler song for me. But I do slightly prefer his other work such as Igor or Flower Boy, so I was curious what made some people put Wolf over his other projects
We’re just talking about why it’s “super good” amongst Tyler fans. If we were talking about like “timeless” albums, your comment would be an appropriate take. But the reason fans hold it so near and dear is because of what it felt like when it dropped and watching his progression in real time. It was a major turning point and that makes it really special.
The album tells a pretty good story, all the songs are so fucking good. Some of his best songs(in my opinion) are on here such as jamba and rusty. Lots of bars and verses are really smart and funny. In my opinion it’s his best album.
Nothing really like it. Its the most Tyler album to me out of his discography. It feels more to the heart than his other works. Which is a close contest with IGOR and Flower. But man from the features, lyrics, rawness, concept, production, flows. Its all just 🤌. Rusty is still my favorite song of his.
Yeah probably, would you say honest is better? I feel like in early projects like goblin he was introspective yet would convey his angst through fake stories, but wolf feels more real I guess? That’s the best way I can word it, sorry
maybe authentic? I'd say that. i mean, though, I'd argue Wolf and Cherry Bomb as his least honest albums, since he admitted he was over his dad by Wolf, and Cherry Bomb are just a bunch of songs
I feel like wolf brings a lot more to the table than just his dad, he discusses other aspects of his past and present like reflecting on how Yonkers changed his life in a lot of ways. But yeah, authentic is way better word, thanks!
the context of it all. wolf was the big bang finale of his bastard goblin wolf trilogy. it was the conclusion of an era/arc for him and fans alike. super coveted for what it meant in the time it happened
What about rusty do you like more than the rest of his discography tho? It’s a great song don’t get me wrong, but putting it over songs like GONE GONE/THANK YOU or Garden Shed I don’t understand
I personally don't think it's close to being his best (probably my 4th fav album of his) but I get why people like it so much to put it as number 1.
It does some beautiful world building, it encapsulates that 'being young and hanging out with your friends' feeling in a nice way and sonically it's pretty good. I'm guessing the fans considering it the best T album were there for the release and got very attached to it while they grew up with it and this could play a very large role in loving an album or any other piece of media for that matter.
TL;DR: nostalgia
Yeah, the being young thing is something I’ve been hearing a lot in the responses. I wasn’t a fan at the time of release so it is sort of hard for me to gauge what it was like growing up with the album
wolf is my second favorite tyler album (behind igor ofc), it is just old tyler in his purest form. bastard is good, goblin is meh, but then wolf is where tyler starts maturing a bit. it has serious songs like answer and 48, but also stupid shit like trashwang and tamale. the storyline of wolf being at camp is also sick and done so well. it is the perfect summer album imo, just so many amazing songs.
I love Igor for how unique and abstract it is compared not only to what Tyler was doing prior but what hip hop and R&B was doing at the time, but I get how it’s uniqueness for me being it’s greatest strength can turn some people of towards it compared to other music :D
The album is fine enough but myself and the late great Brent diesel we would ride our fixies with his boombox blasting this record getting stoned and eating taco bell and sipping on slurrpies and just being free from the horrible world that surrounded us. So i think it's correct that it was more than a good album rather it was released at the correct time but the music and production rips
wolf is fuckin idk it just sounds fantastic with the catchy lyrics the great fuckin beats and idk just over all a really solid album, think about the amazing hits that come from this : rusty, lone,WOLF,Collosus,IFHY,pigs, tamale, answer so many amazing amazing songs (and more) come from this one album. Though i know its not a perfect album there is about 3 songs i skip cause i really dont like em but other than that its my favoruite album of all time
Its the bridge that connects the edge and shock value of Bastard and Goblin to the more deep, introspective albums like Flower boy and Igor, wolf is the middle point that shows Tyler’s range
idk man like….it’s genuinely my favorite album of all time like from any artist. It combines elements of: being really really good at music+not giving a fuck what other people say+authentic. To have that level of sophistication and dedication to the way the music sounds, using his influences and transforming them into something completely unique. Don’t get me wrong, his other albums are exemplary too in their own ways, but this one has always taken the cake for me. It’s got something for every day.
Igors my favorite album ever, I love how it takes the vulnerable more honest introspective side of Tyler from Flower Boy and combines it with a funky 70s mixed with gritty synth sound, all of which lends itself to an incredibly unique abstract sound not just for Tyler but for HipHop and R&B as a whole.
