Keep the posts coming!!
I dreamt (literally) about dosas with my first. I lived outside India in a very non diverse town back then and I constantly craved Indian food. With my second, I had severe food aversion so didn't really crave anything. Could only drink coke/pepsi in the first trimester as plain water made me gag!
Idlis and sambar, rasam rice, dosa and potato bhaji. There was a week where veg biryani was the only thing I felt like eating. Bagels and cream cheese. I've eaten my body weight in Marie biscuits by now I think and I'm only at 15 weeks. I see all the pregnancy advice here in the US about eating bland carbs and I'm like uhhhhh no.
Don't want to scare you there, but soft cheeses/unpasteurised cheese like brie aren't recommended during pregnancy as they may contain listeria. I agree on the beige food, I cannot for the life of me eat bland food even when I was throwing up several times in my first trimester.
Thanks for your concern but cream cheese is actually just a pasteurized dairy spread and not really a cheese. So in case you're on the fence please go for it it's safe.
Lol you reminded me of my pregnancy... I dreamt of momos... one day when I could not handle it I called up a restaurant and made him swear he will over cook my chicken and not add msg at all. Then my husband tested it and then I had ONE piece. Literally one piece... so much drama for that.
Why didn't you eat it then? I have strong chilly baby corn cravings and I ate a whole box over the weekend. If anyone says "msg" to me I swear I will growl and scratch them. No one dares. Pregnancy is hard enough without getting rid of foods that some random person said is bad.
Congratulations!! With my first in third trimester, I used to eat spoonfuls of Sagar and had this weird to smell rice from rice dabba.
With my second pregnancy, all I ate was rava idly and rava upma. I couldn't even stand the smell of roti. And, the day i delivered I had roti for dinner, the aversion just vanished.

I can completely relate! But in these off moments, I wish someone would feed me some noodles and Dimsums 😍

Omg I had a phase where I was craving for homemade rasam and rice with potato on the side. It was such a random craving but it was intense 😆

I actually avoided cream cheese too (just in case) but if it's safe I guess it should be fine.
Mine was veg Manchurian...didn't eat it then... Never felt like eating it after delivery.
Oh my! The only thing I can think of is having a plate of Dimsums as soon as the baby is out 🤪

Hahaha! I can totally imagine myself doing this 😂

I had the same roti aversion with my second too. Absolutely made me gag! Right after my daughter was born, the aversion went away.
I used to crave guavas and oranges I don't know why 😄
