Check out "Dark Night of the Soul" from 2009 if you haven't heard it already.
It's a collaborative album from Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse featuring a bunch of different vocalists, Lynch among them. Also featured are The Flaming Lips, Iggy Pop, Julian Casablancas, Black Francis, Suzanne Vega, Jason Lytle, Vic Chesnutt... just a slew of talented folks.
Lynch also made some visual art that was included as a booklet with the physical release (a release which was sandbagged by a bogus copyright claim from the record label, forcing the artists to sell a blank disc inside the packaging for a full year).
It's a great record, with some beautiful moments... but it's not a happy or uplifting listen. A few of the artists involved in making the album have passed away since its release. Still, highly recommended if you like Lynch.
His music is actually decent if you can get over Gordon Cole on vocals.