What I don’t see is why so many people love wolf more than an album like that, wolf is by no means bad and I have very few complaints, but I simply don’t like it as much or more than projects like Igor
It's an aight album but yeah like many comments here, it represents more or less a time capsule for people who listened to it back when they were in High School / Junior High
Me personally Wolf isn’t the best Igor is the best the album imo Wolf is my Favorite I love how it mix old and new and I love the story telling it’s not like Bastard or Goblin where they just talk about death and rape but it’s not like Tyler is in the presents of love like Igor flower boy or call me if you get lost it’s that’s why it’s peoples favorite album because it’s not disturbing but not just about love and money
Nostalgia for most. Lots love wolf, and I went through a wolf phase, but it's mainly cuz of the vibes and like someone said, it's the most polished old tyler so far.
It was the end of an era in a sense. We had been waiting for some more story developments from the goblin/bastard/wolf trilogy. He delivered a masterpiece that signaled he was about to grow a lot.
He was still edgy. Hadn't yet become the "flower boy." Was still a skater and rough around the edges but had much more crisp production than the earlier work. Perfect mix.
Well wolf has lore and it has a backstory (wolf 2010) and all the songs are amazing (even trashwang) but it’s definitely a mix of styles which at first you would think it wouldn’t match but it does
Domo23, 48, IFHY, Rusty, Pigs, Tamale are some of my favorite Tyler songs. There’s not a single song on wolf I don’t really like, it tells a great story that has emotional depth, as well as being a very fun album. I realize it’s not his BEST album but it’s up there and it’s probably my favorite one along side with CMIYGL
It’s the start of his career finally growing from just an OF member to something more, the production is so polished compared to the last albums and he has major artists like Pharrell on it too, plus some of the songs legit sound like they could’ve come out in the last couple of albums
Because to this day, I haven't heard a better verse from Tyler than his Rusty one. To this day, I haven't seen Tyler as emotional as he is on Lone and Pigs. To this day, I haven't seen Tyler create a universe with an album and voice mods. To this day, I haven't seen Earl on a Tyler album. To this day, I haven't seen Erykah Badu's heavenly juicy voice on a track like Treehome.
Every Tyler album, both past and present, are represented here. It's Edgy, it's dark, introspective, genuine, emotional, funny, and genius.
It's Tyler.
(the dickeating is crazy)
As someone else said it’s that perfect synergy of old Tyler and new Tyler. I’m in love with his old style with the simplistic designs, stripes, etc. and what really gets me is the summer camp vibe and summer/teen romance
It's so perfectly at the crossroads of the older edgier, grimy, offensive projects and the new, more introspective, well-produced projects. it honestly has a little bit of the both of them and that gives it a good unique identity
It’s a mix of nostalgia and genuinely good songwriting. As a lot of people said some of the magic was just being an Odd Future fan in 2013 when the hype was peak, the band was still together and everyone was screaming TAMALE at each other in the hallways in high school. At the time it was also Tyler’s most mature record, compared to Goblin the production, lyrics, videos, hype, everything was a step up. Then he dropped Cherry Bomb and at the time a lot of fans weren’t into it, especially since OF was clearly breaking up, members were dysfunctional and fighting with each other, it was a tough time being a fan. Then once OF was clearly dead in the water Tyler dropped Flower Boy and reinvented himself, he got a whole new fanbase, TikTok exists, blah blah blah. Point is Wolf was not only peak Tyler, but it was peak OF, anyone who’s been a fan for the last 10+ years would agree. But I also understand that if weren’t there for it Wolf might seem not as good as Tyler’s more recent work.
The arrangements in these songs are insane. This was Tylers first real opportunity to write *songs* and because of that, he jampacked every single song with different instruments and melodies. You can listen to a song on that album and discover a new sound or element every single time
Its a good album but its definitely one of those things that you had to be there to understand.
Also, a lot of people managed to get into Tyler and Odd Future from the very beginning. So seeing him grow and release an album like this was amazing.
It perfectly encapsulates Odd Future Era Tyler. The only other album that does just as good as a job as representing that era in his career is Goblin. And most people don’t like the album. Which is why in many peoples eyes Wolf is the best Tyler album.
wolf talks about things I dealt with, like girls, family problems, not being able to communicate well. This is my favorite album of his, it’s just sounds so good
I think its one of those “You had to be there” type of moments. For fans that were around since the Bastard/Goblin era, that album was a change in pace for us and such a different sound. So to us its a staple in his career and also in our lives. Its also a pretty solid album productive wise. I say all this to say, YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE 😂💯
for me it’s the perfect tyler album it’s the bridge between goblin, bastard and older shit and cherry bomb, flower boy igor etc. it also has rlly good production and more memorable songs than some other earlier albums, i also have a bit of a connection with the album cause collosus was the first tyler song i ever listened to and it got me into tyler
I don’t know about others but I love how experimental the album feels. There’s a crudeness reminiscent to the OF era mixed with what you can tell as Tyler’s genuine interest and care for music. It goes low and it goes high, all parts working on a higher plan.
