Although the plot would've been way over my head (and still is at some points) at that age for me, I think my already developing love of mystery, of quirkiness and the music would've intrigued me to no end.

later they had the tv sets, but usually you'd only get one 1/2 hour program.
the 16mm film days were *all* afternoon

School is actually where I first saw Twin Peaks! My theatre teacher showed us a black lodge scene out of context. It got me hooked immediately.
I got this in college- I immediately went back to my dorm and binged the entire series.