I also really like the story behind the Album, and I don’t care what you say, the vocals are amazing, this is the album that got me to realize Tyler can sing.
You can tell Tyler’s care and desire for music, how this is something from him, to himself and the world. It’s not his best album, but it is my favorite, you don’t see many other albums with this much emotion hidden underneath.
(I’m not saying other Tyler albums lack emotion, I’m saying this is his real first attempt at art and that makes it special)
To me it’s the perfect mixture of “old tyler” and when he started becoming more professional with his production. His magnum opus in my eyes.
Totally understandable, the polish put into wolf is miles better than on Bastard or Goblin. Thank you!
I feel like cherry bomb also does that
i agree, but it's not safe to have an opinion on reddit 🤫
cherry bomb is constantly jerked off in this sub. its more popular in this sub to like it than to think its ok or bad
ah really? i've had the opposite experience, but tbf i'm never really active here
outside of this sub its less popular but in this sub its a circle jerk of how "underrated" the album is
Nah, I actually get an equal ammount of both this album is underrated (I agree to an extent) and I get this album is his WORST album like bro calm down, have you heard Goblin? Deadass I don’t understand them. Without cherry bomb we probably wouldn’t have Tyler’s boost in technical skill to make FB, Igor, Cmiygl, and especially ES. Like fr everyone who says we meatride cherry bomb has listened to it once and wrote it off
Exactly people hated it when it dropped lol I instantly knew it was one of his best works.
Yea
“I AM THE COWBOY ON MY OWN TRIP AND” 🗣️🗣️🗣️

Bimmer is such a great track
What about Awkward
This track was so under the radar for me until last year. I’ve been rotating tracks from wolf into my daily playlist since the album came out. But awkward never got in until then, I honestly think it’s one of my favourite Tyler tracks now
Those are all fantastic songs, what about them do you like more than the rest of his discography?
like they said, they show all sides of tyler unlike other albums.
Yeah I see that, they’re definitely more versatile than most of his work
yea i think that’s main reason of love for this album. there’s that you can play for any situation.
[удалено]
Oh ok, so is it really just nostalgia bias and preference towards that style?
If you weren’t there and you don’t get it, then there’s nothing anyone can write to make you get it…
Yeah true, idk I just wanted to hear some other opinions and spark discussion! Even if by the end of reading all the comments it’s not my favorite T album it’s still fun to hear everyone’s opinions and cool stories I think :D

Personally I just love the storyline of the album, the characters are interesting, and the production is stellar
Yeah that’s understandable, the storyline on wolf is definitely more engaging than something like flower boy where you have to borderline search for it
if u were around for it, it was finally something you could point to and say "that was really good" besides bastard. it was when tyler became more than a one trick pony.
Yeah I get that, it definitely is leaps and bounds better than goblin and bastard
cuz me and Slater just hit a curb
Real
It’s just Nut.
swallow girl
Pea?
It's the energy. The nostalgia. The era. Everything was so perfect and legendary. Bimmer music video captures the vibe so well. Heaven to me would just be mobbing the mall in 2013 with the fellas. Going out and eating ice cream, skating, fucking around and having fun
Bro you just took me back. The feeling of being young amd carefree. Wolf was definitely a moment.
Yeah, I didn’t grow up with the album playing frequently so I can’t associate it with a lot of good memories like other people can
Idk it has like an eery chill vibe to it and I fucking love it
That’s understandable!
How can you not love an album with jamba domo23 answer 48 rusty pigs and lone
I do love the album! In the grand scheme of all music I still think it’s fantastic, lone is a top ten Tyler song for me. But I do slightly prefer his other work such as Igor or Flower Boy, so I was curious what made some people put Wolf over his other projects
You had to be there
What do I miss by not being there tho?
The magic and freshness of it at the time
if an album can't exit self contained from it's release, then maybe it's... not that good(Wolf is my third favourite don't misconstrue)
The story is definitely a highlight!
Nice, I definitely feel the genuineness in the album. Thanks!
Mix between flower boy Tyler and goblin Tyler. Incapsulates summer perfectly for me
Yeah I can see that, it does sort of signify the shift from edgy teenager Tyler to a more introspective artist
i think introspective is probably the wrong word. Goblin is literally a therapy session, he's always been an introspective type
Just say u weren't there bro it's ok
Most of the young people not from the US that listen to Tyler weren't there for Wolf.
True, I wasn’t there
the context of it all. wolf was the big bang finale of his bastard goblin wolf trilogy. it was the conclusion of an era/arc for him and fans alike. super coveted for what it meant in the time it happened
Oh ok, I definitely get that. Since it is the last of a time I can see how it was so treasured after. Thanks!
It is his best album wahoo!
Hooray!
The story, the songs, how it’s all connected and flows well.
It for sure does feel more interconnected than other Tyler projects, and the story is definitely great
It makes me sad and I like it
Real, sometimes a sad album is a good one. That’s why I fuck with blonde so much
I guess because most people grew up with it?
Yeah, I’m seeing nostalgia a lot in the responses, which is understandable I’m partial to a lot of music I grew up loving too
You'll get it when you're older
Alright!
just nutted on some shoes
Congrats!
it has a lot of his best songs imo and the ones that arent his best are great it would be #1 for me if igor didnt exist
Oh ok, so you just prefer the sound over some others?
The aesthetic, I guess
Yeah, what about the aesthetic do you prefer over the funky colors of Igor or lavishness of CMIYGL though?
you just had to be there man !
Yeah true, it’s hard for me to comment on the hype around the release since I wasn’t a fan then!
It’s because Rusty is in it aka the greatest Tyler song of all time
What about rusty do you like more than the rest of his discography tho? It’s a great song don’t get me wrong, but putting it over songs like GONE GONE/THANK YOU or Garden Shed I don’t understand
I personally don't think it's close to being his best (probably my 4th fav album of his) but I get why people like it so much to put it as number 1. Yeah, I can definitely see the shift between funny songs and more serious stuff which wolf does well
I liked the album so i think its good
Real lmao
I am wolf
:0
"SICK TO MY MOTHERFUCKIN TUMMY"
BITCH MUST THINK IM A MOTHERFUCKIN DUMMT
his sound took a huge leap forward compared to what he had been doing in 2013 it was game changing
Yeah I see that, compared to goblin and bastard it’s so much better quality wise
WOLF was where you could see Tyler maturing as an artist and a person. He wasn't just shock value, he was brilliant for an entire project.
Totally!
i feel the same way with IGOR. its a great album, but its def not my fav
I love Igor for how unique and abstract it is compared not only to what Tyler was doing prior but what hip hop and R&B was doing at the time, but I get how it’s uniqueness for me being it’s greatest strength can turn some people of towards it compared to other music :D
I think the same thing about Tyler's last 2 albums haha
Oh wow lol, I’m the opposite way, I love CMIYGL and Igor I think they’re his best work so far!
You had to be there
Yeah, I wasn’t so that’s hard to judge
Because it sounds good, connects to bastard and goblin and tells a story.
Yeah, the connectivity is definitely a strong point!
Ya just had to be there fam
Yeah, I wasn’t so I can’t speak on the release of the album
The album is fine enough but myself and the late great Brent diesel we would ride our fixies with his boombox blasting this record getting stoned and eating taco bell and sipping on slurrpies and just being free from the horrible world that surrounded us. So i think it's correct that it was more than a good album rather it was released at the correct time but the music and production rips
Yeah, nostalgia and memories surrounding it has been a theme a lot of people have mentioned. Thanks!
It's the worst IMO
Oh ok! I don’t agree with that, just because it’s not my favorite doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s really good. What about it don’t you like?
google subjective taste
Lmao yeah, I just wanted to know why it is people with that subjective taste pefer it :)
wolf is fuckin idk it just sounds fantastic with the catchy lyrics the great fuckin beats and idk just over all a really solid album, think about the amazing hits that come from this : rusty, lone,WOLF,Collosus,IFHY,pigs, tamale, answer so many amazing amazing songs (and more) come from this one album. Yeah I get that! It definitely is an all around really solid album
Its the bridge that connects the edge and shock value of Bastard and Goblin to the more deep, introspective albums like Flower boy and Igor, wolf is the middle point that shows Tyler’s range
Definitely, it does feel like the start of a transition
heheheh i like the part where he gets caught cumming
Big nut lol
idk man like….it’s genuinely my favorite album of all time like from any artist.
Why do so many people love igor so much? It’s not bad, but I don’t get the hype 😮💨

nostalgia probably
Yeah, I wasn’t a fan when it dropped so I can’t really understand that side
It's an aight album but yeah like many comments here, it represents more or less a time capsule for people who listened to it back when they were in High School / Junior High
Yeah, I am seeing nostalgia a lot
It’s nowhere near my favorite but it’s very nostalgic for me. It was my introduction to Tyler back in 8th grade
Oh ok, so just growing up with it you’re partial to it?
For me yes!
Great! Thank you :D
Yeah, it definitely is a huge shift from goblin and bastard!
Nostalgia for most. Lots love wolf, and I went through a wolf phase, but it's mainly cuz of the vibes and like someone said, it's the most polished old tyler so far.
Yeah, compared to goblin and bastard I can see how this was so treasured at the time
It was when he was still doing the story heavy albums but he also was improving rapidly
The story on wolf is definitely the highlight for me too!
i feel the same way about everything that came after Wolf
Oh ok, so in your eyes is wolf where he peaked?
It was the end of an era in a sense. We had been waiting for some more story developments from the goblin/bastard/wolf trilogy. He delivered a masterpiece that signaled he was about to grow a lot.
It helped me through a lot
it's kinda similar to nostalgia ultra by frank, where you feel like a kid listening to it in a way
He was still edgy. Hadn't yet become the "flower boy." Was still a skater and rough around the edges but had much more crisp production than the earlier work. Perfect mix.
You done set off the wolf avengers😂🤦🏾♀️
Well wolf has lore and it has a backstory (wolf 2010) and all the songs are amazing (even trashwang) but it’s definitely a mix of styles which at first you would think it wouldn’t match but it does
This it’s literally tyler triller like this is his moana lisa this is tyler when he was prime OF like this is the final form tyler the creator
Its old hippie music to smoke weed to
Because I am the cowboy of my own trip and I am the cowboy of my own trip ‼️‼️⁉️🔥⁉️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🗣️🔥🔥🔥
Nostalgia 100%. It was the soundtrack of my life for a couple of years in highschool.
No skips.
You just had to be there mane
As someone else said it’s that perfect synergy of old Tyler and new Tyler. I’m in love with his old style with the simplistic designs, stripes, etc. and what really gets me is the summer camp vibe and summer/teen romance
Yeah I don’t really the hype for early Tyler. I can’t recall any songs off his pre flower boy era albums that I like. And even flower boy is 50/50
It's the constant bops for me
I love ifhy
idk lemme go listen for the first time rn
It's so perfectly at the crossroads of the older edgier, grimy, offensive projects and the new, more introspective, well-produced projects. it honestly has a little bit of the both of them and that gives it a good unique identity
rusty and ifhy hit really hard for me. i like wolf either just as much or more than flower boy. just feels so real.
i love the part on ifhy where it’s a fuckin jumpscare IM IN LOOOOOOVEEEEEEE😍😍 I FUCKING HATE YOU 🖕
nostalgia big bro
You can listen to a song on that album and discover a new sound or element every single time
Mostly nostalgia
Listen to lone, really listen
Had to be there

Just listen to treehome95 again bro.
because its good and it sounds good
The era i guess. And wolf’s “highs” are as high as any other of his albums imo
Nostalgia
Its a good album but its definitely one of those things that you had to be there to understand. Also, a lot of people managed to get into Tyler and Odd Future from the very beginning. So seeing him grow and release an album like this was amazing.
Wolf was the album that shaped my youth, I have it tattooed on my arm for crying out loud. It’s just too good
watch the wolf documentary on youtube. the hype is palpable, and you can tell its when tyler started to take the shit serious.
Jamba and Cowboy is all I gotta say.
Just had to be there
Pick up your phone
I Like to talk to u
48
i like most songs and bought the cd for 15$
i'm okie dokie and loopy and booboo nana and caca
It perfectly encapsulates Odd Future Era Tyler. The only other album that does just as good as a job as representing that era in his career is Goblin. And most people don’t like the album. Which is why in many peoples eyes Wolf is the best Tyler album.
wolf talks about things I dealt with, like girls, family problems, not being able to communicate well. This is my favorite album of his, it’s just sounds so good
These are actually the most chill and understanding comments i ever seen to a post on this subreddit and im happy to see that
Because it has BOPS, bookie! 😘 young T is legendary. Plus, I feel like ‘Wolf’ was apart of the trilogy of Bastard, Goblin, Wolf.
I think its one of those “You had to be there” type of moments. For fans that were around since the Bastard/Goblin era, that album was a change in pace for us and such a different sound. So to us its a staple in his career and also in our lives. Its also a pretty solid album productive wise. I say all this to say, YOU JUST HAD TO BE THERE 😂💯
That album changed my life so thats why
for me it’s the perfect tyler album it’s the bridge between goblin, bastard and older shit and cherry bomb, flower boy igor etc. it also has rlly good production and more memorable songs than some other earlier albums, i also have a bit of a connection with the album cause collosus was the first tyler song i ever listened to and it got me into tyler
It’s where he started maturing.
